Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, currently on a season-long loan with Turkish Süper Lig giants Galatasaray, has dismissed reports suggesting he is in talks with Manchester United over a potential move to the English Premier League.
Recent speculation had linked the Nigerian forward to a Premier League transfer, with both Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly vying for his signature.
However, Nigerian broadcast journalist Buchi Laba, who is close to Osimhen’s camp, has refuted these claims, asserting that the former LOSC Lille star is not engaged in any negotiations with the Red Devils.
No issues with Rumors but to clarify again: Victor Osimhen has no representative or Agent. He parted ways with his old agent and solely represents himself with his Lawyer.
– There’s no discussion or Personal terms agreement with Manchester United.

Napoli’s January Transfer Stance
Reports from local and international outlets indicate that Napoli, Osimhen’s parent club, has greenlit a potential January move. Despite this, Osimhen has reiterated his commitment to remaining with Galatasaray until the conclusion of the current season.
Meanwhile, GiveMeSport reports that Manchester United is exploring a Serie A return for their current striker, Rasmus Højlund. The Danish forward, who joined United from Atalanta last summer, has impressed with seven goals in 20 appearances this season.
He is seen as a more viable option in a potential swap deal for Osimhen compared to other players like Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee, whose recent performances have been underwhelming.
Parting Ways with Roberto Calenda
Buchi Laba also revealed that Osimhen has severed ties with his former agent, Roberto Calenda. The striker is now represented solely by his lawyer, whose identity is expected to be made public soon.
This change follows dissatisfaction stemming from failed transfer negotiations during the 2024 summer window. Disputes between Napoli, Osimhen, and Calenda reportedly led to the player’s decision to seek new representation.

Staying Focused on Galatasaray
Despite ongoing transfer rumors linking him to elite clubs such as Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United, Osimhen has remained dedicated to Galatasaray. The Nigerian forward has been in scintillating form, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in 15 Turkish Süper Lig appearances this season.
