Oppo Find N3 details emerge – Samsung’s reign is over
Oppo has established its presence in the foldable market with the Oppo Find N series. Later last year, the company introduced the Oppo Find N2 and the N2 Flip. The former is a follow-up for the brand’s very first foldable, while the latter is a new clamshell foldable. This new device was the company’s best bet to compete in the 2023’s flagship of foldable smartphones. At the end of February, the Oppo Find N2 Flip was launched for international markets. It will compete with the likes of the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Motorola RAZR 2022. Now, it seems that Oppo is already preparing the ground for the Oppo Find N3 series. We have strong reasons to believe that the Oppo Find N3 will bring this particular variant to the international markets and will pose a threat to the Galaxy Z Fold series.
The next-gen Oppo Find N3 has been a target of a few leaks recently. Today, we have a new set of details that show what we can expect from this intriguing phone. The leak comes as a courtesy of the Digital Chat Station. The leakster provides some details about the Find N3 camera specifications. According to the rumors, the new device will come with three 50 MP Sony IMX890 sensors. Each one should have a distinct purpose, of course.
The recently released Oppo Find X6 Pro has the IMX890 sensors in its ultra-wide and telephoto cameras. When it comes to the main camera, we have the 1-inch Sony IMX989 camera. However, it’s easier for Oppo to equip a standard phone with a costlier and more complex camera setup. The Oppo Find N3 should cut some corners, after all, the design and display are already expensive. So Oppo is going for the IMX890 sensor, which is still a capable snapper. Despite the use of the sensor, we can expect all Oppo technologies to come and improve the setup.

Oppo Find N3 – more details appear
As per the leakster, the Oppo Find N3 will bring MariSilicon X NPU and Hasselblad camera tunings. The front-facing shooter will be a 32 MP OmniVision OV32C sensor. The phone will bring a major battery upgrade, reaching a 4,800 mAh capacity. We don’t know about charging, but the brand will likely bring at least 65W charging, if not more.
A previous leak associates the codename PHN110 with the Oppo Find N3. Under the hood, the Oppo Find N3 will bring a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC. Qualcomm is expected to disclose this chipset this summer. Not many details are available, but we believe that the performance will be similar to the overclocked SD8 Gen 2 found in Galaxy S23 series phones.
Right now, we are curious to see if the folding mechanism will bring more improvements to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series. Samsung’s hinge is somewhat outdated if we consider the competitors that are rising, like the recently-released Honor Magic Vs. In the Chinese market, the competition in this segment is tougher due to the multiple offerings. We are curious to see what changes the Oppo Find N3 will bring over the competition to make it withstand this crowded market.
Will Find N3 be launched globally?
As for the global release, we have strong reasons to believe that the Oppo Find N3 will bring the lineup to international markets. Honor launched the Magic Vs across international markets, and Huawei will do so with the Huawei Mate X3 in April. So, Oppo needs to bring this kind of device to the international audience. Right now, with the limited competition, it seems like a good opportunity to catch some fans and threat the reign of Samsung. Alongside the Oppo Find N3, we also expect another Flip variant.
In 2024, we expect foldable smartphones to become even more popular. After all, other players like Realme and OnePlus are set to join this segment very soon.
