Rivers PDP Chairman, Bro. Obuah rejoices with Fmr. Gov. Odili on his 69th Birthday

As the former Rivers State Governor, Sir Dr. Peter Odili, CON, GSSRS marks his 69th birthday on August 15, 2017, the leadership and entire members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State have joined other well-meaning people across Nigeria and outside to celebrate an accomplished leader whose landmark achievements and contributions to the development of the State remain a reference point in the history of the State.
While congratulating a man whose exemplary leadership qualities as a Governor earned him ‘The Golden Governor of Nigeria’, the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bro Felix Obuah noted that Sir, Dr. Peter Odili has dedicated all his life in serving humanity and God as a devout Christian; a Papal Knight of the order of St. Gregory the Great (KSGG), as well as knight of St. John (KSJ), adding that as Governor, Sir, Dr. Odili distinguished himself as a patriotic Nigerian, who feels the pulse of his people and has remained so till date, as an esteemed Elder Statesman.
“We commend your towering attributes, which have undoubtedly earned you several Awards within and outside the shores of Nigeria which include; Gold Trophy for Best Performing Governor and Good Governance in Nigeria; Zik Leadership Award for Good Governance; Ambassador for Peace Award by the Inter Religions and International Federalism for World Peace; and Euro Marketing Research Centre (EMRC) in Brussels,the International Award in recognition for your efforts at uplifting the standards of living of Rivers people, Niger Deltans and Nigerians in general, among others”, Obuah said.
Describing him as a pillar, a dependable leader, and father of the party, Bro Obuah thanked God for the life and services of Dr. Odili, stating that the PDP in the State and at the centre has benefited immensely from his fatherly advice, and prayed that God continue to give him sound wisdom and keep him for Rivers people to continue to tap from his wealth of experience and service to humanity, which he joyfully offers.
“Once again, the PDP congratulates you Sir, and wish you many more happy and blessed birthdays, long life, good health, and God’s grace for you to continue in touching people’s lives positively”, Obuah said.
