Abia state Governor Dr. Alex Otti has officially declared the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) 2024 Batch “B” Stream 2 Orientation Course closed.
Governor Otti who was represented by the Secretary to the state government Prof. Kenneth Kalu charged the Corps members to embrace the national core values taught them during the three weeks orientation course as they step into the hinterlands of the State.
Prof. Kalu while enumerating the core values of the scheme urged the Corp members to see their service year as an opportunity to make positive impacts on the communities where they have been posted.
He assured them of Government ‘s unwavering support and commitment to their welfare and security throughout their service year in the State and implored them to face the challenges ahead with enthusiasm and resilience.
Speaking earlier, the State Coordinator NYSC, Barr. Mrs. Gladys Adama, said that the management and camp officials of NYSC have worked tirelessly for three weeks to ensure the success of the orientation course and therefore encouraged the corps members to carry the skills and values learnt with them as they embark on their service year.
She advised them to be worthy ambassadors of NYSC and be diplomatic in dealing with the people as they move to their respective places of primary assignment
and thanked the present administration for the unwavering support and collaboration.
