Street Fighter 6’s competitive meta game has changed up quite a bit from where it was at launch six months ago with its players now looking ahead to the championship early next year.
Former Capcom Cup champion NuckleDu just released his updated tier list for SF6 that’s quite a bit different than his first one.
If you look back at Du’s previous rankings from before Evo 2023, he actually had his boy Guile up at the top, but now he says he knows much more about how the game plays out in practice now with a better understanding about how all the mechanics come together.
Just like Punk’s new tiers (and probably most other players’ rankings), Du has JP as number one in SF6 right now citing his difficulty being whiff punished, zoning that bests even Guile, a “mindless” level 2 Super, and much more.
He does go on to say afterwards, however, that he believes every character is tournament viable even if some like A.K.I. and E. Honda need to fight harder.
Compared to his last tier list, Du knocked down Guile, Juri and Cammy from S rank while moving up Chun-Li and Dee Jay in their spots.
He’s also interestingly bumped Lily up from the bottom to B tier around Kimberly and Ryu, and then there’s five fighters in C but none in D.
You can check out NuckleDu’s full Street Fighter 6 tier list below, and we recommend checking out his video and showing some support for his YouTube channel where he breaks down all of his picks and current thoughts on the game too.
