  • NEWS: INEC Postpones Election In Federal Constituences In Jigawa

    DUTSE – The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has announced the postponement of election in seven out of eleven federal constituencies in Jigawa state.

    The resident electoral commissioner in charge of state, Alhaji Halliru Aliyu Tambawel announced the development while briefing news men yesterday night at INEC headquarter in Dutse, said the postponement was due to the short-fall of Sensitive materials including ballot papers and results sheets from the central Bank of Nigeria.

    He listed the affected seven federal constituencies as Dutse/Kiyawa, Ringim/ Taura, HadeJia/Kafin Hausa/Auyo, and Jahun Miga federal Constituencies of Jigawa state, others include Gumel/Maigatari/Sule tankarkar/ Gagarawa, Kaugama/Malam-madori and Gwaram Federal constituencies.

    Tambuwal explained that the remaining four federal constituencies in the state election will hold today and they include Babura/Garki, Birnin Kudu /Buji, Birniwa/ Guri/Kirikasamma and Kazaure/Roni/Gwiwa/’Yankwashi federal constituencies in the state.

    The resident electoral commissioner further explained that, the Presidential election and senatorial elections will hold as scheduled in all the 27 local government areas in the state as the commission received both sensitive and non sensitive material for the election and ready for election.

    With only His third touch of the night as a second half substitute on the 70th minute on His debut for England scored His first international goal. It was the moment Harry Kane and most Wembley fans had been waiting for after a superb cross by Raheem Sterling and a clinical header by Kane in the 73rd minute of the game. England put four past Lithuania with ease courtesy of Wayne Rooney opener, Danny Welbeck heading in a deflected ball in and Raheem Sterling second half goal has put England six point clear off their group as they are in a  comfortable position for qualification ahead of Euro 2016. All these goals was enough for England to kill the game but it was Kane who put the icing on the cake for England. The young lad has already scored 8 goals in 10  appearance for England under 21s before His first called up as a full England international. Harry Kane could now be regarded as the Man with the 'midas touch ' as he already has 29 goals for Tottenham so far this season.

    1.  Treating Diabetes : The mango leaves are very useful for treating diabetes. The tender leaves of the mango tree contain Tannins called Anthocyanidins, which helps to treat early diabetes. The leaves are dried and powdered or used as an infusion to treat the same. It also helps to treat Angiopathy diabetes and diabetic Retinopathy. Mango tea leaves are very good for this purpose. Soak the leaves in a cup of water overnight, strain and drink the water to help relieve the symptoms of diabetes. It also helps treat Hyperglycemia. The leaves contain a compound called Tarakserol – 3beta, and Ethyl Acetate extract which synergize with insulin to activate GLUT4 and stimulate the synthesis of glycogen. 
    2. Lower Blood Pressure : Mango leaves helps to lower blood pressure as they have hypotensive properties. It helps to strengthen the blood vessels and treat the problem of varicose veins. 
    3.  Treats Restlessness : For people suffering from restlessness due to anxiety, the mango leaves provide a good home remedy. Adding two to three glasses of mango leaf tea to bathing water helps to treat uneasiness and refreshes the body. 
     
    4.  Gall And Kidney Stone : The mango leaves help treat kidney and gallstones. Daily taking a finely ground powder of mango leaves which are dried in the shade with water, kept in a tumbler overnight, helps in breaking the stones and flushes them out. 
    5.  Respiratory Problems: The mango leaves are good for all kinds of respiratory problems. It is especially useful for people suffering from cold, bronchitis and asthma.     The Rivers state Police command has released a statement regarding the alleged attack on Governor Rotimi Amaechi's convoy in Port Harcourt yesterday March 26. In the statement, the police said contrary to what was said by the Amaechi's Chief Press secretary, David Iyofor that political thugs loyal to the PDP attacked the governor's convoy, it was Governor Amaechi himself who orchestrated the gunshots fired at his convoy to gain public sympathy.     “The police wishes to react to the news that went viral on both normal and social media quoting David Iyofor, chief press secretary to Rivers state governor, to the effect that gunshots were fired at the convoy of his principal at Rumuolumeni, Obio/Akpor local government. To put the records straight, after a successful and peaceful rally under the close watch of policemen led by the divisional police officer of the area, shots were indiscriminately fired from the convoy of the governor for reasons best known to them, as against the wispy claim of David Iyofor. No shots were fired at the convoy of the governor. The false alarm, which is the usual penchant of the state government, may not be unconnected with the bogus claim of assassination attempt by his principal that is to just whip up public sympathy. The command urges politicians to refrain from whipping sentiments by toying with security issues to create needless public panic, where there is none, please.” the statement read

    This man and his friends discovered a giant snake with hugely swollen stomach in the bushes and decided to cut the belly open to see what was inside the snake. What they saw left them shocked. It was another giant reptile. The snake's last meal had actually been another huge snake, both nearly identical in size. The man pulled the second snake out of the body of the first one and laid them both on the ground next to each other.
