  • Delta Gov Assures Oil & Gas Companies Of Safety Amid Insecurity

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori has assured oil and gas companies of a secure and stable environment for their operations in the state.

He gave the assurance when he received the management team of Renaissance Africa Energy Company at the Government House, Asaba.

The governor urged companies to prioritise strong and mutually respectful relationships with host communities.

He noted that dialogue over confrontation is essential for operational success.

Governor Oborevwori also encouraged greater corporate social responsibility through job creation and infrastructure development.

He assured oil and gas operators that the state would provide a secure environment needed for their businesses to thrive.

However, the assurance is amid growing concerns of insecurity including activities of crude oil thieves in the state.

In March alone, troops of Operation DELTA SAFE of the Nigerian Navy recovered no fewer than 11,900 litres of crude oil and 6,100 litres of illegally refined AGO in the state.

At least six illegal refining sites were also destroyed, majorly cited in Obodo Omadino in Warri, South West Local Government Area of the state.

Beyond crude oil theft activities in the state, there have been reports of kidnapping, armed robbery and other violent crimes.

In the first quarter of the year, no fewer than 13 kidnapped suspects were rescued and 24 suspected kidnappers were arrested.

While 35 suspects were arrested for armed robbery, 21 were arrested for murder and 22 for suspected cultist activities in the state.

  • How to Get Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds

In RuneScape Dragonwilds, Bronze Bars are a fundamental resource for crafting mid-game items. While seemingly basic, efficiently obtaining and utilizing them for higher-tier equipment requires understanding the process. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to get Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds easily.

Items Required to Get Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds

Before you can make Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds, you must gather Copper, Charcoal, and Tin first. You will find them scattered in the Fractured Plains. However, I suggest you stick to the western side, where you will find higher ground. You can leverage these to sweep enemies before jumping down for the ores.

Image Credit: Jagex (screenshot by Ishan Adhikary/Beebom)

To mine the Copper and Tin ore, you will need a Bone Pickaxe. Now, find the orange Copper ore nodes or the slightly darker-toned Tin ore nodes. Once you find the ore nodes, either mine the nodes using the pickaxe or use the Rocksplosion spell in RuneScape Dragonwilds. This will get you all the ores faster. You can make Charcoal by using wood in the Kiln.

    • Tin ore in RuneScape Dragonwilds

How to Make Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds

Now that you have the essential resources, follow the further steps below to learn how to get Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds:

    1. Build a Furnace

After you have the Copper and Tin ores, first, build a furnace to smelt them. To do so, click the B button to bring up the build menu. Now, select the Crafting tab and then select “Furnace“. You will need 24 Stone, 8 Clay, 4 Charcoal, 10 Fire Rune, and 8 Vault Shard to build the Furnace in RuneScape Dragonwilds.

While most of these items are easy to find, when you visit all the vaults, make sure you grab the shards with the cores. It’s better to build a fast travel point in front of the vault for regular visits.

    2. Smelt Bronze Bars

Once you have built a furnace, look toward it and click the interact (E) button. Drag the Copper and Tin into the boxes in the upper row. Finally, drag Charcoal into the fuel box at the bottom and click the play button to start smelting. Three Copper and Tin each will give you two Bronze Bars.

And that is how you can get Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds. Once you have the bars, use them in the Smithing Anvil to get more potent weapons. Have you started making the Bronze Bars to craft high-tier weapons? Do tell us in the comments below.

  • Foxconn Now Assembles the iPhone 16e in Brazil

Foxconn, one of Apple’s long-time partners in the iPhone manufacturing, has been making rounds to adjust iPhone assembly. The company has been expanding outside China for years with plants in India, Vietnam, and Brazil. The move started when Apple realized that it couldn’t be too reliant on China manufacturing due to the tensions between the US and China. Now that things are escalating in an unprecedented manner, Foxconn seems to be making some adjustments. A recent rumor suggested that Apple was looking to expand iPhone manufacturing in Brazil. Now, a new report indicates that the iPhone 16e units sold in Brazil are manufactured locally at the Foxconn factory in Jundiaí, São Paulo.

The Text Reads: Manufactured in Brazil @MacMagazine

As per a report from MacMagazine, the retail boxes of the iPhone 16e sold in Brazil feature an “Assembled in Brazil – Brazilian Industry” tag. The devices come with the A3409 model number and MD1R4BR/A identifier. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Foxconn has adopted a local manufacturer in Brazil. The giant has been assembling the iPhone SE 2020, as well as the vanilla iPhone 13, 14, 15, and 16 models in the country. In light of the recent move adopted by  Trump’s administration, the so-called Liberation Day tariffs, Apple wants to expand its presence in countries with more favorable tariffs, and Brazil’s 10% import tax (for manufacturers) is one of the lowest.

    iPhone 16e specs recap

For those unaware, the iPhone 16e arrives as a blend of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 16 in design and features. In fact, the device arrives as the new iPhone SE, but dropping the letter S. The device has a 6.1-inch OLED display and a notch for the TrueDepth Camera system. It has an aluminum frame with square-off edges, a Ceramic Shield display, a single-lens rear camera, and an A18 chip with support for Apple Intelligence. The storage starts at 128 GB and goes up to 512 GB. It has a 6.1-inch Super Retina OLED XDR display and Ceramic Shield technology.

    iPhone 16e

The iPhone 16e costs about $599, which is $200 less than the iPhone 16. It is $170 more than the prior iPhone SE, which was priced at $429. The device stands as Apple’s cheapest iPhone, however, it’s not quite as affordable as it was with the iPhone SE.

  • Manchester United Europa League semi-final opponents confirmed

In an insanely dramatic game, Manchester United have emerged victorious against Lyon as they move on to the Semi-Finals of the Europa League.

The first leg was frustrating for Ruben Amorim and his men as a disastrous showing from Andre Onana gifted Lyon two goals, ending in a 2-2 draw.

However, with the win at Old Trafford being essential for United, Amorim’s men have fought to the final whistle to secure the victory.

Ruben Amorim took a confident lead in the first half, with Manuel Ugarte opening the scoring in the first 11 minutes, before Diogo Dalot grabbed another on the bring of half time.

Unfortunately for United though, Lyon bounced back in the second half thanks to goals from Corentin Tolisso and Nicolas Tagiafico in the space of seven minutes as the half was coming to a close.

However, with the two teams now drawing, Tolisso picked up a second yellow card, putting Lyon down a man going into extra time.

With the second leg ending in a 2-2 draw at 90 minutes, extra time was called, with the game descending into madness.

Lyon took an impressive lead despite being down to ten men, going ahead by two as Rayan Cherki and Alexander Lacazette scored, taking it to 4-2.

However, United fought back with three goals in even minutes to avoid penalties and win 5-4, taking them forward on their path to the final.

The comeback was led by Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire as The Red Devils kept battling till the final whistle, securing the much-needed win.

The path to the final for Manchester United

Lifting the Europa League trophy is United’s only chance to secure European football for next year, a feat that is needed both for increased funds and to lure new signings over the summer.

A Champions League slot is on offer, and with it, £100 million in extra funding that would help to ease United’s financial struggles.

However, in their way stands Athletic Club, who beat Rangers 2-0 in the other Quarter-Final.

Amorim’s men will hoping to be victorious once again when they face the LaLiga side, although will surely be hoping to wrap things up much sooner in the game.

In the other Semi-Final, Tottenham Hotspur will be taking on Bodo/Glimt after the latter knocked out Lazio on penalties.

If United go on to beat Athletic Club, an all-English final could be on the cards. Unfortunately though, United have failed to beat Spurs in both of their Premier League match ups and in the Carabao Cup, losing all three fixtures.

However, if Spurs lose to Bodo/Glimt, United would have a confidence boost going into the game having beat the Norwegian side in the Group Stages.

  • Trump: Fed Chair Powell “Always Too Late & Wrong”

Trump: Fed Chair Powell “Always Too Late & Wrong”

    “Termination Cannot Come Fast Enough!”

(ZH) – As US equity markets continue to fall – and recession calls mount from establishment elites, despite strong ‘hard’ data’ – President Trump lashed out at Fed Chair Powell via TruthSocial this morning exclaiming that Powell’s termination from his position can’t come quickly enough, arguing that the US central bank should have lowered interest rates already this year, and in any case should do so now.

The ECB is expected to cut interest rates for the 7th time, and yet, “Too Late” Jerome Powell of the Fed, who is always TOO LATE AND WRONG, yesterday issued a report which was another, and typical, complete “mess!”

Oil prices are down, groceries (even eggs!) are down, and the USA is getting RICH ON TARIFFS.

Too Late should have lowered Interest Rates, like the ECB, long ago, but he should certainly lower them now.

Powell’s termination cannot come fast enough!

In a news conference in November, Powell was asked whether he would step down if Trump asked him to resign.

Powell gave an unusually blunt answer: “No.”

He later added that the removal or demotion of top Fed officials was “not permitted under the law.”

The President of the United States cannot unilaterally fire the Chairman of the Federal Reserve before the end of their term, except under specific legal conditions. Here’s a structured breakdown:

    Appointment Process:
The Fed Chair is nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate for a 4-year term, which is renewable. The Chair also serves as a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, who have 14-year terms.

    Legal Framework:
The Federal Reserve Act allows the President to remove a Board member (including the Chair) only “for cause” (e.g., misconduct, neglect of duty). This does not include policy disagreements or political differences.
This provision ensures the Fed’s operational independence from short-term political pressures, safeguarding its role in managing monetary policy.

    Historical Context:
Past presidents (e.g., Nixon with Arthur Burns, Reagan with Paul Volcker) have faced limitations in influencing Fed Chairs. While they could apply political pressure or decline reappointment, outright removal was not legally feasible without just cause.
Courts have historically upheld the Fed’s independence, reinforcing that “for cause” requires a high threshold, such as ethical violations or incapacity.

    Practical Implications:
A President can indirectly influence the Fed by shaping its leadership through appointments (when terms expire) or public persuasion. However, abrupt removal to impose preferred policies would face legal challenges and undermine institutional credibility.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent earlier this week indicated that the administration’s timeline for considering Powell’s successor was roughly six months away.

Speaking in a Bloomberg Television interview, Bessent said that the timing for interviewing candidates to replace Powell was “sometime in the fall.”

Bessent also said that Fed independence in deciding on monetary policy was a “jewel box that has got to be preserved.”

We suspect some of Trump’s frustration comes from the fact that China’s PBOC is doing ‘whatever it takes’ to prop up their economy/market (take your pick)…

Furthermore, Trump does have grounds for thinking that the so-called ‘Independent’ Fed is far from it following the comments from Bill Dudley in 2019…

Doesn’t sound like an ‘apolitical’ entity to us?

One more thing – for mathematically gifted among you – why did The Fed slash rates by 50bps just ahead of the election when financial conditions were already ‘easy’ but refuses to do so now that financial conditions are drastically tighter?

At least Trump hasn’t got physical with Powell… yet!

However, Trump’s ability to remove top officials at agencies that had long been viewed as having a measure of independence from the White House has come into acute focus in recent months, after the administration dismissed senior officials at the Federal Trade Commission, the National Labor Relations Board and Merit Systems Protection Board.

As Bloomberg reports, the firings are the most direct challenge yet to a 1935 Supreme Court decision that paved the way for agency independence.

Powell made reference Wednesday to a current Supreme Court case with regard to the removal of the NLRB and MSPB officials.

“There’s a Supreme Court case. People will have read probably” about it, Powell said in answering questions at the Economic Club of Chicago.

“That’s a case that people are talking about a lot. I don’t think that decision will apply to the Fed but I don’t know,” he said.

    “It’s a situation that we’re monitoring carefully.”

Powell’s term as chair runs into May 2026, while his term as a governor lasts until February 2028.
