  • Manchester United reject Antony bid

Manchester United have knocked back an offer for on-loan winger Antony, according to reports.

The Brazilian completed a six-month loan deal to Spanish club Real Betis in January and hit the ground running.

An impressively taken goal against Celta Vigo got Antony off to the best possible start, before goals and assists followed against Real Sociedad and Getafe.

The 25-year-old has also starred in the UEFA Conference League, registering four goal contributions in just five appearances before Real Betis’ exit.

Antony’s form has prompted discussions over his future at Manchester United, with the Red Devils facing a decision in the summer.

An offer has already been rejected for a second loan spell at Real Betis, though, according to The Mirror.

The bid, to keep Antony for the entirety of next season, was rejected, but Real Betis may return in the summer to attempt to complete a permanent move for the winger.

Despite the Brazilian’s exciting form in Spain, his time at Manchester United has so far resulted in disappointment.

Transfer chiefs at Old Trafford signed Antony from Ajax for around £82m in 2022, in order to reunite the winger with his former coach Erik ten Hag.

And while his first season was positive, with the winger registering eight goals and three assists, he could only follow it up with just five goal contributions in the following season.

Antony struggled for game time in the first half of this season, ultimately resulting in Manchester United agreeing to loan him out.

With the Brazilian in his best form since leaving Ajax, Ruben Amorim may see this summer as the best opportunity to recoup some of the fee Manchester United spent to bring him to England.

  • Marcus Rashford wanted by shock Premier League side

Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford could complete a shock move this summer, according to reports.

Rashford, after making 426 appearances for the Red Devils, left the club to join Aston Villa in the winter transfer window in search of consistent game time.

And since joining the Villans, the winger has impressed, with eight goal contributions, including a brace of assists against Chelsea.

Villa do have an option to buy included in the loan deal, worth around £40m reportedly, but should they not choose to activate it, United will need to find a solution.

Reports have suggested Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim will hold talks with Rashford if he returns, but that the club would still be willing to sell.

Arsenal and PSG have been linked in the past, but that option looks unlikely in the summer.

According to The Sun, a shock option could present itself to Rashford and United in the summer.

The report claims that Crystal Palace are plotting a move for the England international, and would like to talk to the player, should Villa not activate their buy option.

Oliver Glasner’s team have enjoyed a superb second half of the season, climbing to 12th in the Premier League and powering past Fulham to the FA Cup semi-final.

Palace accept they may have to keep their best players in order to convince a star of Rashford’s calibre to join.

Eberichi Eze, Ismaila Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta are just a few of several standout Palace players this season who may attract interest in the summer.

There would be a trodden pathway at Palace for Rashford in the form of Wilfried Zaha, who switched Old Trafford for Selhurst Park in 2015 and spent almost a decade with the Eagles, writing himself into Palace history in South London before moving on.

  • Why Andre Onana has been dropped from Manchester United squad

Andre Onana has been dropped from the Manchester United squad to face Newcastle United on Sunday, according to reports.

The news comes following a tough few weeks for the goalkeeper, in which he has stolen the headlines on more than one occasion.

Just last week, news emerged that Onana’s wife, Melanie Kamayou, was robbed outside of an Italian restaurant in Alderley Edge.

And this week, Onana inadvertently started a war of words against Lyon and former Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic.

Speaking before the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final, Onana claimed United are “way better” than Lyon, a comment which, understandably, wound up the Lyon camp.

Matic chose to hit back, describing Onana as “one of the worst goalkeepers in Manchester United history“.

And it would be the Serbian who laughed last, as Onana made two key mistakes leading to Lyon goals.

The second leg will be played on Thursday, but it is unclear whether Onana will start in goal for Manchester United.

According to reports, he has been dropped from the squad to play Newcastle, with the Manchester Evening News reporting that Onana has been given some time away from the pitch to rest.

The incident involving Onana’s wife has affected him greatly, a situation Ruben Amorim sympathises with, according to The Times.

It is unclear if the 29-year-old will return for United’s second leg against Lyon, but in the meantime, Altay Bayindir is set to make his Premier League debut.

The Turkish shot-stopper arrived at Old Trafford in 2023, and has had to bide his time for a chance in the Premier League.

He impressed hugely at the Emirates Stadium earlier in the season, when he saved two penalties and was awarded player of the match as United knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup.

  • Ajax wonderkid tracked by Manchester United

Manchester United are tracking an Ajax star who has been likened in style to Jude Bellingham, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been keen to build on the growing pool of talent at Carrington, who are working towards breaking into Ruben Amorim’s first team.

Youngsters Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi-Martin were signed this season, and have impressed in appearances for the first team.

A focus on scouting young talents has been key to the United strategy, with 19-year-old Sekou Kone also signed in the summer for around £1m.

The Malian midfielder has featured extensively for the U21 squad of late, and looks primed for a first-team role in the coming years.

And according to MailSport, United have identified another youngster who could bolster the ranks at the academy.

Abdellah Ouazane is a versatile midfielder who currently features for both Ajax and Morocco’s U17s squads.

Manchester United are showing interest in the 16-year-old and could make an approach this summer.

Likened to Jude Bellingham, Ouazane impressed massively at the U17 African Cup of Nations 2025 before Morocco exited the competition in the quarter-final.

He assisted against Uganda and South Africa, and scored a brace against Tanzania.

A clip of the youngster in action for Ajax’s U15s went viral last year, when Ouazane showed incredible technique with the outside of his foot to find a teammate.

When asked about the talented teen, Morocco U17 coach Nabil Baha said: “He’s a player we count on a lot. He can make the difference. He was born in 2009 — people forget that.

“He’s a year younger than the others. But he plays at Ajax, and he’s full of talent.”

Should Manchester United choose to make an approach for the player this summer, Ouazane could add further talent to the growing group of exciting midfield prospects at Carrington.

Another talent, 14-year-old JJ Gabriel, made his debut last week for the Manchester United U18s, coming off the bench to score an impressive brace.

  • INEOS make key Manchester United hire from Mercedes F1

INEOS have taken the unusual step to hire a Data Science Consultant from the Mercedes-AMG Formula One team, for Manchester United.

Michael Sansoni spent almost 11 years with the Mercedes F1 team, first in race engineering before going on to become a performance simulation engineer.

In 2018 he became a senior performance simulation engineer at trackside, before, in 2023, becoming seven-time World Drivers’ Championship winner Lewis Hamilton’s trackside performance engineer.

In July 2024, Sansoni took to LinkedIn to celebrate 10 years with Mercedes F1.

He posted: “From day 1 as a fresh faced placement student. Graduating to working in vehicle dynamics and simulations.

“Then to trackside tyres and performance and now with eight championships during the time as performance engineer for Lewis. It’s been a mega 10 years – have loved every (milli)second.”

Mercedes F1 won an incredible eight World Constructor’s Championships between 2014 and 2021, but have struggled to adapt to new regulations in 2022.

It’s possible Sansoni’s decision to leave the team coincided with the departure of Lewis Hamilton, who started driving for Scuderia Ferrari at the start of this year’s F1 season, in March.

It is unclear what Sansoni’s exact job role is at Manchester United, but the appointment is likely related to Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s demand for further data analysis at the club.

Speaking to The Times in March, Ratcliffe claimed: “United completely missed the data revolution, which Brighton and Brentford didn’t, which Liverpool didn’t either. Liverpool had Ian Graham analysing data between 2012 and 2023.

“They brought in Jürgen Klopp and they had Michael Edwards as sporting director and Graham, who is the genius in football on data analytics.”

“We’re still missing out,” he continued, “because we still don’t have data analysis at United.”

The introduction of a data scientist with extensive experience in data analysis from a different sport may seem unorthodox, but the benefits both on the pitch, and off it, may yet to be apparent.

  • Manchester United plan summer transfer window cull to generate £200 million

Manchester United are in desperate need of a turnaround this summer, having experienced their worst Premier League campaign and being in a dire financial position.

The club are preparing for life with Ruben Amorim at the wheel as next season will be his first full season in charge at Old Trafford.

However, years of financial mismanagement have led to the club struggling financially, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe claiming that without him and INEOS, the club would be bust by Christmas 2025.

With United’s current squad failing to perform, reinforcements are needed, but as such, sales are vital to generate the funds for any newcomers to the squad.

Now, The Mirror has reported United’s plans for a summer cull to bring in some serious funds.

Manchester United squad set to be offloaded

Already United have a handful of senior players out on loan, trying to kickstart their careers anew.

Marcus Rashford is with Aston Villa with an option to buy for £40 million whilst Jadon Sancho is with Chelsea with an obligatory buy of £25 million.

Elsewhere Antony is with Real Betis with the LaLiga side keen to retain him and United looking for £30 million for the winger, whilst The Red Devils are looking for £10 million for Tyrell Malacia who’s with PSV Eindhoven.

Already by offloading these four, United will be generating £105 million.

However, there’s several stars still at Old Trafford that Amorim is keen to see the back of to bring in more impressive replacements.

Firstly is Andre Onana who has been beyond problematic at this stage. As the Premier League goalkeeper with the most mistakes resulting in goals conceded, United are looking to Burnley’s James Trafford as an upgrade.

As such, the club are expecting interest in the goalkeeper from the Saudi Pro League for a value of around £20 million.

This matches the bid they’re expecting from Saudi clubs for veteran midfielder Casemiro who’s failing to compete with the younger midfielders who can bring more intensity to the pitch.

Alongside these are the duo of Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho with Chelsea and Napoli monitoring the layer respectively.

Whilst United aren’t set on selling their homegrown stars, the “pure profit” that a sale of either would generate, with both players having a £50 million price tag, could be too good an opportunity for United to pass up.

  • Manchester United show interest in highly rated 18-year-old striker

Manchester United are continuing to scour the globe for impressive young talent to build a sustainable future for the club.

Over the last two transfer windows since INEOS took charge, United have signed Leny Yoro, Ayden Heaven, Patrick Dorgu, Diego Leon, Sekou Kone and Chido Obi who are all starting to make their mark in the first squad or academy.

However, United aren’t stopping there, with other youngsters like Sverre Halseth Nypan, Chris Rigg, Job Bellingham and many more routinely being monitored by the club.

Now, The Daily Mail has reported that The Red Devils are scouting yet another Championship talent in the form of an 18-year-old Scottish striker.

Manchester United look to Ryan One

Manchester United have now looked to Sheffield United’s Ryan One as another potential summer signing.

The 18-year-old moved to The Blades in 2023, joining their academy from the Hamilton youth set-up. breaking into the senior squad last summer.

Still a fringe player, One’s made 13 appearances this season with a single goal against Bristol City, predominately coming on off the bench.

However, United have competition for the young striker, with Ipswich Town also interested.

The Tractor Boys are looking to One as a potential successor to Liam Delap who is expected to leave in the summer, with United desperate to sign him.

It looks highly likely that Ipswich will be one of the relegated parties this Premier League season, triggering a £30 million release clause for Delap if they are.

As such, United could land Delap, making Ipswich the front runners to sign One, being able to offer him more game time.

  • Lyon star poised for move to Manchester United

Manchester United are looking to one of Lyon’s key players this summer as part of their rebuild, with The Red Devils set to have another front-row seat to scout him next week.

In United’s first leg against Lyon in the Europa League Quarter-Final, the two side left the game as equals with Andre Onana one against making significant errors leading to both of Lyon’s goals.

The Cameroon international failed to save a crossed free-kick from Thiago Almada which bounced over him into the back of the net, and then before the final whistle parried a shot into the path of Rayan Cherki who tapped it in for a 2-2 result.

Now, United are preparing for the second leg at Old Trafford, whilst also preparing a summer move for Cherki.

The Mirror has reported that several clubs are looking to Cherki who has 10 goals and 18 assists in 37 games, with United reportedly leading the race.

The versatile attacker has shown his ability to play on either wing, in attacking midfield or as a striker, having become a key player for his hometown club.

However, United might be able to sign him for £20 million as they look to rebuild their squad under Ruben Amorim.

This isn’t the first time The Red Devils have scouted him, with Nicky Butt wanting to sign the then 16-year-old to their academy.

Now, with just over a year on his contract, the summer presents the last time Lyon could confidently cash in on their star without extending his contract.

United are hoping they can use their previous scouting attempts to lure him away, with him being given a guided tour of Carrington previously, giving The Red Devils the edge over other sides.
