NYPD Finds 28-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in Head Near Bronx Home; Suspect at LargeFREEDOMNEWS.TV

July 23, 2024 BRONX, New York – A man was shot in the head and gravely wounded early Tuesday morning near his Bronx home, cops said.

According to police officials, just before 3 a.m., Idriss Cherif El Farissy, 28, was shot and robbed of his belongings just down the street from his home near E 176th St & Mohegan Avenue in the Crotona section of The Bronx.

El Farissy was shot in front of a residence and next to a running car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The moments leading up to the shooting are not clear. Detectives continue their investigation and are searching for clues as the gunman remains at large.

No arrests at this time. The gunman is described as a male wearing a dark colored hoodie who reportedly fled on a bike on E 176th St toward Southern Blvd, authorities said.
