A foremost human and environmental rights activist in Cross River State and the Executive Director of Rainforest Resource and Development Centre, a non profit and non-governmental organization based in Cross River State, Odey Oyama has expressed his unalloyed support for Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba’s senatorial aspiration for Cross River Central Senatorial District under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
Speaking during a courtesy visit at Senatorial Campaign Headquarters in Ikom, Mr. Oyama described Senator Ndoma-Egba as a huge asset not just to Cross River State but Nigeria as a whole as a political leader, legal luminary, philanthropist and community builder. He declared his unflinching support for Senator Ndoma-Egba and followed that up with the donation of campaign items including 2 large sized flex banners for billboards, 3000 posters, 2000 handbills and materials to be used in pasting them.
Receiving the items on behalf of Senator Ndoma-Egba and the Campaign Organization, the Director of Media and Communication, Hon. Sunny Udeh thanked Mr. Oyama for his kind words and gesture towards Senator Ndoma-Egba as well the huge show of support by the material donations.
In a related development, a young beneficiary of Senator Ndoma-Egba’s job training program, Samuel Njang Agbor from Ikom has donated 250 branded T-Shirts and 250 face caps to the Ndoma-Egba campaign as a show of gratitude and support for what the Senator has done to make him a qualified construction technician. Also, a youth from Iyamoyong in Obubra Local Government Area has demonstrated his support for Senator Ndoma-Egba with the donation of 3 flex banners, 100 posters and handbills amongst other campaign items while Mr. O. U. Obono from Yakurr LGA donated 40 branded T-shirts and 40 face caps.
Senator Ndoma-Egba while recovering the items was overwhelmed by the show of love and support by these young persons who have obviously denied themselves some conveniences to identify with him and promised not to let them and the people of Central Cross River down when, by the grace of God, he returns to the Senate.
