Niger Tornadoes Technical Adviser, Majin Mohammed, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to overcome Plateau United in their upcoming North Central derby match on Sunday.

The Ikon Allah Boys are back at the ABS Kaduna for their home matches after being cleared by the league organisers.

Majin Mohammed acknowledged the challenges posed by Plateau United but emphasized his team’s readiness to face the test.

He said: “We’re aware of the difficulties, but we’re prepared. We know Plateau United will come with the mentality of getting a result, especially after we picked three points in Jos during the first round. However, we’re ready for them.

“Anywhere we go to play our matches, we believe we’ll get our results. We’re not afraid to play anywhere, and we feel at home wherever we are.”

The Niger Tornadoes gaffer cautioned his players to be wary of the visiting team.

He said: “Plateau United may be struggling on the log, but that doesn’t mean they’re not a good team. In fact, teams at the bottom can be harder to play, so we’ll approach the game with the same intensity as if we were playing the champions.”

Majin Mohammed also assured the fans that the team would get a positive result.

He said: “We’ll miss our home support psychologically, but we’ve shown we can pick points away from home despite intimidating crowds. I believe the Kaduna fans will give us maximum support as always.”

Niger Tornadoes are currently in the ninth position on the log with 30 points from 22 games.
