    Treasury & Insurance Controller




    What You’ll Have Done Before

    Baseline:

    • 7 years of experience in Finance or Treasury
    • Knowledge of economics theory
    • Knowledge of banking operations and settlement processes
    • Good understanding of treasury systems
    • Understanding of foreign exchange hedge
    • NQF Level 7 B. Com (Accounting)

    Advantageous:

    • 3 years’ experience as a treasury accountant

    Exciting Challenges You Might Face

    • Effectively supporting the business in risk management.  
    • Reviewing and improving both Treasury and Insurance processes.   
    • Engaging with various stakeholders in Treasury and Insurance.  
    • Supporting various Treasury projects with Vivo Treasury.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    Reporting and budgeting

    • Develop and complete relevant reporting (e.g. forex, month-end) and departmental budgeting for Treasury unit by ensuring compliance with IFRS.
    • Develop and complete relevant business plans for term funding and EPL insurance premiums
    • Ensure good Corporate Governance in order to mitigate any inherent risk.
    • Provide expert technical advice where required in relation to Treasury related function.

    Operational control

    • Conduct operational year end internal and external audit control and monitor & implement Treasury Controls (Back and Front office) through consolidation of audit findings.
    • Ensure timely submission of SARB returns to ensure adherence to processes, policies and procedures.

    Cash management

    • Ensure relevant cash management activities through effective communications with all internal/external stakeholders, ensuring no overdrawn opening bank balances.
    • Ensure accurate forecasting based on drivers, and daily Treasury position sheet accurately and timeously prepared to ensure adherence to processes, policies and procedures.

    Bank facilities and loans

    • Conduct relevant liaison activities with banks by updating facilities with identified banks, application of new facilities as required in order to ensure the Group has the appropriate facilities in place. 
    • Ensuring loan repayments (payable and receivable) have been initiated and internal loans net-off in order to avoid undue interest.

    SAP4H TRM module

    • Effectively utilize the TRM system for maximum benefit in order to ensure all treasury transaction are accurately recorded.
    • Actively enhance the TRM system for banking changes and regulatory changes in order to ensure system is up to date.

    Main partner to AMs and BDs in developing and quantifying value proposition for integrated, customized solutions across products / services
    Iterates with frontline teams at different stages (e.g., value proposition creation, proposal development) to ensure solution meets clientspecific needs
    Develops business requirements document in collaboration with product specialists and technical architect.
    Engages relevant expertise (from Sales Specialist and Solution Specialist) within the CSC, and across other CSCs (engage other SA’s assigned to other segments) as needed
    Market/segment innovation
    Creates solutions & proactively builds solutions for known market needs. Solutions across the Mastercard toolbox, knitting together assets in bundles that can be readily deployed to address key customer “pain points.”
    Identifies enabling partners i.e. external parties such as fintechs, for solutioning when capabilities are not present internally within MA
    “Rinses and repeats” successful solutions and sales approaches
    Knowledge, insights and best practice sharing:
    Shares best practices with Solution Architect community
    Provides input to the product/solution groups and segment leads to enhance their product/solution and segment strategy to meet the needs of the segment

    All About You:

    Deep understanding, experience and discipline of product development, product management, consumer experience and problem solving.
    Good understanding of Mastercard products and services.
    Good understanding of technical basics, APIs, process flows.
    Ability to comprehend the business, market context and customer needs to drive and architect integrated and innovative solutions
    Able to architect integrated solutions by combining MasterCard’s products and services in ways that meet the customer’s key strategic needs.
    Deep knowledge of which solutions work in which environments.
    Highly collaborative; strong communicator, natural integrator with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver products and solutions for customer needs.
    Ability to rally and gain backing from internal stakeholders in order to build organizational support for the proposed solution.

    Semi-Skilled Fitter [Maintenance]




    Role Overview

    • The Semi-Skilled Fitter [Maintenance] will play a pivotal role by assisting with the performance of maintenance inspections and monitoring operating conditions on the piping and flanges, seals, gauges, meters, mixers, pumps installation and alignments, motors to determine load requirements and detect malfunctions

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    ADMINISTRATION

    • Maintain, repair, and lubricate equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
    • The semi-skilled fitter will be responsible for quality of all the mechanical, instrumentation and electrical equipment.
    • Ensure safe and optimized maintenance ensuring compliance to procedures, company policy, legislation, Work permits and PPE rules.
    • The semi-skilled fitter will also be responsible for all troubleshooting and identifying any unsafe conditions on equipment.
    • Identify and immediately report any deviations in the maintenance equipment
    • Optimization of plant and maintenance equipment utilization.
    • The semi-skilled shall be required to perform any other reasonable tasks/services from time to time as required by the business.

    COMMUNICATION AND FEEDBACK

    • Ensure all your superiors are notified in a timely manner regarding aspects of your areas as deemed necessary by them.
    • Deal with personnel matters such as reporting incidents, customer complaints, requesting new employees, extension of contracts and terminations to your manager,
    • Ensure your manager is informed off all staff related matters that will affect the organisation in a dire manner immediately (e.g. IR). 

    ADHOC

    • Any other reasonable adhoc duty as required or requested by management.
    • It should be noted that individuals may need to expand their roles / scope to cover the work load of other employees in times of high work loads or individuals whom may be absent from work. This is the sole discretion of management.
