  • Fabrizio Romano provides update on Eberechi Eze Manchester United transfer

Manchester United are in the process of planning their summer transfers in a move to shake up the squad and remodel the attack for next season, with Eberechi Eze making the shortlist.

He’s one of seven players listed by United’s recruitment team to improve their attack to bounce back from this season’s disastrous Premier League campaign.

Eze is a proven Premier League attacker, with 29 goals and 23 assists in 141 league matches across the last five seasons for Crystal Palace.

Across his time at Selhurst Park, after moving from QPR for £15 million in 2020, Eze has shown off his versatility, playing on both wings and in attacking midfield, even getting called up to the England squad.

The 26-year-old joined Gareth Southgate’s men for Euro 2024, making three appearances against Denmark, Slovakia and Switzerland.

Now, United are hoping to land Eze’s signing this summer to bring him to Old Trafford, with Fabrizio Romano giving an update on his movement.

Hope for Manchester United to sign Eberechi Eze

Writing for GiveMeSport, Romano confirmed that there is a potential for Eze to move in the summer, although no negotiations have begun.

The reporter wrote: “Yes it’s a possibility. But nothing has been decided yet, in terms of clubs or negotiations. The situation will be one to assess in the summer.”

Whilst this confirms that United haven’t made any moves for the attacking midfielder as of yet, it also gives The Red Devils hope that no other side have beaten them to the punch just yet.

  • Matheus Cunha set to reach agreement with Manchester United

Manchester United are desperate to sign a new striker this summer to replace Rasmus Hojlund after the Dane fails to provide consistency in front of goal.

It’s understood that United are looking to sell Hojlund in the summer to generate funds for his replacement, with The Red Devils scouting some of Europe’s top talent to head up their attack.

United’s search has led them to renewing their interest in Wolves’ striker Matheus Cunha after monitoring him last summer.

Ruben Amorim has shown his appreciation of the Brazilian attacker over recent days, when discussing the Wolves manager Vitor Pereira and his side ahead of United’s 1-0 loss at Old Trafford.

Speaking ahead of the game, Amorim commented: “I think he [Vitor Pereira] is doing an amazing job. He has real quality players – [Matheus] Cunha and all these guys, they have real quality.”

Manchester United close to sealing Matheus Cunha transfer

Now, The Daily Mail has revealed that The Red Devils are getting close to an agreement to see Cunha move to Old Trafford.

United are hopeful that the terms of his move can be finalised by next month, with the club needing to trigger his £62.5 million release clause.

The Red Devils could generate these funds through the sale of their loan stars alone, with Marcus Rashford’s £40 million option to buy for Aston Villa and Chelsea’s £25 million obligation to buy Jadon Sancho, and that’s without considering Real Betis’ desire to retain Antony.

However, with other stars like Altay Bayindir, Rasmus Hojlund, Casemiro and Andre Onana also on the chopping block to be sold, United should be able to generate the funds to bring Cunha to Old Trafford.

  • Real Madrid target release clause to be triggered by Manchester United

Manchester United are looking to beat Real Madrid to yet another young generational talent after the hijacking of Leny Yoro from LOCS Lille last summer.

Yoro looked set for a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, however last minute, United swept in and lured the 18-year-old centre-back to Old Trafford where he’s established himself as a routine starter under Ruben Amorim.

Now, United are looking to swoop for another of Marid’s target’s as their negotiations have fallen through.

The pair of European giants, as well as many others, have been closely watching River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono with the aim of bringing him to Europe in the summer.

However, a seemingly set move to the Spanish capital fell through, leaving the door open for Manchester United.

Manchester United look to trigger release clause for Franco Mastantuono

Tribal Football has now revealed that The Red Devils are looking to trigger the 17-year-old’s £38 million release clause to bring him to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Mastantuono has already registered 53 appearances across two seasons for River Plate, with six goals and five assists playing in attacking midfield and on the right wing.

His versatility is an incredible asset which Ruben Amorim is keen to secure at Old Trafford for the future of Manchester United, with other youngsters like Chris Rigg and Jobe Bellingham also being scouted for the future of the club.

If United can seal a move for the Argentine, it’ll be yet another huge statement signing for the club to go along with Yoro, Patrick Dorgu, Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi, lining up United’s path back to their winning ways.

  • Manchester United hold discussions for SEVEN forwards

Manchester United are ramping up their search of attackers ahead of the summer transfer window to bring more firepower to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have struggled in front of goal with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee being ineffective and inconsistent in front of goal.

As such, Ruben Amorim has been reliant on Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho as his top goal scorers to hit the back of the net.

That said, Amorim is confident that Zirkzee can develop under him and fit into his playstyle, whilst Hojlund appears to be set for the chop at the end of the season.

In his place, and as well as supporting the striker, United have held internal discussions about six key targets which can completely remodel Amorim’s attack.

Seven player shortlist for Manchester United

The Daily Mail has reported that the United recruitment team have discussed Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, Laim Delap of Ipswich Town, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Red Bull Leipzig’s Xavi Simons and Benjamin Sesko, Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace and Antoine Semenyo at Bournemouth.

It’s understood that Liam Delap and Matheus Cunha are at the top of their shortlist, with The Red Devils confident of agreeing terms with Cunha in the coming weeks.

However, Delap is less sure of a move to Old Trafford given the uncertainty of European football next season.

This doesn’t seem to be a concern though for Victor Osimhen who has also been reported as agreeing terms for a move in the summer to join United.

Ultimately United need to generate funds before any of these signings can be made though, with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony, Casemiro and potentially Andre Onana and Alejandro Garnacho all set to depart.

If The Red Devils can get significant fees agreed for each of their desired offloads, Amorim could be set with a hefty fund to remodel his squad and bounce back next season.

  • Fabrizio Romano reveals Casemiro’s future

Manchester United’s turbulent campaign continues to force major questions over their senior stars, with underwhelming results casting shadows over some of the club’s most experienced names.

Ruben Amorim is preparing for his first summer transfer window at the helm, and while he remains tight-lipped about specific exits, it’s clear changes are coming.

The club’s failure to secure consistent results in both domestic and European competitions has left INEOS scrambling to reshape the squad.

That reshaping is expected to include prioritising youth, trimming the wage bill, and offloading players with diminishing returns on investment.

Among those under heavy scrutiny is one of United’s most decorated figures—an elite midfielder whose salary no longer matches his on-pitch influence.

Casemiro is now being lined up for a possible summer departure, according to trusted transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.

The Brazilian international, who arrived from Real Madrid to huge fanfare and on a hefty wage packet of around £350,000 per week, has failed to recapture the form that once made him a Champions League regular.

CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CENTRE DEVILS WHATSAPP GROUP CHAT NOW!

In his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter, Romano confirmed that Casemiro could still leave if the right offer comes in, stating: “Yes, it’s still a possibility.

“If a good proposal for player and club arrives, he can still leave.”

Despite Jamie Carragher describing the 32-year-old as “world-class”, Casemiro’s impact has waned this season, with fitness concerns and inconsistency casting doubt over his long-term role in Amorim’s plans.

United are reportedly stepping up efforts behind the scenes to find suitors for Casemiro, with the club keen to free up funds and reduce their wage burden.

With INEOS looking to implement a younger, more dynamic core with future resale value, Casemiro’s exit could be one of several big-name departures in a summer shake-up.

While he remains a respected figure in the dressing room, the clock is ticking, and the business side of football may now determine his fate.

Manchester United fans should prepare for a major midfield reset—one that could begin with the departure of a proven veteran.

The Red Devils faced yet another disappointing loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C yesterday.

Pablo Sarabia bagged a late free kick in which gave the away side the 3 points.

This loss means Manchester United have now lost 15 Premier League games all season.

This is the first time this has happened in their entire history.

Ruben Amorim’s side struggled once again in the final third.

This can be seen with the fact we only had 2 shots on targets throughout the 90 minutes.

With Joshua Zirkzee out injured, Red Devil’s number 9 Rasmus Hojlund has been required to step up.

Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles have been evident this season with only 3 Premier League goals.

With a lack of goal threat clear, investment into the attacking areas must be a priority this summer.

Manchester United make contact with French wonderkid striker

CentreDevils can exclusively reveal United have made contact with French wonderkid striker Enzo Kana-Biyik’s representatives.

This comes after initial reports from (@AbdelHamed6 via) stated that “Manchester United are in the running to sign” the 18-year-old Le Havre striker and are “expected to make an offer in the coming days.

This was followed up a day after by German reporter Christopher Michel (@CMoffiziell via X) that according to his information “it looks good” with United not needing to negotiate with Le Havre due to the 18-year-old being a free agent.

CentreDevils can confirm that this interest is real with contact with the representatives of the French striker being made.

While this doesn’t necessarily mean his signature is imminent, the player is expected to be of very high interest to the Red Devils.

It’s understood to be highly influenced by Manchester United’s Director of Recruitment Christopher Vivell.

Manchester United hold high interest in Zaïd Bafdili

CentreDevils understands that Manchester United hold high interest in Belgian defensive midfielder Zaïd Bafdili.

Zaïd Bafdili contract expires in June 2025 who joined Jong Genk back in July 2023.

The talented midfielder has played for Belgium in youth level including the U15s, U16s, U17s, and U18s.

CentreDevils can exclusively reveal that the Red Devils hold a high interest in the Belgian youngster.

While this interest doesn’t mean that his signing is imminent, contact with his representatives could be made in the coming weeks.

Christopher Vivell is also understood to be the frontrunner in this potential deal.

  • Two goalkeepers set to leave Old Trafford this summer

Ruben Amorim is set to have a massive overhaul of his squad this summer as he faces his first summer transfer window at the helm at Old Trafford.

The United boss has a difficult task ahead of him, either make good of the £600 million of Erik ten Hag signings which have failed to live up to the transfer fees, or recruit new stars with limited funds.

As such, The Red Devils are looking to offload several of their underperforming stars in a bid to clear space in the squad and funds in the budget to sign new talent.

It’s understood that one of the key signings they are desperate to make is a goalkeeper with concerns growing even further around Andre Onana.

The Cameroon international has had a disastrous season with one mistake after another, resulting in goals for the opposition.

As such, the club are looking at prospective replacements in the form of Porto FC Diogo Costa, Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen and Parma star Zion Suzuki.

However, United might need to recruit more than one keeper this summer, with two of their shot-stoppers set to leave Old Trafford.

Manchester United to lose Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton

Football Insider has reported that Altay Bayindir is looking to part ways with United as he’s grown unhappy being second in line to Andre Onana.

The Turkey international is looking to be offloaded in the summer in a bid to get more first-team football.

Alongside him it’s also understood that Tom Heaton is set to retire at the end of the season, bringing an end to his 23 year career in goal, starting and ending it at Old Trafford.

This means that United could be losing their second and third choice goalkeepers in one window, whilst also growing concerned or their first-choice.

As such, it’s clear that the goalkeeping department at Old Trafford is set to look very different at the start of next season.

  • Leeds United look to sign former Manchester United goalkeeper

Manchester United’s hunt for a new goalkeeper is heating up as the club continues to weigh up its options ahead of a crucial summer window under Ruben Amorim.

With Andre Onana’s season at Old Trafford plagued by inconsistency, fans and coaches alike are growing concerned about the lack of reliable depth in goal.

Onana’s high-profile errors in key fixtures have cost United valuable points both domestically and in Europe, prompting the club to explore alternatives who can offer experience, composure, and competition.

Backup options remain limited, with Tom Heaton expected to leave in the summer and Altay Bayındır yet to stake a serious claim, further exposing the fragility in a department once considered stable.

At the same time, Leeds United are grappling with their own goalkeeping headache as Illan Meslier’s season has gone from bad to worse with multiple mistakes threatening to derail their Premier League promotion push.

Sam Johnstone is on Leeds United’s radar

That has led both clubs to consider a move for experienced Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, who is now firmly on the radar after falling out of favour at Molineux, as reported by The Sun.

The 32-year-old former Manchester United academy graduate hasn’t featured since December and has been overlooked by Wolves boss Vitor Pereira even after Jose Sa suffered an injury.

Sam Johnstone is now seen as surplus to requirements, and Wolves are keen to offload his wages, opening the door for a potential summer move.

Leeds are ready to pounce with a £10 million offer as they prepare for Premier League football next season, believing Johnstone’s experience could solidify their backline after Meslier’s underwhelming campaign.

Despite coming through the ranks at United, the Red Devils have no sell-on clause in Johnstone’s contract after he departed the club permanently in 2018 following multiple loan spells.

Sam Johnstone, who boasts four England caps and a wealth of top-flight experience, could represent a cost-effective, low-risk addition for Leeds, offering much-needed cover and stability in a department desperate for it.

With both United and Leeds in need of a dependable No.1, the race for the veteran keeper is quietly becoming one of the more intriguing subplots ahead of the transfer window.

  • Manchester United eye up sensational double summer signing

Manchester United are eyeing up a sensational double signing for the second summer in a row, this time targeting two exciting midfielders.

Last summer saw the Bayern Munich duo of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui arrive at Old Trafford as The Red Devils looked to strengthen their defence.

Whilst the pair were signed under Erik ten Hag for a 4-4-2 system with Mazraoui set for his natural right-back role, the duo have become essential parts of Ruben Amorim’s back three.

Mazraoui has adapted perfectly to fit in as a right-sided centre-back, being one of Amorim’s most used players, whilst de Ligt has only missed out on game-time due to injury.

Now, United are looking to make a double move again, however, from somewhere much closer to home.

Manchester United line up move for Chris Rigg and Jobe Bellingham

UtdDistrict has reported that United are looking to sign the midfield duo of Chris Rigg and Jobe Bellingham from Sunderland this summer.

The Red Devils have been monitoring the pair for some time as part of their new recruitment strategy of signing young stars with heaps of potential.

The duo are regarded as two of the most exciting young midfielders in England, with a move for the pair expected to cost around £60 million.

United’s interest in the pair is reported as “very high” with other top Premier League sides such as Chelsea also monitoring the talented duo.

The Red Devils have reportedly already made contact with Sunderland over a move for Rigg, however, the 17-year-old wants to wait until the end of the season to make any decisions on his future.

  • Ruben Amorim targets former midfielder in Premier League tug-of-war

Manchester United are continuing their late-season push for Champions League qualification, with Ruben Amorim’s side set to face a crucial test against Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League semi-finals next week.

With Champions League football hanging in the balance, planning for the summer transfer window is already underway behind the scenes at Old Trafford.

Despite some positive signs under Amorim, United’s midfield remains inconsistent, especially with the futures of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen uncertain.

The Red Devils are expected to focus heavily on strengthening their spine, with several high-profile names linked across Europe.

Now, a familiar name from Ruben Amorim’s former club is drawing attention.

Morten Hjulmand is of interest to Manchester United

According to reports from CaughtOffside, Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand is attracting interest from Manchester United, along with Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 24-year-old Denmark international has enjoyed a standout season under Amorim in Lisbon, earning praise for his composure on the ball, defensive awareness, and natural leadership.

CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CENTRE DEVILS WHATSAPP GROUP CHAT NOW!

Although Arsenal and Tottenham are said to be leading the race, Amorim’s admiration of Morten Hjulmand could influence United’s next move.

The Portuguese coach previously described Hjulmand as a “fantastic player” during his time at Sporting, and a potential reunion at Old Trafford could be on the cards.

Morten Hjulmand is protected by an €80 million release clause, but sources suggest Sporting would accept a bid in the region of €50–60 million.

Arsenal are expected to lose both Jorginho and Thomas Partey, while Spurs continue to search for a reliable replacement for the inconsistent Yves Bissouma.

Despite facing stiff competition, United’s inside knowledge of the player and their existing relationship with Amorim could give them an edge in negotiations.

Hjulmand has also caught the eye of European giants Inter Milan, Barcelona, and PSG, but the allure of the Premier League may prove decisive.

With United targeting stability in midfield and Amorim pushing for tactical continuity, a swoop for Hjulmand could be the move that reshapes the Red Devils’ engine room next season.
