Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state, has enjoined all the newly promoted Police officers across the country to be alive to their duties, impact positively on others and put in more efforts in ensuring security.
Obiano made the call, on Tuesday, at the decoration ceremony, Mr Ben Eke, his ADC.
Before his promotion as Superintendent of Police (SP) by the Police Sevice Commission, Mr. Eke was Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
According to the Governor, promotion comes through hard work and God’s grace encouraging other officers to put in their best, noting that Mr. Eke having been with him since 2014 and has done very well.
The Governor further added that it is another milestone in the career of SP Eke, and that his promotion is testament that hard work and dedication to duty pays.
In his part, the Anambra State Police Commissioner, CP Echeng Echeng said that it is another step in the future of the leadership of the Nigeria Police, expressing joy that Eke was elevated at a time they have a clear vision from the Inspector General.
Responding, SP Eke thanked the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission for finding him worthy of the promotion.
