Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has taken to social media to update fans on his recovery from injury.
The winger has been absent since February with a suspected injury to his ankle ligaments, but could be set for an early return to action.
Despite Ruben Amorim previously confirming the Ivorian would be missing for the remainder of the season, he has since suggested Diallo may return in May.
“Even Amad, we will see in the end of the last month,” Amorim said in March, “I don’t want to say anything but I have the hope to have Amad before the end of the season.”
On Wednesday, United further stoked the flames of excitement by sharing images of Diallo in the gym at Carrington Training Centre.
And today, Diallo took to social media platform, Instagram, to share his own image of his recovery.
In a story posted by NAS Elite Sports Performance, the account for an “athlete development and performance centre”, Diallo was pictured posing on an exercise bike.
The caption read “Pas a pas, mon gars @amaddiallo19”, which, translated to English, means “step by step, my friend”.

NAS work with multiple footballers including Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Kobbie Mainoo, and Ian Maatsen, and say they have a dedicated team to “help facilitate your journey to elite performance.”
Diallo’s latest update will excite United fans, who will hope the Ivorian could return before a potential Europa League final.
The Red Devils played the first leg of their quarter-final away against French club Lyon on Thursday and were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw, after Rayan Cherki’s late equaliser cancelled out Joshua Zirkzee’s header.
Amorim’s side will hope to progress into the semi-finals when Lyon travel to Old Trafford next Thursday, with either Rangers or Athletic Bilbao waiting in the next round.
