Oleksandr Usyk has achieved a huge amount in boxing, which is the result of long hours of hard work.
On Saturday night in Saudi Arabia, Usyk and Anthony Joshua will clash in a rematch, which is live on talkSPORT, and earlier today they had their final press conference ahead of the fight.
At the press conference, Usyk’s manager, Egis Klimas took to the microphone and revealed some of the crazy endurance challenges the heavyweight champion has been undertaking in camp, which included time in Dubai.
“When I think about Oleksandr Usyk, I am so proud to represent him,” Klimas said. “I can tell you, I never seen anybody in 45 degrees heat to ride a bicycle for 100km.
“I never seen anybody swimming the day before the press conference in London for 1 km in the pool for five hours.
“I never seen anybody holding his breath underwater for four minutes and 40 seconds, almost passing away, shaking himself.
“When I asked him, ‘what’s wrong with you?’ he said, ‘I know I have a trainer behind me, he’s not going to let me drown, he’s going to pull me out’.”
This is not the first insight we have had into Usyk’s training, with Amir Khan visiting him in Dubai, who posted a video of the current unified heavyweight world champion showing off his balance by standing on an exercise ball while juggling.

Usyk also revealed he has been waking up at 5am and training three times a day ahead of his rematch with Joshua.
As for Usyk’s opponent, Joshua, he has also been hard at it in training, posting a number of workout clips to his social media.
These include one photo where he can be seen wearing a groin guard that says,‘killer mindset’and he posted it alongside the caption, “Warm up, war, warm down.”
Joshua followed up by sharing a video of what looks like an extremely difficult press up drill, which consists of him putting his full bodyweight through his fingers, hands and wrists.
