Victor Osimhen has commended fellow Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare for his outstanding performances for Belgian club KRC Genk this season.
Arokodare continued his impressive form with a brace in Genk’s 2-2 draw against Royale Antwerp, taking his tally to 14 goals in 23 matches. This leaves him just one goal shy of his total from last season, where he netted 15 goals in 52 appearances.

Osimhen, who has kept a close eye on Arokodare since he joined Genk as Paul Onuachu’s replacement, lauded the forward’s resurgence.
“To see him making a huge name for himself and for his team is something amazing. Knowing how he started, I know he will surely achieve greatness!” Osimhen shared in response to a social media post by Naija Footballers.
Arokodare was deeply moved by the praise and humorously remarked, “I go frame this one put for house, nothing anybody wan tell me. Thanks, broski.”
The towering striker’s form has sparked interest from clubs across Europe, including Trabzonspor, Fulham, and Galatasaray. However, Genk chairman Peter Croonen has firmly ruled out a January departure.
“The intention is absolutely to keep him. And that will happen,” Croonen said in an interview with DAZN.

Despite his domestic success, Arokodare is yet to receive a call-up to the Super Eagles. If he continues his current form, the 22-year-old is expected to be in contention for national team selection next year.
