May 19, 2024 Brooklyn, New York – Two men were killed and a third male hospitalized as police investigate two separate deadly shootings that occurred in Brooklyn.
According to Police Officials, officers responded to a shooting at around 4:15am, and located a 60-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the torso.
The victim was transported to Brookdale hospital and pronounced deceased.
No arrests at this time. Detectives are working to determine a motive for the shooting reported near Georgia Ave & Wortman Ave in East New York neighborhood in Brooklyn.
Only hours before, two men were shot in a separate incident that left a man dead and another wounded in the Brownsville, Neighborhood in Brooklyn.
Just after 10:30pm, police found a pair of wounded males near 101 Osborne Street after calls came in to 911 for two people shot.
When officers arrived on scene they located a 30-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and a 28-year-old male who was shot in the hand.
Both injured males were rushed to Brookdale Hospital where shortly after the 30-year-old male was pronounced dead from injuries sustained during the shooting. The 28-year-old man was last listed in stable condition, cops said.
Police are searching for a person of interest who was seen leaving the scene on foot following the shooting.
