  • Omni-Man’s early access release date for Mortal Kombat 1 appears to have leaked

Mortal Kombat 1 has been out just over a month already, and it looks like the game’s first big DLC release is right around the corner.

The official Xbox Store page for MK1 appears to have leaked the early access launch date for Omni-Man from Invincible.

According to the store page, Omni-Man will be available for Kombat Pack owners starting Monday, November 6, 2023.

Assuming that’s correct, this would mean his full release date would be November 13 since KP owners get a one week head start for those who didn’t want to drop the $40 on the pass.

That would also presumably point to Tremor launching as the first DLC Kameo fighter at the same time as well since he was previously confirmed alongside Omni-Man.

This fits since NetherRealm Studios previously stated they’d be coming in November, but the date could still be a placeholder since it’s the first Monday of the month — and Nov. 6 hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

A new Kombat Kast going over Omni-Man’s gameplay should be coming in very short order then as well and likely within the next week or so.

Interestingly, Omni-Man’s release date lines up with an earlier image of an alleged PlayStation Support chat that gave them all out and shared by the typically reliable Thethiny.

Following Omni-Man, they had Quan Chi next on December 18, Peacemaker on February 4, 2024, Ermac on March 5, Homelander on May 13 and Takeda on July 1.

We are a bit doubtful these are the exact dates, however, considering Feb. 4 is on a Sunday next year, which most companies aren’t going to release big DLC on.

It’s still something we should probably be keeping an eye on though moving forward.

Mortal Kombat 1 also received its largest update to date this week that added new features to the game as well as nerfed Cyrax’s Kameo assist to which you can find the full patch notes for here.

  • Aspirants Season 2: Exploring The Accidental Administrators

“Aspirants” is a web series in the Hindi language from 2021, and it falls under the coming-of-age genre. The show is produced by The Viral Fever (TVF) and was brought to life by creators Arunabh Kumar and Shreyansh Pandey.

Deepesh Sumitra Jagdish takes credit for the writing, while Apoorv Singh Karki directed the series. The cast includes Naveen Kasturia, Shivankit Parihar, Abhilash Thapliyal, Namita Dubey, and Sunny Hinduja.

In addition to the information provided, there’s considerable curiosity surrounding “Aspirants” Season 2. This article will delve into a comprehensive review of the second season and explore more intricate details about what viewers can expect from it.

Two Timelines And Personal Struggles In Aspirants Season 2

In “Aspirants” Season 2, the narrative unfolds across two distinct timelines, a structure reminiscent of Season 1. In the first timeline, Guri (played by Shivankit Singh Parihar) decides to withdraw from the UPSC journey, while SK (Abhilash Thapliyal) returns to Old Rajinder Nagar for his final UPSC attempt and begins teaching a subject he excels in.

Abhilash Sharma (portrayed by Naveen Kasturia) prepares for the last phase of his Civil Service Exam and forms a connection with Deepa (played by Tengam Celine), a fellow candidate from Arunachal Pradesh.

Aspirants Season 2: Exploring The Accidental Administrators

The second timeline, set five years after the first, sees Abhilash as a District Magistrate, while his former mentor, Sandeep Bhaiya (Sunny Hinduja), holds the position of Assistant Labour Commissioner.

SK works as a teacher at an institute, and Guri has become a successful entrepreneur, now married to Dhairya (Namita Dubey), who happens to be Abhilash’s ex-partner.

Throughout both timelines, the characters grapple with personal challenges, and the series effectively portrays themes of insecurity and betrayal, particularly in the context of Abhilash, Dhairya, and Deepa.

While “Aspirants” Season 2 maintains its heartwarming essence, it doesn’t quite live up to the expectations set by its promotional material. The show’s tone remains straightforward, lacking significant conflicts. The deliberate pacing fails to generate the desired impact.

This narrative navigates through the challenges and triumphs of their lives, both in the rigorous world of UPSC preparation and as they transition into adulthood beyond the confines of Rajinder Nagar.

It paints a vivid picture of their personal and professional struggles, delves into the complexities of their relationships with each other, and offers a glimpse into their connections with their families.

  • Fab Morvan reveals his only regret 33 years after Milli Vanilli’s shocking lip-syncing scandal

    • Director Luke Korem’s documentary Milli Vanilli uncovers the truth about the infamous music scandal involving Fabrice “Fab” Morvan and Rob Pilatus.
    • The film explores how the duo went from anonymous to worldwide stars before their producer revealed they were lip-syncing.
    • The documentary delves into the personal journey of Rob and Fab, the impact of the scandal on their lives, and the inner workings of the music industry at the time.

    Here is what happened:

In a recent interview with E! News, director Luke Korem discussed his new documentary on one of the biggest music scandals of all time – Milli Vanilli. Korem admitted that he initially had misconceptions about the duo, thinking they were talentless frauds. However, his perspective changed after watching a video of Fabrice “Fab” Morvan telling his story at The Moth in New York. Korem was struck by Morvan’s calmness and surprised by his beautiful voice when he began to sing. This led Korem to realize that he didn’t know much about Milli Vanilli at all.

Milli Vanilli’s rise to fame was swift yet followed by an equally swift downfall. Just months after winning the 1990 Grammy for Best New Artist, their producer revealed that it wasn’t their voices on their platinum-selling debut album. They went from worldwide stars to infamous figures as the first act to have a Grammy rescinded. The duo’s explanation was that they had signed a contract that got lost in translation due to their different cultural backgrounds. They believed they were just supposed to go along with what their producer wanted.

Korem’s documentary aims to tell the whole story, including how the inner workings of the music industry allowed for such a scandal to take place. The film also explores the personal journeys of Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan and how the scandal impacted them. Morvan expressed his disappointment with certain executives who took a long time to show remorse, even 30 years later. Despite the hardships they faced, Morvan continues to be a producer, songwriter, and performer, singing the Milli Vanilli hits that have now gained appreciation over time.

Overall, the documentary sheds light on the truth behind the Milli Vanilli scandal, allowing audiences to see the full story from different perspectives. Morvan hopes that through this film, more people will understand what happened to them and how it affected their lives.

  • If you’re looking for Mortal Kombat 1’s new Halloween Fatality in the premium shop, here’s when you can expect it to go on sale

The October patch for Mortal Kombat 1 applied a number of buffs, nerfs, bug fixes, and other adjustments. Of course, there was also a mention about some of the content being added to Mortal Kombat 1 via the Premium Store.

Over on Twitter, a user asked about the unlocking conditions for the “Halloween Finisher” as noted in the recent patch notes. WB Games Support responded by answering the question.

“The Halloween Fatality will be featured in the Premium Shop at a later date,” said WB Games Support. The expected date is October 27, 2023 — this Friday.

WB Games Support also told fans to keep an eye on Mortal Kombat’s social media for more information. As of right now, the price of this premium Fatality is unknown.

Based on what we’ve heard from dataminers, the Fatality will begin with the victorious character placing a Jack-o’-lantern upon the opponent’s head. Following this, they be subjected to an infestation of bugs and other creepy crawlers from within the Jack-o’-lantern.

After the opponent falls to their knees, they’ll be beheaded due to a well-placed kick to the head. We’ll then see their head go through a door of a spooky mansion within a black-and-white setting.

Based on all of this, this seems to be a premium Fatality that will be usable by the entire roster.

  • The Elephant Mario form from Super Mario Bros. Wonder needs to be in the next Super Smash Bros., here’s how it could work

Super Mario Bros. Wonder was released just last week. Many fans are already calling Super Mario Bros. Wonder the best 2D Mario platforming game since the Super Nintendo era. Indeed, review scores for the game have been very favorable.

Even Masahiro Sakurai recently made comments about Super Mario Bros. Wonder (and Spider-Man 2 for the PlayStation 5) on his Twitter account. He ended up having some very positive things to say about the newest 2D platformer.

“I finished Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder last night,” said Masahiro Sakurai on Twitter according to Google Translate. He noted that it can be a bit of a problem when such major titles are released on the same day like with this scenario.

As it turns out, Sakurai thinks that both games are masterpieces and he can recommend them to anyone. Overall, he’s grateful towards the developers of both games for delivering these titles.

Out of all the new powerups in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, it feels like the Elephant Mario form is the most iconic for the game. With that in mind, could it be possible to implement Elephant Mario into a future installment of the Super Smash Bros. series as a way of representing this great game?

In Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the hurtbox of the character expands greatly when in elephant form, but the playable character gains access to a melee-ranged trunk attack and the ability to store water that can sprayed later on.

Essentially, the implementation of Elephant Mario in Mario’s Smash moveset could work similarly to how Kazuya from the Tekken series transforms into his Devil Form for specific attacks. This could work particularly well with Mario’s Smash attacks.

Mario’s forward smash could be a shoulder ram in Elephant Mario form. As for his down smash, he could pound the ground. Finally, Mario’s up smash could be an up trunk attack as we’ve seen in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

By transforming Mario into his Elephant Mario form during smash attacks, Mario could see increased range and attack power. Additionally, other traits like increased weight or super armor properties could also be applied specifically when these attacks are being performed.

The existence of Elephant Mario could also result in Super Smash Bros. finally retiring F.L.U.D.D., Mario’s down special. Outside of the Super Smash Bros. series, F.L.U.D.D. hasn’t been relevant since 2002 when F.L.U.D.D. was introduced as Mario’s partner character for Super Mario Sunshine.

Essentially, the Elephant Form of Mario’s down special can work almost identically to how his down special currently works in that Mario can charge the special for a more powerful effect.

Upon spraying opponents with water, they’ll be pushed back by the wind boxes produced by the water effect. Considering that Elephant Mario would have to have an expanded hurtbox compared to Mario while charging and releasing his down special, it might be fine for the attack to actually cause damage similar to how Greninja’s up special does.

Of course, it should be noted that the water spray in Super Mario Bros. Wonder is pretty much harmless to most non-fire enemies, so that would probably be referenced appropriately in Super Smash Bros. as well.

  • Will Invasion Continue Its Alien Saga In Season 3?

“Invasion” is a science fiction TV series produced by Simon Kinberg and David Weil, which made its debut on Apple TV+ on October 22, 2021. The show garnered a diverse range of reviews from critics. In December 2021, the series was granted a second season, which hit screens on August 23, 2023.

In January 2019, Apple commissioned ten episodes of the series, with Simon Kinberg and David Weil taking on the roles of creators, writers, and executive producers. Additionally, Audrey Chon was named as an executive producer for the project.

In addition to the details provided above, there’s significant curiosity surrounding the potential for an “Invasion” Season 3. This article will delve into the prospects of a third season and also revisit the events of the Season 1 finale.

The Future Of Invasion Season 3 Prospects And Creator’s Vision

The TV series “Invasion” debuted in October 2021, and the confirmation of Season 2 came at the conclusion of its ten-episode first season. Season 2, however, took two years to return to Apple TV. As of the current moment, there is no official confirmation regarding a Season 3, as the show gears up for the Season 2 finale.

Will Invasion Continue Its Alien Saga In Season 3?

Initial reactions to the Season 1 finale of “Invasion” were mixed, but Season 2 has been met with more consistent and positive reviews.

Simon Kinberg, the creator, has noted that the response to Season 2 has been notably favorable, which raises optimism for a potential Season 3. Whether Apple TV will announce a renewal is likely contingent on the success of the Season 2 finale.

Taking Kinberg’s comments into account, the outlook for Season 3 seems more promising. If Apple TV is genuinely pleased with the series, it suggests they may consider giving it another season.

Also Read: Delayed Release For Walker Season 4

Furthermore, Kinberg has hinted at having a well-thought-out storyline that could even extend into an “Invasion” Season 4.

The Conclusion Of Invasion Season 1: What Occurs?

The conclusion of “Invasion” provides an explanation for the end of the initial alien aggression cycle, reflecting the character development and transformation of the main human protagonists.

In the Season 1 finale, the alien threat is vanquished as their spacecraft plummet from the sky and the alien organisms perish. Remarkably, Caspar, using his psychic abilities, is the one who single-handedly halts the alien invasion.

Will Invasion Continue Its Alien Saga In Season 3?

This superhuman effort seemingly costs Caspar his life, leading to a declaration of medical brain death and the removal of life support, which sends a grieving Jamila back to her mother and allows Trevante, still in denial, to consider reuniting with his estranged wife in the United States.

Aneesha, Luke, and Sarah Malik successfully evade the militia tracking them, seeking refuge. However, Luke is drawn back to the abandoned alien artifact and becomes enticed by its power.

Mitsuki bids a farewell to Hinata’s memory and embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Meanwhile, the U.S. Military explores a contaminated alien site within the Amazon rainforest.

The morgue scene displays Caspar’s lifeless body, only for “Invasion” to unveil that he is tapping into the alien hive mind, revealing that the alien spores still contain vitality. As the alien spacecraft return to Earth, the show’s characters observe with dread.

  • Mortal Kombat 1 balance patch visual guide showcased by Rooflemonger

The Mortal Kombat 1 October patch has been made live, and we now also have access to the patch notes. Within this patch are bug fixes, buffs, and nerfs that are sure to have an impact on the game’s overall meta.

Rooflemonger has recently released a video that serves as a visual guide for the patch. He goes over just about every notable change and theorizes on how these adjustments could affect competitive play.

One of the most notable adjustments is how Cyrax, the Kameo, was nerfed. Previously, it was believed that Cyrax was the overall best Kameo in Mortal Kombat 1 due to how his Horizontal Kopter Chopper allowed players to continue pressure against opponents. However, Cryax’s Horizontal Kopter Chopper now requires and consumes a full stock of Kameo gauge, dramatically reducing how often players will be able to use the attack.

Characters like Baraka, Geras, and Raiden received additional combo scaling for their attacks. In particular, combo scaling rises upon using a Kameo to interrupt certain hit reactions.

Rooflemonger even goes over an adjustment not detailed in the patch notes at all. As it turns out, Reptile’s damage is now a little bit higher. It’s speculated by Rooflemonger that NetherRealm Studios toned down the scaling of Reptile’s Force Balls which resulted in higher damage combos.

Check out the video below to get a visual representation of everything that’s changed with the latest Mortal Kombat 1 update:
