  • Street Fighter 6’s summer update for Switch 2 could improve frame rates and input delay for all platforms

Capcom may add DLSS, or more upscalers, with this update

There’s an update coming to Street Fighter 6 around the time the Nintendo Switch 2 version is launched, which is set for June 5th, 2025. Because the Switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6 will feature crossplay, all versions of the game will need to be updated to support the latest platform being made available.

It’s possible this update will have the initial batch of the much hyped costumes and potentially the first DLC character of Season 3, although with how long it’s taking Capcom to release Elena, it’s certainly not a lock.

However, one of the features of the Nintendo Switch 2 is its ability to run DLSS, which improves frame rates and therefore reduces input delay, with the non-frame generation variant of the technology.

DLSS is very commonly used in PC games, but the upscaling technology is limited to Nvidia hardware. While that makes up about 75% of the graphics card market on PC, based on Steam’s March 2025 stats, the technology hasn’t been featured on a Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo console until now with the Switch 2.

Street Fighter 6 currently lacks any in-game menus to change the upscaling technology, for either FSR or DLSS, and this is costing gamers significant performance improvements that will boost frame rates and reduce input delay.

No explanation from Capcom has been given as to why Street Fighter 6 lacks these features, and it’s not the first time we’ve spoken about why the game should really have this feature.

With the Nintendo Switch 2 on the horizon though, and DLSS being one of the core features they’re relying on to boost frame rates and overall performance, it’s possible future versions of Street Fighter 6 will feature this commonly used technology, boosting performance for a large portion of the player base.

It’s also possible that the team at Capcom is able to eke out enough performance with the Switch 2 to run the game at 60 frames per second without using DLSS or another upscaler.

Hopefully they’re able to implement DLSS into the game though, as this would greatly benefit everyone with a GPU capable of taking advantage of this, which would be a large portion of the competitive playerbase.

After all, Monster Hunter Rise and Wilds are RE Engine (Reach for the Moon Engine) games which support DLSS, leaving it as fairly baffling why the same technology isn’t featured in Street Fighter 6, which also uses the same engine.

Adding FSR to the game would see a performance boost for both of the latest Sony and Microsoft consoles, and be in line with most other games from this modern era, which have upscaler support.

We should know for sure in June if DLSS — and potentially other graphic upscaling tech — will be coming to Street Fighter 6, but if you’d like to see this added to the game, it’s a great idea to let Capcom know, either in the comments below or by telling the developers on social media.

  • Funny comic shows why it would be bad for Cammy if Street Fighter 6 collaborated with Blue Mary and Android 18

All of the veterans that have returned to Street Fighter 6 thus far have had their appearances reworked. For example, Cammy has traded in her green leotard and beret for some yoga pants, a sports bra, and a leather jacket.

Some might argue that Cammy now looks very similar to SNK’s Blue Mary. Funnily enough, Blue Mary’s appearance was originally based on Dragon Ball Z’s Android 18, which is why those two look so alike.

Hershuar recently released an amusing comic that goes over the possibility that sees a collaboration with Blue Mary and Android 18, which is something that Street Fighter 6 has been prone to do from time to time.

It turns out that Cammy has reworked her appearance in such a way that’s a little too similar to that of Blue Mary and Android 18 for their liking. Evidently, the two are upset about Cammy’s change in wardrobe.

In the next scene, it can be observed that both Blue Mary and Android 18 are venting their frustrations onto Cammy. She’s getting her hair and jacket pulled in very uncomfortable ways.

Luckily for Cammy, this just turns out to be a nightmare. From this experience, she concludes that these specific collaborations should never be allowed to happen.

  • TheMainManSWE discusses why the removal of defensive options in Tekken 8 Season 2 has been so controversial

The Tekken 8 Season 2 patch was dropped earlier this week. This update features some of the most dramatic changes that the game has seen thus far.

Despite the development team stating that they wanted to dial back on the offense for the game, the changes don’t really reflect that. As such, players of all skill levels are very unhappy about the current state of Tekken 8.

The impact of these changes has resulted in Tekken 8 being reviewed as overwhelmingly negative over on Steam. Many pro players have also taken to X to express their disappointment with Season 2.

TheMainManSWE recently released a video breaking down why the meta for Tekken 8 is in a problematic place right now. Within the video, TheMainManSWE emphasizes how Tekken 8 now has “zero competitive integrity.”

Even though blocking and side stepping have received some buffs, none of this seems to matter as many of the new moves added to Tekken 8 simply lack counterplay. For example, King always has access to a mix up that all players must equally respect.

Since everyone is forced to deal with the same situations, it’s argued that Tekken 8 is very lacking in terms of skill expression. According to TheMainManSWE, this has resulted in a game that nobody wants to see in the competitive format.

  • Masahiro Sakurai confirms Bandai Namco’s involvement with the Switch 2’s Kirby Air Riders, future implications for Super Smash Bros.

Earlier this week, Nintendo finally unveiled all the juicy details surrounding the Switch 2. Towards the end of the presentation, it was revealed that Kirby Air Riders was one of the games being developed exclusively for the Switch 2.

While this news was certainly exciting for fans of Kirby Air Ride (originally released on the GameCube back in 2003 and 2004), its existence means that it’ll be quite a few years before fans of Super Smash Bros. are able to get ahold of the next iteration of the Super Smash Bros. franchise on the Switch 2.

Prior to this announcement, Masahiro Sakurai revealed that he had been working on a secret game project since April 2022. Indeed, it’s been approximately three years since production first started, but it’s finally been confirmed that Kirby Air Riders is the game that Sakurai has been working on all this time.

At the conclusion of the Kirby Air Riders trailer, fans learned that the companies involved with this game were Sora Ltd. (Sakurai’s company), Nintendo, and HAL Laboratory. However, Sakurai would later reveal that another company is actually directly involved with the development of this title.

“Just like Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U & 3DS and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the recently announced ‘Kirby Air Riders’ game is also being developed by Bandai Namco Studios,” said Sakurai on X.

“The full staff is giving their all in developing the game, but it will take some time before we can share more information. Please wait a bit longer.”

For the third time in a row (or fourth if you count Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U separately), Masahiro Sakurai is directly working with Bandai Namco to work on a major title for Nintendo.

Kirby Air Riders is set to be released sometime before the end of this year. As of right now, it’s unknown if the game will see DLC support after it gets released, but it looks like the type of game that may not necessarily need post-launch content like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate did for the Switch (which could explain Kirby Air Riders’ especially long development cycle).

Once Kirby Air Riders is finished, Masahiro Sakurai might immediately move on to his next project. As such, it’s very likely that Nintendo will request that Sakurai create a game proposal for a new Super Smash Bros. entry on the Switch 2, assuming they haven’t done so already.

Notably, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the third best-selling game on the Switch as it had recently achieved over 35.88 million sales to date. Needless to say, Nintendo probably has a vested interest in having a new entry of the Super Smash Bros. series created for the Switch 2 at some point or another.

Regardless, once Kirby Air Riders is finished with, that team at Bandai Namco will also be moving on to their next project. Odds are good that Sakurai may choose to rely on them for a fourth (or fifth) time to develop his next game.

At this point, it’s been established that fans of the Super Smash Bros. fans have a long wait ahead of them, but development on another entry could potentially start up near the end of this year or at the start of 2026. We’ll just have to see how things play out from here to find out.

  • New Devil May Cry animated series features fun Street Fighter cameo

After years of waiting, the Netflix Devil May Cry animated series is finally here and on the scene.

And if you’re wondering if there’s any references or cameos of other Capcom franchises in the Devil May Cry show, the answer is yes.

Some minor spoilers for Devil May Cry episode 2 may follow.

In the second episode of the DMC series, a group of mercenaries are sent to capture Dante and his necklace, and that goes about as well as you’d expect for them.

Dante is shown to have multiple arcade cabinets in his apartment somehow, and at least one of them works — or at least it did.

During the brawl, one of the mercs attempts to run away but is grabbed by the demon hunter, and then we suddenly see Street Fighter 2.

On the arcade cabinet, Ken is shown giving a Shoryuken to M. Bison followed by Mr. Masters’ win pose with the ‘Perfect!’ sound effect.

This is of course just a fun little reference to another Capcom property, but it’s still cool to see nonetheless.

The Ken inclusion could also be a little tribute to Dante’s previous voice actor as well.

Reuben Langdon voiced Dante starting in Devil May Cry 3 as well as spin-offs like Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but that’s not all.

Langdon also voiced Ken Masters starting in Street Fighter 4, which he continued to do for over a decade until Street Fighter 6 where he did not reprise his role again.

Now, Johnny Yong Bosch provides the voice of Dante in the show, who was previously the actor of Nero in the Devil May Cry games.

If there’s any other Capcom references in the new show, we’re not sure because we haven’t gotten any further in the series yet.

You can check out the Street Fighter clip below around the 1:04 mark if it doesn’t start there automatically.

  • LoTT Gets 4 BIG WINS This Week

The month of April is now underway, and Libs of TikTok is already racking up some major wins against wokeness and corruption! So, without further ado, let’s begin…

Starting the week strong, we exposed Zachary Sandi, a male teacher in Texas who pretends to be a woman and says he gets “gender euphoria” from being called “ma’am.”

Following our exposé, he resigned from his position and is no longer allowed back in the school.

A BIG WIN for the parents of Texas!

Next, we have Army Reserve Captain Christina Winters, another man pretending to be a woman. Christina released a video for “Trans Day of Visibility” claiming that the Trump administration was attempting to remove trans people from their homes and encouraged people to be “annoyingly” proud about their LGBTQ propaganda.

Shortly after our story went viral, the Army Reserve confirmed that they were aware of the video and were “taking appropriate action.”

Following the woke Army Captain, we exposed a radical leftist city council member from Loveland, Colorado.

Erin Black, a pro-LGBTQ sitting city council member, showed up with a large gang of individuals who appeared to harass/intimidate a constituent. Erin herself yelled and pointed a large rainbow umbrella at the constituent while her cohorts harassed him.

After our coverage of the video blew up online, the Loveland City Council voted UNANIMOUSLY to pass a motion demanding that Erin Black resign from her position.

Lastly, we achieved a big win after revealing that a Georgia Air Force base registration form that was still listing options such as “Non-Binary” under gender.

Just one day after our report, the Department of Defense issued a direct statement confirming that they have deactivated the form until it complies with Trump’s Executive Orders.

While the mainstream media and Democrat establishment advocate for protecting illegal aliens, pushing gender ideology on children, and encouraging violent leftists to vandalise Teslas across, Libs of TikTok is continuing to expose the very stories they want to keep hidden.

If they don’t want to tell the truth, then we will. We are the media now!

Have a great weekend, and see you next week!

  • First glimpse at Elena’s character render shown in Street Fighter 6’s Nintendo Switch 2 material

We ended up not getting an Elena teaser this week, but instead, Capcom announced Street Fighter 6 on the Nintendo Switch 2.

And though they haven’t shown her in motion yet, the Nintendo Switch 2 material does actually provide our first look at Elena’s character render ahead of her full reveal.

Besides the new cover art shown for the upcoming Street Fighter Years 1-2 Fighters Edition that showed Elena front and center, the trailer provided our first glimpse at her.

At around the 1:15 mark, we can see Elena featured at the bottom along with the rest of the cast, but that’s not all.

They also included another look at the same render art on the SF6 Switch 2 website next to Mai Shiranui.

Unfortunately, Capcom has yet to show off the image in full detail, but we can get pretty much the full picture here already.

There was also the alleged Fighting Pass image leak for Elena that’s been floating around online this week if you know where to look though.

While we still don’t have a release date, we expect Elena to likely release sometime in May, however, it may not come until after the start of the Capcom Pro Tour 2025 that starts in the first half of the month at Evo Japan 2025.

That means we should see Elena’s teaser hopefully sometime in April where Capcom will presumably show off her appearance in World Tour mode ahead of her actual gameplay trailer.

You can check out all of the images below as well as the full high quality art of the new bundle edition’s cover.

  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Community Edition now available with over 60 modded characters added to the game

The modding community for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has been tearing it up for a few years now since they learned how to add custom character models and slots to the game, and now we can see the culmination of all their hard work.

The Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Community Edition project recently released finally, providing dozens of new characters to play as.

In fact, there’s a whopping total of 68 modded fighters to pick from, which more than doubles the base roster of 50.

Between the dozen plus creators contributing to the mod, they’ve put together some classic returning MvC cast members like Venom, Gambit, Charlie, Shadow Lady, Psylocke, Thanos, Captain Commando and even some more recent ones from Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite like Ultron and Monster Hunter.

The vast majority of characters, however, are brand new to the series including Leon S. Kennedy, Asura, Carnage, Shocker, Yun, and many, many more.

We also previously covered the latest Community Edition trailer that showcased the newest additions of Rival Schools’ Kyosuke, Bad Box Art Mega Man, Devil May Cry’s Nero, Marvel’s Blackheart, Street Fighter’s Juri and Yun, and Saki Omokane from Quiz Nanairo Dreams, which you can also check out below.

There’s an optional HAVENGERS tournament version of the project too that offers modded stages, new BGM and additional alternate costumes to try out as well.

This project was originally announced all the way back in 2023, so it’s cool to see it finally come to fruition.

We’re unsure if there’s more updates and characters planned for the massive mod pack or if this will serve as the definitive edition to have fun with for now.

We’ve included all the featured modded characters below, and more information can be found on the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Community Edition Nexus Mods page.
