  • Suzanne Somers Husband Alan Hamel Heartfelt Love Note As She Dies At 76

Actress Suzanne Somers, known for her role in “Three’s Company” and her iconic fitness promotions on television, has passed away at the age of 76, as confirmed in a statement by her longtime publicist, R. Couri Hay.

Her publicist officially announced that Suzanne Somers has died at her home in California, surrounded by her family. The statement revealed that she had been battling an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.

Somers had been undergoing treatment for her breast cancer in the Midwest, but unfortunately, it was not successful, leading her to return to California.

Suzanne Somers’ husband, Alan Hamel, presented the actress with a handwritten letter just a day before her passing on a Sunday (October 15). Unfortunately, she passed away a day before her 77th birthday, which was scheduled for Monday.

Alan Hamel’s Heartfelt Love Letter to Suzanne Somers the Day Before Her Passing

Suzanne’s husband, Hamel, who is 87 years old, gave a heartfelt poem as a handwritten letter as an early birthday gift to Somers.

As per her publicist R. Couri Hay, Hamel chose to give her the poem a day in advance. Somers read the poem, went to bed, and peacefully passed away in her sleep later.

The note, written in all capital letters, was adorned with pink peonies as a heartfelt touch.

The note began, “Love I use it every day, sometimes several times a day. I use it at the end of emails to my loving family. I even use it in emails to close friends. I use it when I’m leaving the house. There’s love, then love you and I love you!!

Suzanne Somers Husband Alan Hamel Heartfelt Love Note As She Dies At 76

He met his second wife, the actress and author Suzanne Somers, who was ten years younger than him, while she was working as a prize model on “The Anniversary Game,” a game show he hosted.

Hamel and Somers lived together for approximately a decade before they tied the knot, with their wedding officiated by both a rabbi and a Catholic priest.

In addition to his own children, Hamel became a stepfather to Bruce Somers, Jr., who is Suzanne Somers’ son from a previous marriage during her teenage years. Tragically, Suzanne Somers passed away on the eve of her 77th birthday, on October 15, 2023.

  • Fighting game pros Justin Wong and Vicious face off in… Yu-Gi-Oh as part of new official Deck Flexing series

If you grew up in the early-mid 2000’s (or even beyond) and ended up getting into fighting games, there’s a pretty strong chance you followed Yu-Gi-Oh at some point too.

Two of the biggest names in fighting games with multi-game Evo champion Justin Wong and top commentator Jeremy ‘Vicious’ Lopez were recently featured on the official Yu-Gi-Oh channel to compete against each other in a new Master Duel Deck Flexing series with the help of Yugitubers Team APS.

Before getting to the deck profiles, both players reveal they were fans of the original Yu-Gi-Oh anime with JWong saying he even used to take his Elemental Hero deck to locals back in the day.

Appropriately, they’re taking the themes back to those early sets with Vicious busting out the Dark Magician and Dark Elf as his big beaters with Justin going full Seto Kaiba with his three Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

As someone who’s followed online and competitive communities for both (though mostly the FGC), it’s interesting to see a crossover like this going down, but this also isn’t the first collaboration between the scenes.

You can check out the full episode of Deck Flexing below featuring Justin and Jeremy, and let us know in the comments what your favorite Yu-Gi-Oh decks and cards were growing up (or now if you’re still playing).

  • Top 100 MR ranked characters in Street Fighter 6 after giving A.K.I. time to settle in with only 2 missing the party

It’s been about two and a half months already since Street Fighter 6 first introduced MR ranking system to try and give players more to strive for beyond just grinding League Points.

Now that A.K.I.’s been given some more time to settle into the game as the latest DLC character, we’ve decided to go through and see who all is (and isn’t) up there in the top 100 MR.

At the time of reporting, Lightspeed is the number one in the world with 2,313 MR right now with Cammy, and interestingly, over half of all the Cammys present in the list are in the top 20.

That doesn’t mean she’s the most popular girl at the ball, however, as that honor now apparently falls on Luke with 13 players doing exceedingly well with him.

In fact, he’s shown the most growth in that regard from the last time we looked at the highest ranks two months ago when he wasn’t even in the top 5.

Chun-Li has also seen a decent boost too up to third place with 11 players in the top 100, but while Ken is slightly better with 12, his overall numbers have actually gone down from last time.

Similarly, JP isn’t even in the top 3 after losing a few numbers (though he isn’t that far off).

We actually had one A.K.I. crack the top 100 with Japan’s Hikaru taking her to 18th overall already.

Meanwhile, DFM|John Takeuchi has managed to take his Rashid all the way up to number 4 overall, which is pretty darn impressive.

The current top 10 is points are made up of Cammy, Chun-Li, Rashid, Kimberly, JP, Dee Jay and Lily with the only repeats being Chun and Cammy.

Out of the now 20-character roster, the only two left out completely were Ryu and Zangief with the grappler coming fairly close to the cut considering DNG|Itabashi Zangief has him up to 104th right now.

Statistically speaking, we can also see that just over half of said roster is technically underperforming in terms of representation, but those spots need to be taken up by somebody.

You can check out a breakdown of the top 100 MR ranked characters for Street Fighter 6 below.

    • Luke – 13

    • Ken – 12

    • Chun-Li – 11

    • JP – 10

    • Juri – 9

    • Cammy – 8

    • Marisa – 7

    • Dee Jay – 6

    • Dhalsim – 5

    • Blanka – 3

    • Guile – 3

    • Manon – 3

    • Rashid – 3

    • E. Honda – 2

    • Kimberly – 2

    • A.K.I. – 1

    • Jamie – 1

    • Lily – 1

    • Ryu – 0

    • Zangief – 0

  • How to Achieve Stunning Halloween Hair by Following Khloe Kardashian’s Hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons’ Tips

    – Hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons has done Halloween looks for Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian.
    – Andrew recommends finding wigs at beauty supply stores because they’re cheaper and easier to style. He suggests using a blowdryer on low and a round brush to shape the wig and using wig tape to keep it in place.
    – If dyeing hair for Halloween, Andrew suggests using temporary hair color and practicing healthy hair techniques beforehand. He also recommends using products like a hair mask to ensure the hair is in good shape before dyeing.

    Here is what happened:

In a recent interview with E! News, celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons shared his expert tips and tricks for achieving show-stopping Halloween hair. With clients like Khloe Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez, Fitzsimons knows a thing or two about creating memorable looks. One of his favorite Halloween styles was Cleopatra for Khloe Kardashian, where he sewed gold beads onto a wig for a chic look. Fitzsimons recommends checking out wig and hair shops or beauty supply stores for more options and affordable prices. He suggests using a synthetic wig with bangs to conceal the natural hairline and recommends using a blowdryer on low and a round brush to shape the wig. He also suggests using wig tape for a secure fit. If wig styling isn’t your thing, Fitzsimons mentions that hair extensions are a more cost-effective option that can be used beyond Halloween.

For those considering dyeing their hair for Halloween, Fitzsimons advises practicing healthy hair techniques beforehand, such as limiting heat styling and using deep conditioning hair masks to ensure the hair is in good shape to handle a color change. He also recommends using temporary hair color products like chalks, sprays, gels, and creams for a quick and easy transformation.

Fitzsimons also emphasizes the importance of using the right tools and techniques for Halloween hairstyles. If you’re going for an extravagant updo, he suggests using a strong-hold hairspray to make sure the style lasts all day or night. If you’re using hot tools, he recommends using heat protection products to protect the hair and add strength and shine. Lastly, Fitzsimons advises taking out any tight hairstyles before going to bed to avoid causing damage or breakage to the hair.

With Fitzsimons’ expert advice, styling your hair for Halloween doesn’t have to be scary. Whether you opt for a wig or decide to dye your hair, he provides valuable tips for achieving a stunning and long-lasting look.

  • Here’s a look at all NPC characters in Mortal Kombat 1 including Janet Cage

During the story mode of Mortal Kombat 1, the player is forced to fight against a number of NPC characters. Although Quan Chi and Ermac won’t be officially playable until Winter 2023/2024 and Spring 2024 respectively, the story mode offers a sneak peek at these fighters through special battles with them.

As it turns out, a modder known as Ermaccer has already created a mod that allows the player to use the NPC characters that appear in the story mode, and even a few that don’t. A video has been uploaded to YouTube by SHAAR that demonstrates what these fighters are actually capable of.

Of course, Ermac and Quan Chi are among the NPCs that have been made playable through this method. Just like how they’ve been depicted in the story, their playstyles are most reminiscent of how they played in Mortal Kombat 9.

Similar to how Tanya was changed up from an NPC to a DLC combatant in Mortal Kombat X, we can probably expect Ermac and Quan Chi to play radically different compared to how they do with mods enabled.

Recently, we learned that the Johnny Cage Kameo that was originally planned as DLC for Mortal Kombat 1 has been replaced by “Janet Cage.” Though the character barely had any real influence on the story, Janet Cage did briefly appear in the Mortal Kombat 1 single player story towards the end.

Strangely enough, it’s actually possible to access Janet Cage, though it’s worth noting that she just plays like Johnny Cage. There’s also a Cyber Smoke character that is effectively just Smoke in terms of gameplay.

Perhaps the oddest NPC characters found in the code are female versions of Ermac, Reptile, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero. Check it all out in the video below:

  • Jinglebooboo radiates beauty and grace during amazing Palutena cosplay

During Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s All-Star Smash single player mode, the player must fight against all 86 characters in the order that each character made their debut video game appearance. Though it might feel like Pit and Palutena have only somewhat recently become relevant with Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Kid Icarus: Uprising, they’re actually the 18th and 19th oldest fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate respectively.

This is due to the fact that both characters actually first appeared in Kid Icarus back in December 19, 1986. Their designs in Super Smash Bros. Brawl were designed with the mindset that the characters’ appearances would keep evolving over the years similar to how Link and Zelda evolved throughout the Legend of Zelda series.

Though Pit’s design and personality would be fully modernized by Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Palutena’s evolution as the character we know her today wouldn’t be complete until Kid Icarus: Uprising when it was released in March 2012.

Since then, Palutena has taken on the appearance of a slender woman in her twenties with long green hair that reaches down to her legs. She’s wearing a layered, white dress with numerous gold accessories.

During gameplay, she utilizes a gold staff in her right hand with a mirror shield in her left hand. Though her shield doesn’t passively block projectiles like it does for Link in Hero in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, attacks that utilize it have a unique property that allows her to “trample” over other hitboxes.

Additionally, Palutena will manifest ethereal wings during specific attacks. These attacks often have wind boxes associated with them that push opponents away if the attacks themselves fail to connect.

Regardless, there can be no mistake that Palutena is the Goddess of Light within the Kid Icarus series. Though she can be somewhat mischievous at times, Palutena is said to be kindhearted and benevolent.

Quite a lot of Pit and Palutena’s personalities are demonstrated in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate since Pit can access “Palutena’s Guidance” when Palutena’s Temple is selected as a stage. With the exceptions of Joker, Hero, Banjo-Kazooie, Terry Bogard, Byleth, Min Min, Steve, Sephiroth, Pyra & Mythra, Kazuya Mishima, and Sora, the Goddess of Light is able to offer advice to Pit on fighting 75 out of 86 characters.

The sequence is very similar to Snake’s Codec Conversations on the Shadow Moses Island stage. However, it should be noted that there are a lot more conversations between Pit and Palutena with Palutena’s Guidance compared to Snake’s Codec Conversations since this is simply recycled audio from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Thanks to the efforts of Masahiro Sakurai, Palutena has gained quite a bit of popularity from being relatively unknown character with her only two previous appearances in Kid Icarus (1986) and Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters (1991).

Needless to say, we recently took notice of Jinglebooboo’s Instagram page where she has cosplayed as a number of female Nintendo characters. Check out her beautiful Palutena cosplay (with wings even) below:
