  • Model Maleesa Mooney Found Dead Inside Her Refrigerator – Tragic News

    • Maleesa Mooney, a 31-year-old model from Los Angeles, was found dead in her apartment on September 12.
    • An autopsy report revealed that Mooney was beaten, bound, and stuffed into her refrigerator.
    • The cause of death was determined to be homicidal violence, but the exact sequence of events leading to her death remains unknown.

    Here is what happened:

New details have emerged in the tragic killing of Maleesa Mooney, a 31-year-old model. Mooney’s body was discovered in her downtown Los Angeles apartment on September 12th, sparking a homicide investigation. The L.A. County Department of Medical Examiner confirmed her cause of death as “homicidal violence” and revealed that she was beaten and “wedged” inside her refrigerator. Autopsy reports indicated that she had her wrists and ankles bound together and tied behind her back using electronic cords and clothing items. Mooney was also gagged with a piece of clothing and had visible injuries to her head, torso, and arms. The report suggests that she was likely involved in a violent physical altercation prior to her death.

Mooney, who was two months pregnant at the time, had traces of cocaine and alcohol in her system according to toxicology testing. However, it remains uncertain if these substances played a part in her death due to the injuries observed on her body. The medical examiner’s report stated that, based on the known circumstances, Mooney’s death was likely the result of or at least related to the actions of another individual(s). Her death is classified as homicidal violence, with the manner of death being homicide.

Mooney’s body was found six days after she was last seen alive on surveillance camera, during a welfare check conducted by the police at her mother’s request. Following the discovery, Mooney’s sister, Jourdin Pauline, a Guyanese pop star, expressed her heartbreak and disbelief on Instagram. Pauline described her sister as her first best friend and the person who taught her everything, and she expressed her gratitude for the impact Mooney had on her life. A GoFundMe page was also set up in Mooney’s honor, describing her as a sweet and generous soul with a compassionate and giving heart.

Another model, Nichole Coats, was found dead in her downtown Los Angeles apartment two days before Mooney’s body was discovered. Although there was initially speculation about a possible connection between the cases, police later stated that there was no evidence to suggest that the deaths of Coats and Mooney were related. Coats’ death was ultimately ruled an accident, with the cause being determined as cocaine and alcohol toxicity. As of the latest update, there have been no new developments in Mooney’s case according to the police.

  • Teen Mom Jenelle Evans Reveals Son Jace Is Living With Grandma Barbara

    • Jenelle Evans’ son Jace is back living with her mom Barbara due to his behavior in the past.
    • Jace has been struggling with mental health issues and is currently receiving intensive therapy.
    • David Eason, Jenelle’s husband, was charged with a child abuse misdemeanor involving Jace.

    Here is what happened:

Jenelle Evans has recently opened up about the complicated family dynamics she is currently facing amid legal drama involving her son, Jace. After gaining full custody of the 14-year-old earlier this year, Jenelle shared that Jace, who has a history of running away from home, is now temporarily living with her mother, Barbara Evans. The decision comes in light of Jenelle’s husband, David Eason, facing child abuse allegations. It appears that Jace’s behavior in the past has prompted the family to consider relocating him to a different environment.

While Jenelle did not provide specific details about the incident that led to the child abuse charge against David, she did mention that he was involved in an incident with Jace back in September, during which items were confiscated from the teenager. Jenelle explained that her son has been struggling with mental health issues for the past few years and has been receiving therapy to address his boundary-related struggles, which was a factor in her gaining custody of him.

However, Jenelle also shared that her relationship with her mother has recently soured during a family trip to Puerto Rico. She expressed frustration with what she perceives as a biased investigation by the police, insinuating a smear campaign against her husband. Jenelle is determined to share the truth and feels violated by the system. Barbara, David, and the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office have not provided comments at this time.

Throughout the years, Jenelle has shared numerous family moments on social media, such as celebrating holidays, birthdays, and going on vacations with her children and stepdaughter. Regardless of the ongoing legal issues, Jenelle continues to prioritize her children’s well-being and seek the help they need to address their challenges.

  • Mortal Kombat 11 has more players than Mortal Kombat 1 on PC now

And we don’t usually see that for fighting games

Typically when a new fighting game releases, most players tend to move on from the prequel or at least stop playing the old game, but that’s not what we’re seeing at the moment.

Mortal Kombat 11 actually appears to be outpacing the new Mortal Kombat 1 in terms of player count, at least on PC with Steam.

According to Steam Charts, both Mortal Kombat games have been fairly equal in terms of concurrent active players at any given time beginning about a week ago, but the older game more often than not has the edge (even if MK1 had the very slight edge in actives at the time of reporting).

Mortal Kombat 1 was winning pretty handily since it first launched last month with MK11 suddenly surging back to life starting October 21.

Over that time, MK11 has managed to cross 10,000 active players basically every evening, which is a pretty impressive feat when it was peaking around 3,500 daily a month ago.

The last time MK1 reached 10,000 concurrent users on Steam was all the way back on was October 8 according to the charts.

We can’t remember this really happening before in a major fighting game release, and after taking a look back through Mortal Kombat X and the Injustice games, it certainly hasn’t happened for other NetherRealm Studios titles either.

We don’t think this is due to a singular reason, but likely a handful of factors that have built to that point.

One of the biggest at the moment may likely be that MK11 is on sale for just $5 on Steam and Ultimate for a seriously low $9.

If you compare how much content (all characters, two story modes, every update) in Ultimate to what Mortal Kombat 1 currently offers at $70, it’d make sense that new people are looking for the most bang for their buck right now.

That can’t be the only thing, however.

We didn’t see that with Street Fighter (even though Street Fighter 5 is also $5 right now too), we didn’t see that with Guilty Gear and we didn’t see that with The King of Fighters when they all had their sequels release. Not by a long shot.

Mortal Kombat 1 has infamously had issues since launch with many of them only really impacting the PC playerbase like crashes that would then leave users with over a gigabyte of memory taken away from crash reports every time.

Quite a few of those bugs have been smoothed out at this point, but even the new update this week didn’t seem to make more people hop back on to MK1.

While we can’t see the console numbers, we don’t really suspect this same trend has taken place on PlayStation and Xbox though we can’t really be sure of that either.

What we do see, however, is a PC base that is perhaps not looking forward to playing second fiddle behind the main consoles once again for the lifespan of another NRS game.

PC players got the new MK1 update late once again, and the company still won’t confirm if cross-platform play is coming to Steam or not — though at this point it’s looking less and less likely.

    It’s also a bit telling that MK1’s all-time peak of 26,576 concurrent players couldn’t quite match MK11’s 27,301 all-time record.

Meanwhile, the fighting game community on PC has continued to grow significantly more than where we were even back in 2019.

That’s not to say Mortal Kombat 1 is in mortal danger or anything.

It’s still putting up pretty good numbers as like the fourth-most played fighting game on Steam right now.

But being beaten out by your predecessor is almost unprecedented in this scene and does at least point to the concerns within such.

This MK11 resurgence may very well be just a temporary flash in the pan though when more people are going back to the old thing instead of supporting the new one, that’s not exactly great for a game company.

We’re extremely intrigued as to how everything will continue to develop for the PC Mortal Kombat community that found a sizable home with the last game.

Mortal Kombat 1 still has a lot of great stuff going for it, especially in the core gameplay, and we’re pretty sure Omni-Man’s release will help boost those numbers early next month too.
