Guilty Gear Strive has brought more people to the series than ever before for Arc System Works, and it appears they’re about to open the doors to a new set of players soon.
A Nintendo Switch version of the latest Guilty Gear has apparently leaked in an unusual manner.
Those passing by one of entrances for the Arch Building in Seattle, Washington are reportedly seeing a banner advertising the game for PAX West 2024.
As shared by Reddit user LuxerWap, the banner clearly shows the “Nintendo Switch Edition” of Guilty Gear Strive along with text to “Pre-order now!” next to the console logo.
There is also a QR code as well that does indeed work to take you to the Arc System Works of America website, but there’s no new information there currently.
Having a physical banner leak a game in 2024 is a bit of an oddity considering they usually happen through early / inadvertent social media posts and data mining most of the time.
Since PAX West is scheduled to run from August 30 through September 2, an official announcement is imminent and could happen any time.

There are of course questions floating around now as to what Strive on the Switch will actually be like considering the weaker hardware than what it’s available on now.
That especially applies to whether GGST will have rollback netcode since DNF Duel’s Switch port only had delay-based netcode just last year — nor did they update Dragon Ball FighterZ with it on Nintendo either.
At the very least, ArcSys will presumably not include cross-platform play, which was added to Strive after launch to bring PlayStation, Xbox and PC players together.
And then there’s the wonder of what the graphics and frame rate are going to look like since we recently saw that be an issue for Mortal Kombat 1 on Switch too.
Since launching in 2021, Guilty Gear Strive has reached over 3 million players worldwide, while no other entry in the series has ever crossed the 1 million mark.
Season 4 content is currently in development with Dizzy and Venom returning along with Unika from the Guilty Gear Strive Dual Riders anime and Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
The Switch port of Guilty Gear could be available to play at PAX though we’ll have to wait for official confirmation on that front.
We do already have confirmation, however, that Terry Bogard will have a playable demo at PAX West offering North Americans their first chance to try out the new Street Fighter 6 DLC character.
