The Governor of Abia state, Dr. Alex Otti, has approved a series of additional appointments and reassignments of officials to strategic roles, in a bid to strengthen his administration and foster effective service delivery.
These appointments were seen in a statement made available on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ukoha Kalu Ukoha.
According to the statement, the following individuals have been appointed to key positions:
- Barr. Chijioke Nwankwo – Deputy Chief of Staff, Deputy Governor’s Office
- Mr. Emmanuel Okpechi, FCA – Special Adviser, Internally Generated Revenue
- Dr. Emeka Enyiazu – Special Adviser, Education (Tertiary)
- Mr. Chinasa Frank Iheanyi – Liaison Officer, National Assembly
- Mr. Ndubuisi Ike – Special Adviser, Finance & Economic Development
- Dr. Eric Egwuibe – Special Adviser, Budget and Planning
- Mr. Osinachi Nwaka – Director General, Ministry of Finance Incorporated
Reassignments:
To further align with the state’s strategic priorities, the following officials have been reassigned to new roles:
- Mr. Chimereze Okeigbo – Chief Executive Officer, Abia SME Microfinance Bank
- Urenna Abazie – Director General, Abia State Orientation Agency
- Mrs. Chinwe Kalu Uba – Special Assistant, Industry & SMEs
- Mrs. Matilda Anyamele – Special Assistant, Arts, Culture & Creative Economy
The Governor reaffirmed his dedication to promoting growth, innovation, and transparency in the state’s governance.
The statement said these recent appointments and reassignments reflect his administration’s commitment to harnessing talent in order to address Abia State’s developmental priorities.
