    Johnson came in second place out of 304 people who were competing. Johnson was the first runner-up in the 2007 pageant. In November 2009, she won the Miss California USA 2010 title. She went on to compete in the Miss USA 2010 contest in Las Vegas, where she came in ninth.

    When basketball star Kobe Bryant died suddenly last January, Nicole immediately thought about Michael’s mental health. Michael has been open about his depression for a long time, and he was going through a hard time. “When Vanessa Bryant lost Kobe, all I could do was look at Michael and say, “Can we please help you? Because I don’t know what I’ll do if I lose you,’” Nicole told TODAY Parents in a recent interview. She went on to say, “Michael is the best father and partner I could have ever asked for.”
