  • Gov. Ben Ayade Sacks Tinapa Resort MD

We hope his policies helps resurrect the dead resort. And also to rejuvenate the gain which is supposed to be as the cake for creating the innovation.

Cross River governor, Ben Ayade has terminated the appointment of the Managing Director of Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort, Mrs. Francisca Effiom.
Ayade, in a statement signed by his Spokesperson, Mr. Christian Ita, says the termination is with immediate effect.
The statement also adds that the Finance Commissioner, Mr. Asuquo Ekpenyong jnr. is now in charge of the management of the resort.
The sacking comes barely a year after Francisca who was a Special Adviser to former governor Liyel Imoke replaced Arch. Bassey Ndem whose tenure had elapsed.
The resort, since its commissioning by former President Olusegun Obasanjo has been enmeshed in several controversies notably the muddled takeover of the facility by the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) which remains a mystery as the stage of takeover is known to only a few.
An initiative of former governor Donald Duke, the project is seen by some as a white elephant project as it is yet to achieve its full potential.
