  • Morel Mackernasey revealed for Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact

Morel Mackernasey has been revealed in a new Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact trailer. Though he’s quite a bit larger than most of the other characters in Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact, he’s able to make up for having a large hurtbox by having tremendous reach on his attacks.

During gameplay, Morel utilizes an oversized smoking pipe as a weapon. While attacking, this unorthodox weapon is able to take up huge amounts of space, giving him unique advantages over the rest of the roster.

One of Morel’s specials has him manifesting a “smoke puppet” that acts independently of his actions. These smoke puppets are able to chain several attacks together, which are shown to be capable of juggling the opponent.

What’s even more scary about these smoke puppets is that Morel is actually able to combo into one quite easily. As the smoke puppet is attacking the opposing fighter, Morel is still capable of moving an performing other attacks.

Morel can also swing his smoking pipe like a golf club. Should he hit the enemy with this attack, they’ll be hit with so much force that they suffer a wall bounce.

Despite being a big-bodied character, Morel doesn’t appear to be a grappler in Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact. Instead, his gameplay seems focused on spacing, rushing down, and creating setups with his smoke puppets.

Check out his new trailer below:

  • Rde reenacts Phoenix Wright’s goofy moveset in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Phoenix Wright has one of the goofier movesets in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which is really saying something for that game. Since Phoenix Wright comes from the visual novel genre, the developers had to be particularly creative with the implementation of his attacks in this chaotic fighting game.

Rde recently took it upon himself to reenact the majority of Phoenix Wright’s move listing in real life. Despite dressing up for the occasion with a suit and tie, Rde had to do a lot of acrobatic jumping to get this silly sequence to go.

One of the ace attorney’s most important moves has him shouting “Objection,” which actually manifests an actual speech bubble. To showcase this, Rde positioned a piece of paper with the word printed on it to sell the attack.

From here, Phoenix Wright is shown performing an aerial combo against Captain America. Funnily enough, this required that Rde do a lot of jumping around while holding papers and performing hand gestures.

While in Turnabout Mode, Phoenix Wright’s reach is greatly extended as his direct pointing becomes capable of dealing serious damage against the opponent, whether that be in the courtroom or in an actual battle.

Of course, Rde wouldn’t be able to emphasize this attack’s power by simply pointing with his finger. Luckily for him, he had access to a blue foam finger just for the occasion.

  • You can snag some beautiful new and returning Christmas costumes in Mortal Kombat 1 right now in celebration of the holidays

A new set of alternate costumes is now available for purchase in Mortal Kombat 1, and this time things are getting real festive. The latest assortment of additional skins currently available in the premium shop includes a couple of brand new, highly anticipated costumes, as well as some returning fan-favorites.

It wasn’t long after Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns dropped that dataminers discovered the existence of two upcoming Christmas-themed costumes that had yet to be added to the in-game shop. Well, now you can actually purchase and play using these new digs for Kameo Fighters Frost and Sareena, and both 3D-era fighters really get into the holiday spirit with these ones.

With Christmas and the holidays rapidly approaching, players out there might be looking to dish out a little holiday cheer this season in Mortal Kombat 1’s various versus modes. You can start doing so right away with two new costume bundles for Frost and Sareena, both of which are labeled as “Kameo Holiday” bundles.

Each gives you a new costume for either Kameo Fighter, and both bundles include six different color palettes each to help you mix and match with your favorite main roster fighters.

Frost’s new costume sees her wearing a top that looks like a cross between a Mortal Kombat ninja and Santa Claus, as well as some short shorts, stockings, and boots. Included on this outfit are several little bits of holiday-themed flair such as a small teddy bear holding a present hanging off of her belt, and my favorite part, a string of Christmas lights that actually light up hanging around her neck.

Sareena’s new outfit is a bit more badass and tough as she decks herself out in a full on leather outfit. Her default palette sees her essentially all in black complete with a black Santa hat, and the main parts of this costume that capture the Christmas spirit are the candy cane-colored tufts of fluff that line her top, her arm bands, and her hat.

In addition to these sweet new duds for Sareena and Frost, some of the holiday outfits from last year have also returned to the premium shop for a limited time. If you missed out on them last time, now is your chance to scoop them up.

Mrs. Klaus Kitana (which you can see in the gallery below), Krampus General Shao, and Santa’s Helper Reptile can all be purchased right now in-game.

Every one of the costume bundles we’ve discussed above will run you 500 Dragon Krystals each. This translates to $4.99 USD per 500 Krystals.

  • New Final Fantasy XVI collaboration items are also coming to Tekken 8 along with Clive Rosfield

Bandai Namco made their big reveal yesterday during The Game Awards and announced the final DLC character set to join Tekken 8 via its first year of content. Clive Rosfield, the main protagonist from Final Fantasy XVI, is entering the ring with sword and phoenix flames in hand, and he’s set for early access release next week.

After the big unveiling, the company followed up with some announcements over on their social media platforms that detail some of the other content we can expect to be available in-game soon. Two Final Fantasy XVI collaboration packs are set to be added to the in-game shop that will grant players access to several Final Fantasy-themed customization items.

Now, the official Tekken Twitter account shared a series of tweets that disclose the contents of the two upcoming collaboration packs. There’s the “Joshua Rosfield” pack, as well as the “Jill Warrick” pack that you can purchase each netting you different in-game items.

The tweets state outright that these two item packs are available now in Tekken 8, but after checking myself on PC and seeing several responses to the thread saying the same thing, it doesn’t appear that these items are actually available in the in-game shop at the time of writing this.

These tweets were posted yesterday during the time of the Clive reveal, so there’s a good chance that the tweets are simply mistaken and that the contents won’t actually go on sale until next week when Clive is added to the roster.

All of that having been said, the Joshua collaboration pack includes a character costume set called “Undying Red” that seemingly lets you dress your favorite fighters in a similar getup to Joshua in Final Fantasy XVI.

In addition to this, you’ll also receive a new Tekken Ball… ball that transforms it into a red Bomb King, as well as a little Moogle clled “Nektar the Bold,” which will likely be one of the floating customization items you can equip that sees the creature follow you around as you fight.

The “Jill Warrick” pack offers similar, but different goodies. With this pack you’ll score an “Icy Blue” costume also inspired by Final Fantasy XVI, as well as a Clive avatar skin and a blue Bomb King, again, for Tekken Ball.

If you want these items for yourself, you can expect to pay 500 Tekken coins each for either pack.

  • Daigo says Akuma’s nerfs in the latest Street Fighter 6 balance update were ‘no-brainer’ changes

He’s still going to main Akuma

Players are still processing the latest balance update that was added to Street Fighter 6 last week. Despite Capcom saying the patch wouldn’t be a large one, everyone on the roster did receive some changes (some big, some small), and there were some clear winners and losers.

While we’ve talked quite a bit about said winners and losers already, another branch of this discussion leads to the players themselves talking about how their main characters were impacted. We now have Daigo “The Beast” Umehara sharing his thoughts on how Akuma’s nerfs have affected the powerful Shoto, and from the sounds of it, The Beast seems fairly unfazed.

Daigo recently took to his live stream to walk viewers through the changes and more deeply explore them for himself. He has since uploaded the segment to YouTube with full English subtitles allowing us to learn more about what he thinks on the matter.

Naturally, the main focus for this video is Akuma and the nerfs he received. We saw such changes as a slower back walk speed for the fighter, a larger hurtbox on his arms when throwing a fireball, and less damage on his Overdrive Gou Shoryuken.

Early on, Daigo tests the change made to Akuma’s regular and Overdrive Gou Hadoken. This change extends the hurtbox forward after the move begins, which is intended to make Akuma’s already strong fireballs easier to punish with projectile invincible moves and jump in attacks.

Daigo runs some quick tests and notices that it’s still fairly hard to space maneuvers like Akuma’s level 2 super and Ken’s Overdrive Shoryuken and successfully punish his fireball — though it definitely does appear slightly more punishable now.

Later in the video, Daigo tests out the nerf to Akuma’s Demon Swoop that increases the landing recovery when the Shoto uses it to switch sides and sails over the opponent. “Demon Raid was [over powered], so that change doesn’t matter,” Daigo explains.

And that there seems to be the sentiment Daigo has about Akuma’s changes overall. He notes that the changes made are “no-brainer” changes (obvious changes) that likely needed to happen as Akuma was too strong. That being said, he still intends to play the character and feels these changes mostly wont impact him — though that could change as we learn more.

You can find Daigo’s full thoughts on Akuma’s changes, as well what he thinks about some of the other top tiers’ nerfs below. Just be sure to hit the closed captions button before watching.

  • Daniel Penny Freed, School Child Abuse, Fall of the UK, and more!

While much of the country has been swept up by the recent assassination of the UnitedHealthcare CEO, including delusion liberals who are openly praising a cold-blooded killer, I wanted to make sure that you didn’t miss some of the most important stories of the week.

What better way to start than with the long-awaited conclusion to the trial of Daniel Penny, a former marine who stopped Jordan Neely, a violent career criminal from harming innocent bystanders on the subway? Daniel Penny was found NOT GUILTY and walked out of the courthouse a free man.

However, that didn’t stop BLM leaders like Hawk Newsome (pictured above) from calling Daniel Penny a racist and demanding that “black vigilantes” rise up and enact violence.

While BLM and unhinged liberals have meltdowns over the “racist” justice system, other systems such as our schools are in serious trouble.

Earlier this week, I highlighted a story about teachers who left a young autistic student lying on the ground in agony for TWO HOURS after he broke his femur.

Teachers reportedly laughed, talked, and ate food while the child cried in pain. After two hours, the boy was finally taken to the hospital for treatment. The school has since fired the teachers but the parents are demanding answers.

Speaking of demanding answers, what is going on in our military?

Yesterday, I published a story on the Tooele Army Ammunition Depot in Utah, which is holding an “inclusive holiday card design contest.” Servicemembers are instructed to create a card design that represents DEI.

    Image

We are supposed to have the greatest fighting force on the planet, and here we are shoving woke garbage down the throats of servicemembers. With Donald Trump on his way back to the White House, the Democrat’s plan to destroy the military will be over.

However, what the Democrats can’t destroy with their woke ideology, they will just attack instead.

Rep. Nancy Mace, a sitting congresswoman, has been the focus of mainstream media onslaught for opposing the idea that men should be able to invade women’s bathrooms and private spaces. Because of her views, she was violently assaulted by an LGBTQ activist on Capitol grounds.

    Image

The Left always resorts to violence when they don’t get their way. It’s why they love to praise and glorify dangerous criminals time and time again. It’s why they protect criminal illegals over American citizens. It’s why they seek to harm children with irreversible gender treatments or kill them in the womb before they have a chance to draw breath.

At Libs of TikTok, I won’t let them get away with it. I will continue to expose the radical Left for the evil freaks that they are. We are the media now! Together, we will make a difference.

Have a great weekend and see you next week!

  • SNK unveils concept art and dark new King of Fighters illustration to commemorate release of Mature and Vice

It’s been a long time coming as we’ve known about SNK’s plans to add Vice and Mature into King of Fighters 15 since back in July, but now the deadly pair of femme fatales has arrived with Thursday’s release of King of Fighters 15: Ultimate Edition.

In addition the Wednesday release of both characters’ trailers, developers have also dropped images of concept art for Vice and Mature. On top of that, they’ve also shared a new piece of official King of Fighters 15 artwork from the game’s main character designer, Tomohiro Nakata. See it all below.

Both fighters have similar, flowing blouses that primarily differ in their color coding. Mature has lighter colors as she dons white attire with her blonde hair and blue eyes, which contrasts with Vice’s various shades of red.

As the concept art confirms, both characters have essentially the same exact outfit on right down to the types of boots they wear and their flowery blouse designs and accents.

The illustration from Tomohiro Nakata features both of these newcomers alongside six other fellow King of Fighters 15 roster mates.

This image mainly utilizes dark purples and reds, making for a somewhat evil feel as some of the subjects are clearly possessed by KOF overarching antagonist Orochi.

You can check out the concept art for Mature and Vice, as well as the new illustration in the gallery below. Let us know what you think of all this exciting new KOF 15 content, and whether you’re more of a Vice or Mature fan in the comments section.

  • Guilty Gear Strive producer issues apology for recent issues, explains incoming adjustments in patch planned for December 23

The Guilty Gear Strive community has been enduring quite a bit of turbulence recently as the initial Season 4 update brought with it a myriad of problems, and the ensuing 1.41 update is also not going as planned.

Producer Ken Miyauchi has posted an apology for the known 1.41 issues that also includes plans for yet another update. This hopefully final fix will roll out on December 23, and while the exact patch notes are not yet available, below you’ll find descriptions from Miyauchi on what all he and his team at Arc System Works are planning to change.

Currently, due to the problems shared in the Ver. 1.41 Known Issues announcement as well as new issues occurring after the fix, we have failed to meet players’ expectations. As we reflect on the current situation, we are also working to ensure this does not happen again. We offer our deepest apologies.

We plan to release an update to fix these issues on December 23.

We’ve received a lot of feedback on the Season 4 battle balance adjustments. With the players’ feedback in mind, we’ve confirmed the current condition in matches and found that some aspects have departed from the development team’s intentions behind the balance changes.

While taking into account upcoming update plans and the impact on work towards fixing in-game issues, we have decided to make battle balance adjustments on December 23 as well for areas that need to be dealt with promptly. The following covers the core changes made in this update.

    1. Adjustments for moves and damage that did not align with the intent to increase the overall number of interactions in a match

Although we raised overall defense, as a result of increased damage to individual moves and the addition of new combos, we were not able to achieve the intended effect of increasing the number of interactions within actual matches. To address this, we’ve adjusted damage in line with the overall changes as well as reassessed some characters’ move properties and reduced chip damage during Guard Crush.

    2. Adjustments to move properties that did not align with individual characters’ balance intentions

We’ve made adjustments for areas where the balance between strengths and weaknesses for each character’s concept was off, as well as for aspects where characters struggled to show their strengths in actual matches.

    3. Restoring Potemkin’s sliding special move inputs and balance adjustments in line with this change

In the previous balance adjustment, we removed sliding special move inputs in an attempt to prevent unintended inputs and improve the feel of the controls. However, after seeing the response to this change, we’ve decided to restore the sliding special moves and make balance adjustments inline with this.

The changes made to Potemkin’s move inputs made in an effort to prevent unintended inputs remains as-is, so due to the new inputs required some moves make it more challenging to perform this technique.

We intend to make him a character who can be fun even if you cannot fully utilize this technique, with a deeper layer of strategy available to those dedicated enough to master it. The development work on these adjustments has been completed, and final checks are currently underway in preparation for the December 23 release. The patch notes (to be released at a later date) will have more details.

We would like to apologize sincerely again for the serious issues caused to all of our players, tournament organizers, and everyone who helps support the community. We will continue to listen to our players and work hard to improve the gameplay experience. We greatly appreciate your kind support.

    – Guilty Gear Strive Producer, Ken Miyauchi.
