NEWS : APC Loses Governorship Candidate In Accident

Abubakar Aliyu, speaking on behalf of the family, told reporters in Kano that the tragic accident happened on Saturday afternoon when the victims were returning from Abuja.The APC governorship aspirant Abdul – Aziz Aliyu was in Lagos for an official engagement on March 13, 2015 and was to travel to Kano same day, but had to stop over in Abuja since his flight was cancelled due to bad weather.Salmanu, who was also in Abuja for a private engagement, joined his elder brother by road to Kano during which the accident happened.The late politician son, Omeiza spoke with his father around 1:30pm on Saturday few minutes to the ill-fated journey. Aliyu said “we received the shocking and sad news of his dismiss from samaritans at the scene of the accident”. According to report none of the passengers on sharon car survived and they have been given mass burial at a location at Jere town.The father of the deceased, Jimoh Aliyu, described the tragedy as a fulfilment of destiny and added that he’ll accept it as an act of God. -

Out of their busy schedule, Mrs Aisha Buhari, the wife of the APC Presidential candidate and Mrs Dolapo Osinbanjo, the wife of the running mate of Buhari took out time to patronize a Suya seller in the popular Area 1 district in the FCT Abuja.The image show both women really getting along with each other as they made their choice of the roasted meat.It is obvious that the ambition of Buhari and Osinbanjo has rubbed off positively on the women as they are always seen in the company of each other during campaign period. NEWS: Bomb Defused, Four Suicide Bombers Killed In Maiduguri
Nigerian security averted major tragedy in Maiduguri today as they detected a powerful IED planted near an Internally Displaced Persons camp and detonated a bomb some few meters from the headquarters of the State Security Services (SSS) in Maiduguri earlier today.
The bomb hidden at Yerwa neighborhood along Kano road close to a bus station owned by Borno Express was found by security agents who notified the anti-bomb unit of the Nigerian police in the state.
The bomb that was defused around 5PM was so powerful that when it was detonated it made such a loud that sent residents in the area into panic mode. There were no reported injuries.
A source said Nigerian troops recorded some victories over Boko Haram suicide bombers in Kaga local government area in the state as they succeeded in tracking down a female suicide bomber in Ngamdu township, the teenage girl reportedly blew herself up before security agents could apprehend her. Fortunately, she was the only casualty in the attack.
Also, three suicide bombers heading to a military check point along Damaturu-Maiduguri Road were killed before they could reach their final destination. Sources revealed that with better military equipments and help from multinational troops, Nigeria has now regained the upper hand in the fight against Boko Haram terrorists.

Police are looking to arrest a man on charges of rape and kidnapping after allegedly kidnapping and raping his girlfriend because she refused to marry him, police in Mexico said. 23-year-old Viri Benitez of Chiapas, decided to dump her boyfriend, Fred Munoz Nataren, because he was violent and their relationship worsened as time went by. After she told him that she had no plans to marry him, Nataren became angry. One day, Nataren showed up at her house unannounced, claiming that he just wanted to see her.
Benitez opened the door, and Nataren grabbed her by the hair and threw her in the back seat of his car. Benitez stated that she was taken to what looked like a garage , where she was beaten. After the beating, Nataren raped her. Benitez told investigators that during the beating, Nataren told her that he was going to destroy her face so no one would want to be with her. She begged him to stop, but he just hit her harder. Luckily, Benitez managed to escape to a nearby restaurant. Nataren also fled, and police are still searching for him. -

ENTERTAINMENT: Rita Dominic To Shoot Next Movie With Oil Money
Following the success of her multiple award-winning movie, The Meeting, Nollywood actress and producer Rita Dominic has, according to reports, secured funding from an oil and gas firm for a new project.
Danium Energy Services Limited, have provided the much-needed backing for Rita Dominic and her partner and manager, Mildred Okwo for a new movie titled, Mary.
Rita was spotted at Danium Energy Services Limited, where the new movie deal was signed and unveiled.
Reports have also surfaced that Afe Olumowe, the director of When Love Comes Around will be working on the project as well.

ENTERTAINMENT: Jim Iyke Slams Segun Arinze, Says Charles Novia Needs Therapy
Popular Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke who covers the latest edition of Glam Africa Magazine, has used the medium to rant about his colleagues, specifically Segun Arinze and Charles Novia, who made a mockery of his 2013 deliverance at the hands of controversial pastor T.B. Joshua.
While speaking about Nollywood critic, Charles Novia, Iyke said, “I will deem it completely reprehensible if I say what happened was orchestrated like people suggested. Segun Arinze and Charles Novia, men that I respected a lot, came out to say something completely derogatory of what happened that day.
“I am not really cool with Novia, we have always been at odds with each other, and nobody asked his opinion on what happened to another actor. If you want to be relevant; direct movies and project your creativity, so people will respect you more.Do not involve yourself in people’s private issues, I don’t talk about your wife, I do not say she is overweight, nor do I talk about the fact that you need therapy. I do not talk about your personal issues though looking at you, I am sure you have enormous personal issues.”
The actor went on to talk about Segun Arinze, saying, “I do not talk about Segun, I know one or two things about him like he knows about me. We are not that close so he has no authority to talk about what happened in my life.
He used to be like a big brother, one that I respect, but he lost all that because of the way he went about this issue. I had people that shared my experience, people that were happy for me. I went there to get answers for something entirely different.
There are things that happen in your life that if you don’t have the answers to, you go to a higher calling to make sense of it. When I got there, in a space of 5 – 10 minutes, something transpired and till this day I do not know what it is.
They thought it was a PR gimmick that was to the gain of a Synagogue Church against one of Africa’s top celebrities, and they needed some sort of validity and authenticity, they believe I was used, well that is their opinion.
You cannot choose your time and place with God, you do not have that authority, God chooses it. The medium with which it happened was through a man, but my focus is the architect, so let them focus on man and a make mockery of it, I do not care what they say, my focus is on God.”
