Oden Ewa Foundation Honours Late Prof Ibiang Oden Ewa with Full Scholarships from Primary to Tertiary Education

In a landmark gesture of educational empowerment and legacy preservation, the Oden Ewa Foundation, led by the visionary Hon. Oden Ewa, has awarded full scholarships; covering primary to tertiary education to the best graduating pupils of Holy Cross Primary School. The award, presented during the school’s graduation ceremony on July 23, 2025, is in honour of the late Prof. Ibiang Oden Ewa, an illustrious academic and tireless advocate for education as a tool for societal transformation.

The ceremony was a vibrant celebration of excellence and promise, attended by proud parents, educators, clergy, community leaders, and invited guests. The event underscored the Foundation’s unflinching commitment to building human capital through inclusive access to quality education.

Speaking on behalf of Hon. Oden Ewa, the Director of Administration, Dr. Usani Joseph, declared:

“The future we desire lies in the hands of our children. A society that refuses to invest in the education of its youth is writing its obituary. The Oden Ewa Foundation has made education a core priority because it unlocks potential, lifts families, and transforms entire communities.”

Dr. Usani emphasized that the scholarship is more than financial support—it is a living legacy that reflects Prof. Ewa’s core belief that “the best gift to any child is education.”

This initiative also aligns with the People-First vision of His Excellency, Sen. (Apostle) Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State, who continues to champion policies that place human development at the centre of governance.
