Anticipate Tinkoriko Calabar Heritage 2025 – fostering social harmony among youths

Founded in 1993 by Chief Orok Duke, Tinkoriko – a sociocultural group, is a platform that fosters harmony among youths from diverse political, social, economic and cultural orientation. The group, with large membership, stands strongly against violence, cultism, drug abuse, kidnappings, human trafficking and other forms of societal vices.

As the relevance of the group in the sociocultural milieu crescendo, Tinkoriko Calabar Heritage was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2018, with Prof. Emmanuel Eyo assuming the presidency of the group, while Chief Orok Duke hold sway as the Patron and Leader of Tinkoriko.

The group has had a profound impact on its members over the years. Beyond entertainment, Tinkoriko, according to the President, Prof. Emmanuel Eyo, has been awarding scholarships to registered members. “We also contribute to the well-being of the less privileged and vulnerable individuals, visiting motherless baby homes to provide support.”

The inclusion of Tinkoriko in the Carnival Calabar calendar, further underscores its relevance in contemporary society. Tinkoriko parade is arguably the second largest street procession in Cross River after the Carnival Calabar. The sociocultural group holds its annual parade on January 1st, which usually kicks off at Efut Street and passes through Hawkins, Chamley, Target, Mary Slessor, Marian Road, Barracks Road, 11-11 Round About, Calabar Road and finally terminates at the Watt Market Round About.

  • Exactly how much slower did Akuma get? Quick footage of every change in Street Fighter 6’s December patch changes

It’s one thing to see patch notes on paper, such as those that just rolled out for Street Fighter 6 here in December, and another to see their practical applications in-game.

The gifted Desk has done the community a service and made a new video offering us real time, side by side comparisons of all recent changes for all characters. The clever content creator takes things a step further, however.

For changes that are not so obvious in their basic execution alone. Taking Ryu’s Heavy Blade Kick as an example, the patch notes given by developers read as follows:

“Heavy High Blade Kick (↓ → + Heavy Kick) 1. Changed attack startup from 29 to 27 frames. 2. Overall technique length changed from 53 to 50 frames. 3. Changed recovery on block from -5 to -3 frames. 4. Decreased knockdown time on hit by 1 frame. 5. Changed Drive Gauge decrease from 8000 to 10000.”

That’s all well and good, but it’s still hard to tease out the practical implications of such changes. That’s where Desk comes in, as he presents this changed move and then showcases how the patch allows for new follow up attacks after performing it in the corner.

Other alterations, such as Akuma’s backwards walk speed being reduced, remain vague on the page. The video offers side by side footage of pre and post patch Akuma retreating from a forward-marching Zangief so we have an immediate reference to judge just how reduced said walk speed is.

You can view the full video right here, but if you’d like to skip around to certain characters, timestamps are also provided.

  • ‘There’s no way she’s going to be low tier!’ — The fighting game community reacts to Mai Shiranui’s new Street Fighter 6 teaser trailer

SNK fans are eating great this week as the next DLC characters set to join King of Fighters 15, Vice and Mature, were officially unveiled via a sweet new gameplay trailer. The very next day, Capcom went and revealed our first in-game look at Mai Shiranui in Street Fighter 6 by way of a teaser trailer that showcased her World Tour Mode introduction.

Yes, it’s been a busy week for fighting game fans and content creators, with Mai in Street Fighter 6 being the biggest talk of the town due to everyone simply dying to know what she’d look like in the game’s graphics engine. Well, Mai has been shown, and the fighting game community has responded by sharing their reaction videos to the new Street Fighter 6 Mai teaser trailer which detail how a lot of us are currently feeling about her right now.

Among those who shared full-on reaction videos you’ll find the likes of Maximilian, Rooflemonger, Smug, Tyrant, and VesperArcade.

Beginning with Max’s take on the upcoming DLC character, the prominent content creator appears to be excited for the fighter, but has some concerns about her looks here with this early appearance. He points out that she looks good overall, but that her face looks a bit off here in Street Fighter 6.

He goes on to mention that he had similar concerns about Terry when we first saw his Street Fighter 6 teaser trailer, but once we saw him on the actual fighting end of things (not just single player World Tour Mode version), he ended up looking a whole lot better. This was also true about other DLC characters such as Ed, so if you’re worried about Mai’s face here you can rest assured that she will likely look quite a bit better when we see her gameplay trailer.

Rooflemonger, who is a massive SNK fan, goes further into this teaser trailer to point out some of the things we see as part of her potential move set. Her trademark Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi can be seen on display in the teaser, and Roof also mentions an animation that appears to be inspired by one of her regular throws.

We also see what appears to be her Dragon Blast flip kick special move, which many were wondering if we’d see return in Street Fighter 6. This move effectively acts as her invincible reversal attack, and she historically doesn’t have many defensive options as part of her toolkit, as Rooflemonger explains.

Dudley pioneer Smug delves a bit more into his predictions for what he thinks Mai is going to be like when she actually becomes playable.

“She’s like the female version of Guile. She’s got a projectile and she can follow up behind it, and if you try to jump she anti-airs,” Smug began.

“She’s going to be mad broken. I think she’s going to be cheaper than Terry. I’m calling it! There’s no way she’s going to be low tier in Street Fighter 6.”

What do you think of this early look at Mai Shiranui in Street Fighter 6? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Emergency Street Fighter 6 server maintenance happening tonight to revert game-breaking Perfect Parry bug

At the start of this week, Capcom released the latest balance update for Street Fighter 6 that introduced changes for every character on the roster. In addition to these tweaks, there were also general system changes made to various aspects of the game, including a change for what can be done after a Perfect Parry happens in certain situations.

Unfortunately, this change to Perfect Parries also appeared to introduce an unintentional, game-breaking bug that removed the ability to buffer attacks when waking up after being knocked down following a Perfect Parry. Capcom mentioned previously that they would be reverting this change to fix the issue soon, and just moments ago they announced that an emergency bout of server maintenance will be taking place tonight to rollback that specific change.

“[Notice] #StreetFighter6 server maintenance will take place at the time below,” Capcom’s tweet began. “This is a short maintenance that’s expected to finish within an hour and will fix a bug that prevents the buffer input from working on the player’s wake-up when they are knocked down after a Perfect Parry.”

This server maintenance period is scheduled to go live tonight, December 6, at 9 p.m. PST / December 7 at 5 a.m. GMT. As Capcom noted, this should be a short maintenance that is only expected to last an hour or so.

The original change that caused this bug in the first place was one made to what the player is able to do if a multi-hitting attack of theirs is perfect parried. Before this latest balance update, it was possible for a player to toss out an attack that hits multiple times, have the first hit perfect parried, and then still cancel that special move into a level 3 super and counter attack.

A good example of this would be A.K.I.’s Cruel Fate (her arcing, leaping into the air stabbing attack). Before the update, A.K.I. could perform this attack, have the first hit of it perfect parried by the opponent, and she could still cancel into level 3 super upon landing which could punish the opponent’s punish attempt.

The ability to make that cancel was removed in the latest update, but along with this, the unintentional bug manifested in seeing the buffer window on wake up being removed when getting up from a knock down that follows a Perfect Parry.

It’s good to see that Capcom is reverting that specific change back to get rid of the bug as two of the Capcom Pro Tour World Warrior Finals were already postponed because of it, and more of these events are coming up very shortly after that and would have likely had to be postponed as well.

  • Haitani releases Street Fighter 6 Modern Controls character tier list following latest balance update

The latest Street Fighter 6 balance update is in full effect, and after almost a week of digging into it it’s looking like players are starting to digest these changes and understand what many of them mean in the grand scheme of things. Every character on the current playable roster received changes with this update, and there were even some fighters who got things on the Modern Controls end of things.

Some believe that one of the biggest winners of this latest update may have actually been Modern Chun-Li thanks to her being given the ability to cancel into all of her stance moves now with this control type. On that note, fighting game veteran and top player Haitani has released a new tier list that focuses on the roster when Modern Controls are selected, ranking everyone based on how powerful (or not) they are with the simplified inputs.

As always, this tier list is organized into several letter grades that signify strength and rank. This time, we only see four categories listed that include S (the best), A, B, and C (the worst).

Thanks to the efforts of our very own Nicholas “MajinTenshinhan” Taylor, we have the full English translation of Haitani’s notes about this Modern tier list. Here is what Haitani wrote.

“Sometimes I get asked when streaming which characters are suited for Modern so I made a chart.

    – They can deal a lot of damage with their combos

    – Their important moves for checking, combo routes, overheads and such are intact

    – They have specials for anti-airing or going through fireballs

    – Their SA can be used to go through fireballs or to interrupt pressure and aren’t charge

Are the basic points of value”

Haitani also added a brief note about beginner level players and Modern Controls. He noted that Modern characters that are strong for beginners are different from this list in that what makes them particularly good for that skill level is their assist combos and not the aforementioned traits.

“Good characters for beginners in Modern is different, in that situation it’s more about their assist combos and target combos being good,” Haitani said. “So characters like Blanka, Marisa, Cammy, Luke.”

As far as placements go, Haitani lists several of the fighters you might expect to be the best in the game with Modern Controls up in S rank. Luke, Zangief, E. Honda, and Lily make up the top 4, which isn’t surprising, but Rashid making it to #5 is certainly interesting given how technical of a fighter he tends to be.

Even with her new buffs, it seems that Haitani puts Chun-Li at #7 overall, though she is still sitting in S rank meaning she’s very good with Modern Controls.

  • New disconnect warning message apparently added to Street Fighter 6 not mentioned in patch notes

Street Fighter 6 just received a fresh update that added brand new balance changes for everyone on the playable roster, among other things. While there was a long list of changes to read over, it seems that Capcom also added something to the game that wasn’t listed anywhere publicly (that we could find after some digging).

Players who have jumped into ranked matches after the update have received a new message when a match disconnects prematurely that appears to warn against it. This new notification promises to restrict matchmaking should too many disconnects happen in short order, and that’s actually a bit concerning.

Capcom appears to be taking further measures to try and punish those who disconnect from ranked matches early, or in layman’s terms, those who rage quit. What’s interesting, though, is that this message appears to be showing up on both sides for the rage quitter and for the person who was quit on, and the messaging remains the same for both.

This seems to imply that you might also get punished if too many people rage quit on you within a short period of time.

“A problem has occurred during the match,” the new message reads. “Matchmaking will be restricted if too many errors are detected in a short period of time.

“Please wait and then try again later. If the problem continues to occur, please check your network connection,” the notification concludes.

Here is a screenshot of this new message that was shared by Boltstrike on Twitter.

New rage quit warning message in Street Fighter 6 image #1

Punishing those who don’t play by the rules has been an ever evolving process for Capcom as they have already added various measures to Street Fighter 6 to help victims of rage quitters. Back in December of last year, the company put into place a new feature that informs of you of the disconnect happening and clearly showcases your opponent’s name and details.

With this screen, you are able to quickly click through to their profile and add them to your block list, which is a very nice thing to have. But now it looks like Capcom is attempting another new feature that aims to deal with rage quitters.

What’s even more interesting is that this new notification in online bouts being added to the game does not appear to have been mentioned anywhere outright (as far as we can tell). There is nothing about it in the main patch notes we reported on previously, nor in the general game change notes Capcom posted on the Buckler’s Boot Camp website.

On the Buckler’s site, though, we do see something noted about the CFN:

    CFN

Re-arranged options when reporting other players, and you can now freely enter text when reporting them for miscellaneous behavior. A special icon is displayed on accounts that have restrictions on their online play.

This icon looks like a small globe with a red X through it, which as Capcom explains, is meant to help you identify those who have restrictions on their CFN accounts (i.e. rage quitters). It also says that you can now add text to your report to let Capcom know exactly how the offender was breaking the rules.

While the new indicator and ways of reporting players sound promising, the aforementioned new warning message really seems as though it’s leaning toward punishing both parties for one person’s bad behavior.

Players on social media who have experienced it themselves already and are seeing others report it are also sharing a lot of concern that they might end up getting unjust restrictions for their opponent’s unsportsmanlike conduct, and we really hope that that isn’t what ends up happening.

  • Woke Business Crumbles, Trans Bathroom Invasion, Drunk Driving Illegal, and More!

Ever since Donald Trump won the Presidency, liberals have continued to choose the path of having complete meltdowns. While many record themselves pathetically crying and post it to TikTok, others decide to take the time to attack Trump supporters.

One of these shining examples is a beauty salon owner from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho who expressed how she thinks Trump supporters are racist, homophobic, misogynist and she doesn’t mind losing your business.

Well, after I posted her video for all to see, she quickly learned the meaning of FAFO. Within a few days, she returned to TikTok to inform us that her clients were dropping like flies.

Who could have seen that coming?

The insanity doesn’t end there though. After it was announced that men were not allowed to use the women’s restroom on Capitol Hill, flocks of LGBTQ activists descended upon the bathrooms to stage protests, including a dance party.

While the mainstream media continues to push transgender propaganda and attack common-sense and science-backed policies, they are also suppressing stories that don’t fit their narrative.

Ivory Smith, a 7-year-old only child was tragically killed in a fatal car accident caused by a drunk-driving illegal alien who came here in 2023 named Joel Enrique Gonzalez Chacin. Ivory’s mother, who was also in the car, was sent to the hospital in critical condition after losing her only daughter. Please keep praying for her.

But Ivory was not the only innocent child to be harmed this week.

More tragedy fell in the town of Oroville, California, when a career criminal named Glenn Litton opened fire at a small Christian school. Two young boys, Roman Mendez and Elias Wolford, were critically injured in the shooting.

It was discovered that he specifically targeted the Christian children as a “response to America’s involvement with genocide & oppression of Palestinians.” More violence from Pro-Palestine activists. Glenn Litton took his own life before police arrived on the scene. The two boys are currently fighting for their lives in critical condition at the hospital.

The mainstream media is dead set on spewing lies to cover up narratives that don’t fit their agenda. That’s why it’s my mission at Libs of TikTok is to expose the truth and hold the media and these institutions responsible.

With your support, I will continue shedding light on the key issues that affect every American. If the media won’t do their job, then I’ll do it for them. We are the media now! Together, we will make a difference.

Have a great weekend and see you next week!

  • Side by side of Mai Shiranui’s Street Fighter 6 model with her City of the Wolves, King of Fighters 15, and other modern appearances

Capcom surprised not only Street Fighter 6 community, but also the many Mai Shiruani fans across the FGC with Thursdays’ official Street Fighter 6 Mai teaser trailer.

While we’ve known the SNK guest has been en route for her next crossover appearance for some time now, this is the first we’ve seen of her actual in-game model for Street Fighter 6. We thought it would be interesting to compare this latest iteration with some of Mai’s recent modern appearances, and so we’ve put together the gallery you can find after the jump.

She may not quite be Chun-Li, but Mai Shiranui is easily one of the most popular figures in the entire fighting game genre. After her debut back in 1992’s Fatal Fury 2, Mai has appeared in over 100 different games and animes (ranging from referenced to fully playable).

The Alluring Ninja Girl is also one of the most commonly cosplayed characters from the fighting genre as it seems just about every portfolio has at least one or two takes on Miss Shiranui.

With such an interesting design, one hardly has to wonder why Mai has garnered such a steady stream of attention over the decades. A flashy set of fiery moves paired with satisfying gameplay and sex appeal that was obvious even when she existed only as a two dimensional sprite in her early days are just some of the reasons she’s been so prominent for so long.

We’ve taken a snapshot of Mai’s Street Fighter 6 model and included it next to five of her other recent models including those from Dead or Alive 5, Dead or Alive 6, King of Fighters 14, King of Fighters 15, and the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.

You can view larger photos of all six models individually, while the seventh and final image in the gallery puts all six together in a collage. Let us know what you think of Capcom’s work on Mai compared to the likes of SNK and Team Ninja in the comments below.
