Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left Manchester United on November 21 2021, after almost three years at the club.
He took charge of 168 games as manager, winning 92 of them – a 55% win rate.
Solksjaer has the fourth-highest win rate of any United manager in history, marginally behind Jose Mourinho and Erik ten Hag.
After signing a three-year contract extension just four months before his departure, United had to pay Solskjaer almost £10m in compensation to sack him.

Prior to his sacking, Solskjaer’s side were 7th in the table, with only one win in their last seven league games.
The nail in the coffin which ended his reign was an embarrassing 4-1 defeat at Vicarage Road against Watford.
Although the circumstances of his exit were not pleasant, the Norweigan still has an amicable relationship with United.
Speaking at a business forum in Oslo, Solskjaer commented on whether he would consider returning to United as a manager.
“I don’t like to talk about other manager’s jobs, but yes. Of course, I would”, he said.

In the week of his exit, Solskjaer expressed his gratitude to United’s staff, players and fans in a farewell interview.
Since leaving, he has not undertaken a new permanent managerial or coaching role.
The only work he has done in the world of football was this summer at EURO 2024.
Solskjaer joined UEFA’s team for ‘technical evaluation’ during the tournament.
At the start of the year, he was offered a job as manager of Sweden’s national team, but no agreement was reached.
With Ten Hag’s future at United at risk, Solskjaer seems ready to pounce at a return to Old Trafford as manager.
