  • AIG of Police Assures Cross Riverians Full Security During and after the Carnival Calabar

    The AIG of Police, Mr. Adisa Bolanta of Zone 6, Calabar describes the state as having gone through total transformation; he added that the police is committed to rendering good services to maintain adequate security. To maintain that the command is committed to rendering security services across the state between the Christmas period. He describes the attitude of the public for refusal to feed the police of adequate info.

    On his part, the Commissioner for Police, Mr. Henry said the AIG of Zone 6 Calabar, Mr Bolanta has directed him to strengthen security in the state during and after the festive period. He express gratitude to the Federal and Sate Government to ensure the Cross Riverians adequate security during the Carnival Calabar and at the Christmas Village.

    The state security adviser to the governor, Mr. Jude Ngaji also said his office has been meeting with the service chiefs of the state which comprises of the police, Army, Navy, Air force and other security agencies to make sure the roads and water ways are fully secured. He calla for members of the public to corporate with the security officers as they help them renders good services..

    In different views, the commissioner for works, Mr. Dan; that of power, Mr. Thomas Udam; the special adviser to the governor and transportation, Mr. Gabriel and the special adviser to the governor on projects, programs, managing and evaluation, Mr. Thomas Akuku also spoke on the level of preparedness for the forthcoming Carnival.

    According to Gov. Ayade as he posted on his Social Media page, being responsive to the needs of the people is the core essence of this administration. Cross Riverians are too precious  to us, therefore their well being is the priority of this administration.

  • Chairman of Bakassi LG Assures NYSC Corps Members Serving in the LGA Adequate Protection

    The Chairman of Bakassi LGC, Elder Usang Iso has appeal to Corps Members serving in the area not to be disturbed by the security threat. They should go about their normal activities without any fear or intimidation. Elder Iso said that she had granted order to Corps Members serving in Bakassi LGA headquarters. The Chairman pledge the council to ensure the relevant authority/stakeholders are involved in the provision of adequate security for the Corps Members to enable them go about discharging their constitutional responsibilities. She use the occasion to promise the council willingness to corporate with the Corps Members in the areas of their needs.

    The leader of Bakassi Legislative Council, Pastor Inok Otu commended the Corps Members for their zeal, understanding and corporation over this period irrespective of the challenges and urge them to keep calm that the council is on top of the situation and wishing them a Merry Christmas celebrations.

    Speaking on behalf of the Corps Members, the CLO Victor Tochukwu Mba stated that the visit was necessary to review the security issues caused by hoodlums in the area and to inform the council of the need to open a recreational park for outdoor activities and the none payment of monthly stipends to Corps Members serving in the private schools in the area.

    After the former governor took away their park, the only place they have to park is the Highways according to NUPENG, Cross River State Chapter. But, is it save for the general public? What will be the talk of the town when tourist and other adventurers comes for the forthcoming Carnival? That is what am considering most as a lot of people will cut off my head after over hyping the city from outside.

    It calls for urgent reply from the governor to try and open a new park for them to save lives of the people for they are the reasons his there. Its even close to his building at the highways, that’s what baffles me most. And it’s more deadly than I thought with this video.
