Without doubt, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba is a brilliant lawyer, experienced lawmaker and great political leader in Nigeria having risen to the position of Senate Leader in the 7th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria between 2011-2015. But why is he contesting for Senate again?
WHAT HAS HE DONE WITH HIS PAST MANDATE?
1. He was a very good senator and regular contributor in the Senate chambers on issues that are germane to national development and by extension, his constituents. Some of the over 37 bills sponsored by him include Freedom of Information which has been passed and signed into law, Establishment of National Industrial Court Bill, Abolition of Discrimination Against Women Bill, National Project Monitoring Agency Bill, etc.

He facilitated the employment of 358 constituents into the Federal Service including Dr. Antor Odu Ndep (UNICAL), Paul Osang (HOSF), Godfrey Ntaji (CBN) Etta Obal Egwu (CUSTOMS), Mary Inyang (FRSC) to mention just a few. And if you happen to know any of these persons, by all means confirm from them.

4. He also attracted some other critical projects that are yet to be completed – Ikom Specialist Hospital, Greater Edor Surface Water Supply Scheme, Irruan Irrigation Dam, Itigidi Police Station and Barracks, etc
5. He sponsored several human capacity development and support schemes such as the Farmers Support Scheme where a workshop was organized on modern farming techniques and items including inputs such as seedlings, fertilizers, chemicals etc were given to cocoa, yam and cassava farmers.
6. He facilitated a transport scheme with 5 coaster buses while giving out over 15 minivans and salon cars to transporters and insisted on reduction in transport fares in the constituency;
7. In terms of entrepreneurship development, he sponsored 120 start-up business owners to the CBN Entrepreneurship Development Centre in Calabar. Some of them include Anari Friday Pius, Inyang Urom Philip, Binang Francis Akong, Ekpangson David Ekpang, Vincent Obi Dibang, Owan Juliet Bebuo, Amba Kingsley Agbor, Ayiba Elizabeth, Akanya Agboga Akanya, Arikpo Samuel Okoi etc. These are living persons and can be contacted.
8. He sponsored countless medical outreach programs bringing national and international doctors to carry out diagnosis, treatment and minor surgeries for those with eye problems, hernia, appendicitis, etc.
9. He awarded scholarships to over 540 students of tertiary institutions both in undergraduate and postgraduate categories. Some of the beneficiaries include Imoke D. Imoke, Ebagu Tangban Egbe, Eric James Ndik, Beatrice Ngwede Ebingha, Blessing A. Obongha, Eba Achuk Eba, Bassey Ini Ubi, Stella Ogar Eyam, Ayeni Omini Abam, Emori Enya, Kebe Eyong Ikpi, etc etc.
