Position Summary
- The Finance team is looking to engage intern to support the financial control team in carrying out basic tasks that will support them in gaining field experience and learn essential industry skills.
- The intern will have the opportunity to put to practice their accounting knowledge and skills in a professional setting as they gain more experience to further their career in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the overall guidance of the Finance Officer, the duties will include but not limited to:
- Finance administrative support
- Support in journal entries into the QuicBOOKs
- Support in filling financial documents into their respective folders
- Support the internal control (ICO) in filing and verting documents
- All other tasks as may be assigned by the Finance Officer
Profile
Essential:
The ideal candidate should:
- National Diploma or be a Fresh Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Basic knowledge of Ms Word and Ms Excel
- Interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
- The ability to be discreet when handling sensitive financial information
- A willingness to learn
- Detail-oriented
- Analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Must be a male and resident in Maiduguri
Desirable:
- Experience in development of statistics, charts in Excel.

- 8 years’ experience in Petrochemical, Automotive and Industrial sectors
- NQF Level 7 (Degree/ advanced Diploma in Sales & Marketing or relevant)
- Exceptional communication skills
- Deep knowledge of the Lubricants products you will be selling and its application in heavy industries
- Experience working with, budgets, teams, and customer
- Sound Financial acumen
Advantageous:
- A proven track record in business development
- Experience in managing key and global OEM

What You Will Be Doing
- Manage all Key account activities assigned to the Portfolio
- Develop Growth and Retention Strategies for Existing Key accounts
- Maintain National Pricing (Price Hierarchies, Rebates, Price increases, SAP Changes)
- Assist customer with Engen product/price catalogue management.
- Manage/maintain customer account master structure and changes.
- Propose and drive value adds to increase margin extraction and account retention.
- Manage Pricing at Head Office Level
- Manage National Product Forecast
- Maintain National Contracts (Resign, CMS, Addendums)
- Maintain Call Plan and Relationship at Head Office Level
- Collaborate with Sales Specialist on operational issues
- Share Key account Strategy with Sales Specialist to gain Alignment
- Subscribe to Tender Portals for Lubricants Supply
- Collaborate with commercial Colleagues/Commercial KAM’s for existing and joint opportunities.

Purpose of the Job:
To manage and control bulk fuel inventory and account for all stock related movements accurately and timeously in order to contribute to the efficient running of Depot/Terminal and effectively contribute to profitability
Who you are:
- You are purpose driven, are a perfectionist and you’ve got a flair with numbers
- You are an expert in inventory management
- You are passionate about working with numbers and adhering to processes and procedures
- You have excellent investigative and troubleshooting skills
- You have a reputation for integrity, honesty, analyzing reports and accurate
What you’ll have done before:
Baseline:
- At least 2 years of depot operations experience or inventory management related experience
Certificate preferred
- Exceptional excel skills and SAP knowledge
- Deep knowledge of inventory management and analyzing multiple reports
Advantageous:
- Diploma qualification in Supply Chain or Business or Accounting
- Ability to work successfully in an ever-changing environment and navigate ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage, resolution driven and provides solutions, assesses discrepancies through report gathering and scrutinizing
- Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to apply within an Inventory Management environment
What you’ll be doing:
- Management and control of bulk and packaged products inventory and account for all stock related movements accurately and timeously in order to contribute to the efficient running of the depot and effectively contribute to profitability
- Proactively running reports and investigating possible variance
- Measuring and investigating the costs for the losses and gains
- You’ll leverage on stakeholder management and collaboration
- Exciting challenges you might face in the role:
- Applies knowledge of the Petrochemical (and FMCG) marketplace to advance the organisation’s KPI’s by reconciliation through finding and explaining Gains and Losses
- Driving accountability for variances by engaging with relevant stakeholders
- Creates reports to assess information from various programs
- Effectively detect variances from reports and investigate the losses and gains that are unearth
- Operate effectively, even when things are not certain or the way forward is not clear
