Oliver Caton Gantt, 82, entered heaven on Oct. 28, 2024.

Caton was born to Pollard R. and Edra M. Gantt in Andalusia on Oct. 21, 1942. Caton was one of five children: late Joseph Gantt, late George Gantt, Mary Ann Carter Gantt, and Kyle Gantt.
Caton married the love of his life, his late wife, Diane Jones on Oct. 24, 1964. The two met in Washington, D.C., working support roles with the F.B.I. Caton became a Special Agent and had a successful 32-year career with the Bureau before retiring in 1996.
Caton has three children all living in Florida. Kimberly George and her husband Darin; Caton Gantt and his wife, Cortney; and Whitney Gantt; along with his five grandchildren, Madison, Gantt, Harrison, Colson, and Caton.
Caton and Diane retired to the mountains of North Carolina. He spent 28 years there before moving to Florida to be with his children and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held in Andalusia on Saturday, Nov. 23, 11 a.m., on the Gantt Farm located at 26643 Cedar Crest Rd. We are looking forward to celebrating his life with his family and friends.
