Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left Manchester United in November 2021 and has not been in a management job since.
He has rejected approaches from national teams, such as Sweden, in hope of managing an elite club again.
A few weeks ago, at a business forum in Oslo, Solskjaer was asked if he would consider rejoining United.
“I don’t like to talk about other manager’s jobs, but yes. Of course, I would. I’d say yes every day of the week,” he said.

Since then, Solskjaer has been presented with another exciting managerial opportunity.
Tipsbladet report that the Danish Football Association (DBU) approached the Norwegian about their vacant national team coaching job, but Solskjaer declined any further talks with them.
Solskjær is reportedly in negotiations with an unknown major club about a managerial role, and he therefore did not want to advance in negotiations with the DBU.
When reaching out to his agent Jim Solbakken, Tipsbladet received no comment on the matter.
Other than United’s senior team and reserves, Solskjaer has only managed two other clubs.
He was at Cardiff for one season in 2014, and Molde in two separate stints between 2011 to 2014 and 2015 to 2018.

This role as the Danish national team coach would be a great opportunity for Solskjaer to restart his managerial career.
Denmark are a competitive side, reaching the Round of 16 at last summer’s EUROs.
United stars Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen are regular starters for them, while Kasper Schmeichel and Andreas Christensen are other reputable names in their squad.
However, these strong players were not enough to attract Solskjaer to the role.
Solskjaer’s return to management will make headlines; if his negotiations with this major club are succesful, United fans will be anticipating his comeback.
