Operations Support Specialist at Ship Afrika International

Ship Afrika provides freight forwarding and shipping logistics services for consumers and businesses between the United States of America and many countries in Continental Africa. Our logistics services includes customs clearance, pick-up arrangements, and timely delivery of goods.Position Summary

The Operations Support Specialist will play a vital role in the company’s logistics activities, supporting the management of existing freight operations and expanding Air and Ocean Freight businesses.
This position requires operational coordination, customer relationship management,  identifying new market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Support daily operations, including bookings, regulatory filings, tracking shipments, and resolve logistics issues.
Develop and nurture relationships with clients, carriers, partners and vendors.
Assist in growing the Air and Ocean Freight business by identifying new leads and opportunities.
Oversee the preparation and review of shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyze operational data to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Provide operational reports and updates to the General Manager.
Any other responsibility as may be assigned by the General Manager

Job Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
At least two (2) years of experience in marketing, preferably in logistics or related industries.
Familiarity with Air and Ocean Freight processes and regulations.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace and logistics management systems.
Excellent written/verbal communication and time management skills.
Great interpersonal and team-work skills.
Creativity and attention to detail.
