Nine rounds of new gameplay footage shows Heihachi's moves, alternate costumes, and more in Tekken 8

Tekken 8 fans widely woke up to the brand new Heihachi gameplay trailer Tuesday as the elder Mishima is en route back to another King of Iron Fist tournament.

We’re still reeling from the excitement of the trailer, but GameSpot has also posted a four minute video featuring Heihachi gameplay. Continue on to see the footage.

The video includes nine rounds of Tekken 8 action against the likes of Kazuya, Devil Jin, Bryan, and Shaheen. We don’t get to see all of Heichachi’s arsenal (given that Tekken move lists are usually about 2 miles long) but we do see plenty of what the familiar fighter has to offer.

In addition to hard hits and overpowering maneuvers, Heihachi shows off a few alternate costumes. The first round sees him in his standard garb, but in the second he changes to a more colorful getup with a shiny, golden dragon shoulder piece.

Later on Mr. Mishima changes back into his standard attire, but has an updated, black hairstyle as well as different facial hair features. This may just be a result of playing with customization features, as we’re sure the final “Freddy Krueger bread head” look is.

Give the footage a watch and see what you can take away from these nine rounds of Heihachi gameplay. For those who have used the character in the past, does he look more familiar or new this time around?
