Tekken 8 has definitely stepped up its particle effect game by moving up to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but if you think they’re overwhelming, you may want to see this.
Some players of the Tekken 8 closed beta test have shared footage of a pretty funny glitch that basically turns every particle into an explosion.
As can be seen in the clips, every strike, ground bounce and pretty much everything else turns the glow / lighting on particles up to like 12/10 and can make things pretty incomprehensible.
It pretty much becomes impossible to see anything on the screen when Rage activates or when the KO happens, but at least at that point, the round is already over.
According to the Tekken subreddit, this bug appears to be caused under certain situations after a wall / balcony break on the hangar stage though we don’t really know the exact cause — and can no longer test it.

Since this was just a beta test for a game that’s still three months away from releasing, this will almost assuredly be fixed before then, but it’s still interesting to see these hiccups happen during development.

GyoGun|Mago recently found himself analyzing a certain Cammy player in Street Fighter 6. It was fairly clear that this player had some preprogrammed responses as they were pulling off some unbelievable responses against certain actions.
As reported on previously, cheating is becoming a major problem when it comes to Street Fighter 6’s online. At this point, there are several players that have been able to climb the ranks thanks to some cheats.
FGC Translated has uploaded a video that translates Mago’s responses to the opponent’s very suspicious reactions. For example, they were almost always able to counter a throw attempt with a dive kick special after jumping.
Mago laughed and commented that they didn’t even need to use the Overdrive dive kick as they were that confident that it would punish the whiff throw’s recovery. Needless to say, this is not something a human should be able to consistently do.
Unfortunately for Mago’s MR, he ended up running into this opponent multiple times. Mago suspected that he was one of the few players that had yet to block the opponent, but would also begin to wonder if he was being stream sniped.
Despite Mago’s experience as a competitive Street Fighter pro, he had a very difficult time doing anything against the opponent’s defense. The one time that Mago won had him wondering if the opponent had their cheats turned on for that match.
Initially, Mago was able to get some good shots in a crack the opponent’s defense a few times. In the end, however, Mago decided to just block the opponent as the experience had become stale due to the increasingly impenetrable defense.

Despite Street Fighter 6’s strong roster of characters almost across the board, we typically see a pretty high percentage of JP and Ken players at big events, but that wasn’t so much the case this past weekend.
East Coast Throwdown 2023 brought in almost 500 competitors for SF6, and now that the action has wrapped, we can see that the usual top tiers didn’t quite dominate the way they usually do as of late.
That’s right, it was actually Kimberly that was the most popular pick of the top 64 with 10 players maining her in the upper brackets, which is extra fitting since Shine won with her (and his pocket Chun-Li for grand finals).
Juri and Dee Jay made up the rest of the top three in the popularity to edge out Ken and Cammy from reaching those top spots.
JP did not have as good of a weekend in Connecticut considering even E. Honda and Manon beat him out in picks with his highest placing mains only cracking the top 32.
That’s a pretty massive change up from the Capcom Pro Tour Singapore Premier that was going down at the same time where Ken, JP and Luke dominated the overall numbers.
Like that event, however, we did get another Rashid in the top 8, and there was even an A.K.I. secondary getting second in ONi|Naji with her highest placing main being Prophet at 13th.
The top 8 itself almost couldn’t get more diverse with Kimberly, Juri, Rashid, Luke, Cammy, Manon and Marisa making up the primaries and only the winning pick repeated, which was great to see.
We saw 18 mains overall in the top 64, so the only ones who didn’t get picked first were once again Ryu and Jamie though the dancer did show up as a back-up.

A.K.I. is the latest combatant to join Street Fighter 6’s roster. Though many high level players believe that A.K.I. is quite weak compared to the rest of the cast, it’s undeniable that Capcom did a good job of designing an interesting and unique character within the Street Fighter lore.
Though A.K.I. learned her techniques from F.A.N.G, she’s thematically a creepier character compared to her goofball master. Needless to say, it takes some degree of skill to truly pull off A.K.I.’s mannerisms in real life.
Some time ago, it was revealed that A.K.I. was essentially designed to be a “white snake that carries poison” during her development process. White snakes are typically supposed to be nonvenomous in real life, but A.K.I.’s pale complexion is meant to be a deception in this way.
However, A.K.I. also sports a black, open-backed cheongsam (Chinese dress) with black, skintight pants. The black portions of A.K.I.’s clothing are intended to represent a black mamba, and even the design of the front of her outfit resembles the serpentine patterns of a snake.
Unlike white snakes, the black mamba is thought of as one of the deadliest snakes in the world. Without treatment, a bite from a black mamba is said to be 100% fatal against humans.
Of course, A.K.I.’s snakelike qualities aren’t just limited to her appearance. During gameplay, she’ll also exhibit creepy snake mannerisms such as slithering along the ground.

As one could probably imagine, it would be rather difficult for a human to actually slide along a flat surface like this in real life. However, Akemikun has approached the problem with a unique solution with her A.K.I. cosplay.
First off, it should be mentioned that she replicated A.K.I.’s appearance quite well. In addition to the aforementioned pale complexion and black cheongsam, Akemikun has also recreated A.K.I.’s nails in which she uses to inject poison against opponents or assassination targets.
To pull off the slide, she actually has a little help from a friend. While lying on the floor, she has someone else pulling the towel that she’s lying on while pulling off the movements that A.K.I. is known for.
