Zora Communications Limited is seeking a talented and passionate DWDM Engineer to join our dynamic team.
As a DWDM Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and optimization of our advanced DWDM-based optical communication systems.

Responsibilities:

plan, and implement DWDM-based optical networks, including network topology, wavelength management, and equipment selection, to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
and deploy DWDM equipment, such as optical amplifiers, transceivers, multiplexers, and routers, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
comprehensive testing and performance analysis of DWDM networks, including optical power measurements, dispersion analysis, and spectral characterization, to optimize network efficiency and capacity.
identify and troubleshoot issues related to signal degradation, wavelength interference, fiber impairments, and equipment failures, ensuring seamless network operation and customer satisfaction.
closely with cross-functional teams, including network architects, project managers, and field technicians, to coordinate network deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in optical networking, and contribute to R&D initiatives aimed at enhancing network performance and competitiveness.
technical expertise and support to customers, including responding to inquiries, troubleshooting network issues, and offering consultancy services on network design and optimization strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of [2] years of experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining DWDM-based optical communication systems.
Strong understanding of optical networking fundamentals, including fiber optics, optical components, signal processing, and network architecture.
Hands-on experience with DWDM equipment from reputable vendors, such as Cisco, Ciena, Infinera, or Huawei.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex optical network issues effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications, such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIP, or equivalent, are a plus.
Willingness to occasionally travel for customer site visits, network installations, and project deployments.
