  • JJ Gabriel father speaks out on transfer rumours

Manchester United youngster JJ Gabriel is generating an immense amount of hype as the 14-year-old has officially made his debut for the Under-18s side.

The young striker came on in the 65th minute, replacing Jim Thwaites, as the academy side took on Leeds United.

Gabriel proceeded to score a brace as the United Under-18s won 13-1, later commenting “U18 debut at U14, 2 goals on debut” on his social media.

Already clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are after the youngster affectionately nicknamed “Kid Messi” as the pair have similar styles of play on the pitch.

This was shown with Gabriel’s second goal of the game as he brought down a lofted ball on the edge of the box, delicately knocking it beyond the defender to be one-on-one with the keeper, firing it beyond the keeper’s reach.

With the youngster displaying a generational talent already, it’s no surprise that the top clubs are all gunning for him.

It’s also worth noting that JJ Gabriel holds an Irish passport with his father, Joe O’Cearuill, being a former Irish centre-back, meaning that European sides could sign him earlier than if he only held an English one.

However, his father has now weighed in on the situation as he’s been rumoured to be pushing for a move away from United for his son.

Taking to X, O’Cearuill commented: “The amount of lies people post is crazy.”

He continued: “Please stop spreading false information about me and JJ. Someone writes some lies, and everyone jumps on the bandwagon.”

  • Multiple EFL clubs want to take Manchester United wonderkid on loan

INEOS are looking to reset Manchester United’s long-term identity by reducing spending on high-profile players.

The club’s new vision revolves around smarter recruitment and giving more chances to homegrown prospects.

With transfer mistakes from previous years still being felt, United have begun prioritising youth in a bid to reduce cost and increase sustainability.

This has been evident with the rising involvement of academy players in senior training and matchday squads under Ruben Amorim.

The new direction also aligns with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s belief in building a hungrier, more dynamic squad profile.

Whether through targeted signings or internal academy promotions, the focus is now firmly on players under 21.

It’s a shift already being felt at Carrington.

One midfielder in particular has started to generate significant buzz.

Jack Moorhouse was central to United’s 3-3 draw against Nottingham Forest earlier this week.

The teenager stood out despite goals from Chido Obi and Bendito Mantato grabbing early headlines.

His power, composure and driving runs from midfield set him apart from his peers and have made him impossible to ignore.

Moorhouse has caught the eye of Ruben Amorim in recent months.

Especially during a standout game against Southampton back in December.

He has since been included in the senior squad for games against both Tottenham and Arsenal.

Although he’s yet to make his full debut.

As revealed by CentreDevils, United are planning to hand Moorhouse his first-team debut before the end of the season.

He is also set to be involved in the post-season tour of Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.

As well as the pre-season trip to the United States.

That exposure is seen as vital to helping him break into Amorim’s plans for next season.

EFL clubs set to chase signature of Jack Moorhouse

However, there is also strong interest in Moorhouse from EFL clubs who are keen to develop him further.

Daily Mail’s report states that multiple League One and Two sides are eager to take him on loan for 2025/26.

United are still deciding whether a loan or first-team integration is the better path.

Although, it vastly depends on Amorim’s long-term squad plans.

Either way, it’s clear that Moorhouse is now on the brink of becoming a key name in the club’s youth revolution.

  • Argentina winger scouted by Manchester United

INEOS are making bold moves to reshape Manchester United’s future both on and off the pitch.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and United have now placed major emphasis on building a younger, more dynamic squad.

Ratcliffe recently even voiced his hope for the future, naming the younger players at United who are beginning to settle.

Cost-cutting is central to the strategy, with academy promotions and smart youth recruitment favoured over expensive, big-name deals.

This has already been reflected in United’s push to sign players under 21 and increase scouting efforts across South America.

Paraguayan Under-20s defender Diego Leon, being an example.

Sekou Kone being another example, of the focus on youth recruitment.

And now, United scouts are closely monitoring another South American talent who could be the next to arrive in Manchester.

Ian Subiabre new wonderkid on Manchester United radar

The latest player being tracked is Ian Subiabre, an 18-year-old winger currently playing for River Plate in Argentina.

Subiabre has made 11 senior appearances and is gaining a strong reputation in his home country as a technically gifted wide player.

According to Daily Mail’s report, United are joined by Arsenal in keeping tabs on the teenager’s progress.

Initial interest in the attacker was reported on CentreDevils earlier last week.

His current contract with River Plate runs until June 2026, meaning any approach would need to be carefully timed.

At this stage, interest remains early and informal, with United still gathering reports before making a final decision.

If Subiabre continues his development, he could follow in the footsteps of Garnacho by making the jump from Argentina to Old Trafford.

With INEOS fully committed to identifying and investing in the stars of tomorrow, he’s the kind of profile the club are increasingly prioritising.

  • Manchester United fans assaulted inside Old Trafford

Whilst this weekend’s Manchester Derby was rather uneventful on the pitch at Old Trafford, the behaviour of and towards the fans continues to grab attention.

Firstly United fans have been condemned by the FA due to chants being routinely sung berating Phil Foden’s mum.

Then reports have emerged that a United fan has been arrested and charged for slapping Jack Grealish as he headed to the tunnel at the end of the game.

Now, a fan as been on the receiving end of an assault linked with The 1958’s arranged sit-in protest.

Manchester United fan forcibly removed from Old Trafford

The Manchester United supporters group arranged for a fan sit-in following the Derby which encouraged the supporters to remain in their seats after full time.

However, The Daily Mail has reported that as one fan remained in the stands, video footage has emerged of the stewards forcibly removing the fan from the stands.

The supporter videoing the encounter comments that he’s recording to make sure that “no one oversteps the mark” with another fan stepping in to calm the building tensions.

The protesting fan is then visibly pushed by one steward before being restrained by several attendants, with one appearing to have his arm around the fan’s neck.

United have commented that they’re aware of the footage but are unable to comment further as they investigate the situation.

  • Brazil Football Federation introduce new rule because of former Manchester United star

Brazilian football is renowned for developing skilful players with the likes of Neymar and Antony routinely bringing flair to the game.

However, an ex-Manchester United star has now led to a change in the footballing rules in Brazil due to a piece of skill which sent the game into a massive brawl.

As Corinthians took on Palmeiras in the Campeonato Paulista final, former Red Devil Memphis Depay derailed the game.

With Corinthians having won the first leg, the second leg in a goalless draw and Depay in an attacking position, the winger feigned  crossing the ball into the box, before standing on the ball with both feet.

The move enraged the Palmeiras’ players, sparking a mass brawl between the clubs as the game descended into chaos.

In the lengthy VAR review of the brawl, Palmeiras substitute goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba and Corinthians midfielder Jose Martinez were dismissed, with 18 minutes of extra time being added to the match by officials.

Memphis Depay leads to Brazil Football Federation rule change

Now, BBC has reported that the Brazil Football Federation has changed the rules, with this piece of “skill” to be responded to with a yellow card and an indirect free-kick to the opposing team.

The Brazil FF called the move a “provocation to a rival and disrespects the game”.

In response, Memphis Depay commented: “I really went to Brazil to also experience Jogo Bonito [the beautiful game] first hand but now the CBF announced yesterday that no player can stand on the ball or the player will receive a yellow card.”

He continued: “Not that it is such an important factor in football but I don’t see the issue here. There is so much talent over here. The joy and passion in the way of expressing ourselves on the field shouldn’t be limited.

“I really wonder what the board of the CBF looks like. Who’s deciding the future of this beautiful football country?

“Let’s focus on what rules can improve the sport and focus on the business side of football – what benefits the clubs the fans and players instead of these silly announcements.”

These thoughts were shared by former Barcelona and PSG star Neymar, saying: “football is getting more and more boring”.

  • Manchester United set Alejandro Garnacho transfer fee

Manchester United are gearing up for a decisive Europa League quarter-final clash with Lyon this Thursday night, as Ruben Amorim looks to keep his debut season alive with silverware.

With the Premier League resuming on Sunday, United face a tricky trip to Newcastle, where questions around squad rotation and fitness will again be front and centre.

Behind the scenes, though, the biggest drama continues to unfold off the pitch, as sweeping summer changes are being planned at Old Trafford.

As part of the rebuild, United remain under pressure to balance their books to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) before June’s deadline.

And now, a bombshell update suggests one of the club’s brightest young stars could be sacrificed.

CalcioNapoli24 have relayed Italian outlet’s Il Mattino’s report that the Serie A giants are planning a move worth just €45 million and United are willing to accept it – a fee significantly less than the figure United demanded in January.

Back then, a proposed move fell apart due to differences in valuation, despite Alejandro Garnacho already agreeing to join as a long-term replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

But with Antonio Conte now at the helm in Naples, the club sees Garnacho as a “little jewel” and are confident of finally landing their man.

The Argentine winger has come under criticism this season for his inconsistent displays and attitude, and was dropped by Amorim for key matches.

Pundits like Gary Neville and Paul Parker haven’t held back either, with the latter claiming Alejandro Garnacho has “let his family down” with his performances this term.

Despite his dip in form, Garnacho is still regarded as one of the world’s most promising young wide players.

With homegrown status on his side, any sale would be recorded as pure profit in this year’s financials – a key factor in the club’s willingness to sell.

Transfermarkt values the 20-year-old at €50m, but a deal could be done for less, with Napoli confident of landing him early in the window.

United are expected to listen to offers, even for players they don’t actively want to lose – as confirmed by David Ornstein in a recent Q&A.

Whether Alejandro Garnacho will remain a Red Devil beyond the summer now looks increasingly uncertain.

  • Newcastle United hit with injury crisis ahead of Manchester United clash

Manchester United head to St James’ Park on Sunday with momentum and revenge on their minds.

Ruben Amorim’s men are preparing for a defining stretch of the season as they fight for European silverware.

The Red Devils drew against City rivals over the weekend and will be hoping to get the win over Lyon on Thursday night in the Europa League as the dressing rooms confidence is steadily growing under their new manager.

Despite a recent upturn in form for the hosts, history still favours United when it matters most.

And ahead of this weekend’s showdown, Newcastle United have suffered a fresh wave of injuries that could tilt the balance in favour of the visitors.

The Magpies are already without multiple key players, and manager Eddie Howe has confirmed the latest addition to the growing list of absentees is midfielder Joe Willock, who has been ruled out due to concussion.

Willock picked up a head injury in the closing minutes of their clash against Brentford and subsequently missed the win over Leicester City.

CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CENTRE DEVILS WHATSAPP GROUP CHAT NOW!

Premier League concussion protocols state that players must rest for at least 12 days unless exceptional criteria are met, which in Willock’s case, they were not.

He now joins a sidelined group that includes Sven Botman (knee), Jamaal Lascelles (knee), and Lewis Hall (foot), all of whom are unavailable for the weekend.

There is also concern over Anthony Gordon, who remains a doubt with a groin issue and will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Newcastle United are hopeful that striker Alexander Isak, who was subbed off against Leicester amid fitness concerns, will be fully fit to feature on Sunday.

Eddie Howe stated, “I think he’s 100% fit, I wouldn’t have taken any risk with him tonight if he wasn’t.”

The Tyneside club has won four of their last five encounters with United, a stark contrast to their record between 2001 and 2023 when they claimed just four wins in 40 attempts.

But with injuries mounting, this could be Manchester United’s best chance yet to turn the tide at St James’ Park.

  • Mason Greenwood set to help Manchester United rebuild

Manchester United remain under pressure to deliver a strong transfer window following another underwhelming Premier League season.

Ruben Amorim’s arrival has brought renewed hope, but with no guarantee of Champions League football next season, the margin for financial missteps has narrowed dramatically.

Ineos are expected to lead a ruthless squad overhaul, and every penny will count as the club navigates Financial Fair Play and Profit & Sustainability Regulations.

United are also still alive in the Europa League, their only realistic path to silverware this season, but off the field, small wins are beginning to take shape.

And one of those has come in the form of Mason Greenwood.

The former United forward, who was sold to Marseille last summer for £25 million, is expected to leave the French club at the end of the season—less than a year after arriving.

Mason Greenwood has been a standout performer in Ligue 1, with 16 goals and 4 assists in just 28 appearances, but recent tension between him and manager Roberto De Zerbi has cast doubt over his long-term future at the club.

CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CENTRE DEVILS WHATSAPP GROUP CHAT NOW!

French outlet Le10Sport reports that Greenwood now believes he has outgrown Marseille and is preparing for an exit.

His growing reputation as a ‘soloist’ on the pitch and a strained relationship with the manager may have sped up his decision to move on.

Former LOSC midfielder Ludovic Obraniak said, “He is preparing his departure by doing things, you see: 17 goals, 3 assists.

    “He is a soloist.

“And I see him taking Marseille more as an opportunity to move on, rather than a desire to commit for the long term.”

Crucially for United, the club inserted a sell-on clause—believed to be around 40–50% of any profit made on Greenwood’s sale.

If Marseille sell Greenwood for around £50 million, that would see United bank a tidy profit of £12.5 million, with every pound counting towards Ineos’ summer rebuild.

Given Greenwood’s zero book value on United’s books, it would represent pure profit—something rare for a club trying to balance the books while chasing on-pitch success.

  • PSG in contact to sign Marcus Rashford

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford has been the subject of long-standing interest from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), with the French giants’ admiration for the English forward no secret.

Despite Marcus Rashford currently wearing the claret and blue of Aston Villa, where he’s been impressing, it’s intriguing to think how close he came to joining PSG in the summer of 2022.

At that time, PSG had an ambitious plan to replace Neymar with the Manchester United man, with meetings between Rashford’s representatives and PSG’s hierarchy, including sporting director Leonardo, intensifying.

The talks were reportedly moving forward, and Rashford had even given the go-ahead for a move.

However, the situation changed dramatically in May 2022 when Leonardo was replaced by Luis Campos as PSG’s sporting director.

It was at this juncture that negotiations started to stall, with former PSG sporting director Antero Henrique and agent Pini Zahavi influencing the direction of talks, ultimately complicating matters.

According to L’Equipe, had Leonardo remained in his position, Marcus Rashford would likely have been a PSG player by now.

CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CENTRE DEVILS WHATSAPP GROUP CHAT NOW!

With Campos stepping in and complications arising from Zahavi’s involvement, the move fell through.

The transfer saga has continued to evolve, as reports indicate that Rashford’s entourage has recently reconnected with PSG’s current management.

Though Rashford opted to stay in England during the January transfer window amid interest from Olympique de Marseille, the situation may shift again this summer.

Rashford’s loan move from Manchester United to Aston Villa reportedly includes a £40 million buy option, and it remains uncertain whether Villa will exercise that option.

Meanwhile, PSG continues to pursue a forward, which could see their interest in Rashford rekindled.

With Rashford’s future hanging in the balance, PSG may once again look to bring him to the French capital in the coming transfer window.

This summer could be the turning point for Marcus Rashford, and Manchester United may find themselves involved in yet another pivotal transfer decision, as the future of their star forward remains uncertain.

  • Andre Onana makes huge claim ahead of Olympique Lyonnais clash

Manchester United’s Europa League hopes hang in the balance as they prepare for a season-defining trip to France.

Ruben Amorim’s side ground out a 0-0 draw against Manchester City on Sunday, halting their rivals but failing to ignite confidence ahead of Thursday’s clash.

With a Premier League campaign marred by inconsistency, United’s European run has become their only route back to continental competition next season.

The Red Devils have won just two of their last seven games across all competitions, but belief remains strong inside the camp.

Meanwhile, Lyon are flying in Ligue 1, having won four of their last five matches to close in on a Champions League spot.

Both Manchester United and Lyon have talked a big game ahead of their Europa League quarter-final showdown, setting the stage for a fiery encounter.

Goalkeeper Andre Onana didn’t hold back in the build-up to the first leg, boldly claiming, “I think we are better than them, we just have to go there and show who we are.

CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CENTRE DEVILS WHATSAPP GROUP CHAT NOW!

“If we go there with a winning mentality and we are focused, stay compact and together and we follow the game plan, we will be winning the game.”

Andre Onana, who made five saves against Manchester City, also emphasised United’s internal focus over their opponent’s form: “We know some of them, but I don’t think we have to focus on them.

“It’s more about us, what we’re going to do.

“Of course, it’s not going to be easy, but I think we are way better than them.”

Lyon, however, are not short on confidence either.

Fresh from a 2-1 comeback win over Lille, Rayan Cherki fired a warning shot of his own: “We are ready to wage war against them.”

The 21-year-old starlet has notched eight Europa League assists this season, matching the highest in a single campaign since 2011-12, and also has nine goals and 18 assists in all competitions.

The French side have never beaten Manchester United in European competition, but history will count for little when the two clubs face off in a clash that could shape both seasons.

With European survival on the line for Amorim, the Red Devils must now back up their fighting words with a statement performance.
