  • Fortnite player gets creative recreating Sub-Zero and Mortal Kombat Fatalities

We now finally have a Street Fighter X Mortal Kombat crossover, but it’s in Fortnite now that Sub-Zero is available in the popular battle royale game.

And though the blue ninja can’t bring his M-rated Fatalities with him into Fortnite, some players are getting creative recreating a number of Mortal Kombat finishers.

TikTok user basecriss recently put together a fun little compilation of performing MK Fatalities using the Sub-Zero skin as best as he could with some extra help from some friends.

Things start out with a recreation of one of the most famous Mortal Kombat stage Fatalities off of the bridge, but instead of spikes waiting below, it’s just a giant rock to explode all your loot on.

The second one may be a take on Sub-Zero’s ice blast finisher from Mortal Kombat 2, but since there’s no ice bombs, some fire had to do the trick instead.

    Sorry Scorpion.

Another stage Fatality from the subway is also cleverly done, but instead or a train, the opponent gets hit by a sports car.

Of course they also had to recreate the ice ninja’s Friendship from Mortal Kombat 11 too since they actually put his ice cream bike in the game too.

You can check out the full clip below.

  • Radical Woke Teacher RESIGNS After LoTT Exposé

There has been no shortage of leftist meltdowns raging across the internet after Donald Trump took office. Some have developed only minor cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome while others are displaying severe symptoms.

One such individual that Libs of TikTok exposed seemingly developed one of the worst cases of TDS yet…

Meet Fred Wilson, a social studies teacher at Egg Harbor Township High School in New Jersey.

As you can probably tell from his picture, Fred appears to be a radical woke leftist, and that’s putting it lightly.

During our investigation, we discovered that Fred allegedly wore pro-LGBTQ shirts at school in front of kids. Not only that, but his social media pages were reportedly full of anti-Trump posts, even going so far as to appear to call for the assassination of President Trump.

Though we reached out to the school for comment, they did not respond. However, within one day of contacting the school, they deleted their entire X account.

A few days later, it was announced that the Secret Service had opened an investigation into this teacher for his violent online comments targeting the President.

Soon after our initial report broke, news flooded in that Fred Wilson would be resigning from his teaching position.

Schools should be places where children go to learn reading, writing, and arithmetic, instead of being indoctrinated with far-left ideologies and LGBTQ propaganda. It’s frightening to think that someone who appears as unstable as Fred Wilson was allowed to teach within our school system.

While the federal government moves to expel harmful ideologies from our educational institutions, we will carry out our mission to expose these far-left activists embedded in our schools.

    We are the media now.

    Have a great weekend

  • City of the Wolves system guide trailer details all the REV mechanics and more you need to know for the upcoming beta

It’s been around a year since Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves was first officially revealed to the world, and now fans all around the world are about to try it out at home in the open beta test.

But before that, however, people need to know how to play, and SNK just released a new trailer aimed at going over the new mechanics and systems you need to know.

Starting out, the trailer first details the basics of the REV System stating how players are free to use REV actions like EX specials until their meter at the bottom goes from 0 to 100%.

The Selective Potential Gear (S.P.G.) is similar to Garou: Mark of the Wolves’ T.O.P Mode chosen at the character select screen to go at either the beginning, middle or end of your health bar.

While active, S.P.G. allows user to deal more damage than normal while also giving them access to armored REV Blow attacks that can be used on the ground or in the air.

REV Arts are what City of the Wolves calls its EX specials, which work about how you’d expect, except when connected to the new Fatal Fury’s perhaps most exciting mechanic.

REV Accel lets players chain REV Arts into each other or REV Blows to open the doors to more combo possibilities than ever before at the cost of pushing you towards overheating.

Fatal Fury also gets a Marvel vs. Capcom-like pushblock called REV Guard that increase pushback when guarding and negate chip damage, but it can quickly push your meter to the limit if you use it for too long.

When overheated from using too many REV actions or blocks, players temporarily lose access to REV Arts and also can be subject to guard crushes if they stay on the defensive.

Successful attacks and Just Defenses can help speed up the amount of time needed to reset your REV Meter.

Fatal Fury is making sure to give users more defensive options to take advantage of as well to show off their skills.

Just Defense can be done when correctly inputting blocks on a tight window that opens up Guard Cancels to immediately take advantage back.

Or you can get extra flashy with Hyper Defense by pressing forward or down-forward when blocking multi-hit attacks — though it’s important to note the first block does not have to be a Just Defense to get the Hyper Defense boost.

The trailer goes on to cover some more advanced mechanics too including Braking, Dodge Attacks, and Feinting certain special moves to catch the opponent off-guard as well as the big Wild Punish counters.

And then there’s Ignition Gear, Redline Gear and Hidden Gear to serve as the game’s Super options.

If you want to get a taste of more Fatal Fury action before the beta starts at midnight PST on February 20, a bunch of new and developer match footage is available to take a gander at including the newest character Kain.

You can check out the new systems trailer below to see what City of the Wolves has to offer before the doors are blown wide open with the amount of options and potential this game has to offer.

  • Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and more great games are leaving PlayStation Plus next month

While there is usually some general excitement around games added to subscriptions services like the Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, it can also be a real bummer to see some of those titles leave each month too.

Sony just rolled out the new PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup for February, but also revealed which games are being removed in the next cycle — including a handful of big fighting games.

By looking at the ‘Last chance to play section’ of the PlayStation Store catalog, we can see a total of 10 games are getting KO’d from the service with a third of them being fighters.

The biggest loss for many in that avenue will likely be Mortal Kombat 11 on both PlayStation 4 and 5, which has managed to maintain a decent userbase despite Mortal Kombat 1 releasing almost a year and a half ago.

So those who’ve been grinding out towers and online for “free” will have to cough up funds for MK11 starting after the middle of next month — but at least the complete Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate package goes on sale for like $10 regularly.

Street Fighter 5 has also been part of the PS+ lineup for years now, but it seems Capcom and Sony have decided to fully sunset it from the service, which isn’t as big of a loss as just the base game unless you’ve been grinding out Fight Money to get everyone for free.

But like MK11, SF5 Champion Edition is also on sale fairly often for pretty cheap to get all of the content in one package (besides the final season at least).

And then the most costly removal will be JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R.

Although it’s a remaster from over a decade ago, JoJo’s R is still technically the newest title of the bunch and can be hard to find for less than $30 even on sale.

All-Star Battle’s lack of rollback netcode seemingly prevented its scene from growing too much, but the game is packed with so much fan service to please JJBA fans.

And then there’s more big games leaving including two more from Capcom with Resident Evil 3 and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy along with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot from Bandai Namco.

Next month’s departures are going to do a good chunk of damage to PS+’s modern fighting game lineup

It seems all you’ll really have left on that front will be Melty Blood: Type Lumina and Power Rangers Battle for the Grid.

All of these games are set to be removed from the service on March 18, and you can find the full list below.

    • Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

    • Final Fantasy Type-0 HD

    • JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R

    • Life is Strange 2

    • Life is Strange: True Colors

    • Monster Energy Supercross

    • Mortal Kombat 11

    • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy

    • Resident Evil 3

    • Street Fighter 5

  • Daigo Umehara responds to two-time Capcom Cup champion’s Street Fighter 6 challenge in the most Daigo way possible

International challenges being issued across the fighting game community are certainly something new, but having a two-time world champion call out someone regarded as one of the very best long-set competitors in the world has the potential for something special.

BST|Daigo Umehara has seen and reacted to former Capcom Cup champion MenaRD’s challenge to play each other in Street Fighter 6 in a first to 10 match in probably the most Daigo way imaginable.

The Beast himself just released a new video with English subtitles discussing Mena’s message and whether or not he should accept.

“Oh okay, so it’s this kind of message,” Daigo has a chuckle while reading out the Dominican champion’s letter for the first time. “He’s not just talking about doing a casual set. Yeah, it really is polite.”

The longtime fighting game legend then immediately shifts to logistics mode wondering how it’d work out exactly.

“Who would he play? Zangief? I wonder when he wants to do this. Would it be okay if it’s not this year? I haven’t done a first to 10 in a while.”

After some viewer comments, he also ponders if it’s even okay for him to accept at all since it could “make Tokido mad” or a bit upset.

He doesn’t say why, but we presume it’d be due to the legendary Kemonomichi set between Daigo and Tokido in Street Fighter 5 that was followed up by their rematch at the Topanga Championship in 2020 that felt like the perfect conclusion to their rivalry at the time.

There’s also talk on if they should do it before Season 3 likely coming around May to avoid the balance changes coming to SF6 / their characters.

“I do think some people would take issue with me just doing this out of the blue. Should I play someone else in the meantime? Should I go for it? Now I wanna do it.”

Then he begins to contemplate who he could train against to prepare for Luke and Zangief if the FT10 does end up happening.

So nothing is concrete yet, but he does sound pretty interested in the prospect of taking on and accepting Mena’s challenge at some point.

The earliest it could happen would probably be Capcom Cup 11 weekend next month since Mena and most of the best players in the world will already be in Japan, but there’s also Evo Japan 2025 in the Spring as well.

But at the same time, however, Daigo doesn’t sound like he’s in much of a rush to do this, so like he said, the showdown may not even happen this year even if he does agree.

Only around the first two minutes cover the Mena situation with the rest focusing on him helping his Crazy Raccoon Cup 7 team before the event.

And team Umehara ended up taking the whole thing in the end.

You can check out Daigo’s new video below to see his Daigo response to Mena’s letter as well as his mentor style with Komori Met and the rest of this team.

  • Capcom tackled two separate goals with the original assist system in Marvel vs. Capcom

Atsushi Tomita is well regarded for his work on X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. Everything came to a head when he acted as the Designer for Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes.

Some time ago, Tomita revealed interesting pieces of information regarding his time developing the games that would eventually pave the path forward for the Marvel vs. Capcom series. Nicholas MajinTenshinhan Taylor has provided us with translations of what he said.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes was the first game in the Marvel and Capcom crossover series of fighting games that featured the assist system. Unlike with Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3, the original Marvel vs. Capcom tasked players with selecting two main fighters and a dedicated assist at the character select screen.

Through Marvel vs. Capcom’s first assist system, Capcom was apparently able to accomplish two goals. First off, turning iconic Marvel characters into assists would save Capcom on development costs.

For a lot of these characters, Capcom had already designed the assets for them. Many of these assists were actually featured as playable characters in previous games. As such, it was far easier to turn someone into an assist rather than a full-fledged combatant.

However, the primary goal was to cater to fans of certain characters. Without the assist system, these sort of characters were unlikely to get any representation within the game.

“As for the Marvel side’s assists, we thought that using characters we’d already made would make players nostalgic and happy for them as well as save on development efforts on our side, so it was a two birds with one stone approach,” said Tomita.

“As for the Marvel side’s assists, we thought that using characters we’d already made would make players nostalgic and happy for them as well as save on development efforts on our side, so it was a two birds with one stone approach.” — Atsushi Tomita

Of course, Marvel didn’t approve of all of Capcom’s requests for characters. For example, Capcom originally wanted Galactus to be the final boss, but eventually settled on Onslaught.

Fortunately, Marvel was said to be very cooperative when it came to most of Capcom’s requests to use their characters as assists. Based on Tomita’s wording, it sounds like Capcom was anticipating difficulties getting approval from Marvel since they would effectively be putting major characters like The Mighty Thor into minor roles. Tomita even described Marvel as being “very generous” in this regard.

“Even if we weren’t asking for them as playable characters, Marvel were very generous and even let us use major characters such as The Mighty Thor and the very popular (at least among our team) Jubilee, so we were very happy to bring them in,” continued Tomita.

Marvel vs. Capcom’s assist system would eventually become an integral part of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3’s mechanics, though the system would ultimately be reworked to have characters function both as playable actors and assists.

  • New official Luminosity tier list released for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Over a year ago, Luminosity released their second Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tier list. A lot has changed within the meta for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate since then.

As such, Luminosity has now unveiled their third tier list. Of course, there have been a few dramatic shifts for certain characters on the rankings.

Previously, only Steve and Sonic were acknowledged as S+ tier combatants. However, Snake has ascended from his previous placement into the top three along with the other two third parties.

Mr. Game & Watch, Pyra & Mythra, and R.O.B. have remained in the S tier group, though it should be mentioned that R.O.B. has overtaken Pyra & Mythra. Kazuya Mishima has seen a substantial jump from A+ tier to S tier.

Just like with before, Ganondorf and Little Mac are perceived to be among the worst characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Dedede and King K. Rool also appear to be struggling, but at least they’re now joined by the Mii Swordfighter, Zelda, Piranha Plant, Dr. Mario, Simon, Richter, Villager, and Ike.

This newest tier list featured participation from 93 globally ranked panelists. All 86 characters have been grouped into one of 12 different tier categories.

To prepare the fighting game community for the upcoming Open Beta Test, SNK has provided NeoGeoNow and Rooflemonger with exclusive pre-release footage featuring gameplay from the developers themselves.

The build shown in the videos is the same build that us players will get access to when the Open Beta Test becomes available. As such, analyzing this gameplay footage should provide a competitive edge for this Thursday.

Since Justin Wong was in attendance for the 2025 Evo Awards ceremony, he was able to get the chance to try out Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves for himself against CPU opponents. Due to this, Justin Wong is able to provide some interesting insights about the game’s mechanics.

  • Official Super Saiyan 4 Goku mini character sheet by the original animator behind the Dragon Ball GT form

It’s crazy to think that Goku’s miniaturized Super Saiyan 4 form has been officially made canon thanks to Dragon Ball DAIMA. Previously the Super Saiyan 4 form first seen in Dragon Ball GT was believed to be noncanonical due to the existence of Dragon Ball Super.

What’s interesting about this redesign is that it was actually illustrated by the original character designer behind the Super Saiyan 4 form in Dragon Ball GT, Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru. Notably, Nakatsuru is known for having an artistic style that closely resembles that of Akira Toriyama himself.

There are a few major differences between the Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball DAIMA depictions of Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 form. While their similarities are undeniable, it’s also easy enough to distinguish where each version originated from.

In Dragon Ball GT, when transforming into his Super Saiyan 4 state, Goku would be able to temporarily return to his adult body. Naturally, this extended his height and the reach of his limbs, but it also provided an exceptional power boost.

What’s interesting about this form is that Goku’s hair would remain black. Of course, the rest of his body (including his tail) was coated in red fur.

Dragon Ball DAIMA’s redesign for the Super Saiyan 4 form did not revert Goku from his childlike appearance. Instead of black hair, it can also be observed that Goku has red hair.

Considering the timeline of Dragon Ball DAIMA, it’s implied that the Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and Ultra Instinct forms are significantly more powerful than this new Super Saiyan 4 form.

It should also be noted that Goku did not utilize his Super Saiyan 4 form later during his sparring session against Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7. Oddly, he referred to Super Saiyan 3 as being his final form (at the time).

This implies that Goku’s transformation into Super Saiyan 4 was a one-time deal. He probably isn’t able to take on this form again without Neba’s assistance.

Just recently, official character design sheets for the miniaturized Super Saiyan 4 Goku by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru have been released. There are even some Super Saiyan 3 character sheets included.

Of course, it’s important to note that this new form of Goku’s has not officially been named “Super Saiyan 4” just yet. Since it clearly takes inspiration from the Dragon Ball GT form, fans have simply been calling it that.
