The Nigerian U20 team has lose the chance to play the AFCON U20 tournament in Zambia amidst complains over unpaid salaries and ill-treatment after match was moved from Calabar to Lagos.
The Eaglets Needed a win or draw to qualify for the competition but failed to do so after playing 3-4 in Telsa Balogun Stadium, Lagos. The lost means they were match 5-5 with their Sudanese opponent after playing 2-1 in Khartoum. The Sudanese side went through on the away goals rules since they scored more goals in Nigeria than the Eaglets in Sudan.
It’s a sad news for the young lads who will stay without a major tournament for a while. This may in turn freeze their nerves as their future now at the edge of the fence.
