See How Much Google Paid the Guy that Bought Google.com domain
For a single minute in September, Google.com did not belong to Google.Sanmay Ved, an ad sales worker and former Googler, bought the domain right out from under Google’s nose using the search giant’s own domain-buying platform.Google quickly cancelled the order and regained control of the most-trafficked site on the Web. But the company offered Ved a $6,000.13 reward—the numbers spell out Google, sort of—for uncovering the security flaw, according to a blog post. When Ved said he intended to donate the reward to charity, Google doubled theamount to $12,000.Ved wasn’t the only person to get paid for highlighting a flaw in Google’s services. Overall, Google gave researchers $2 million for uncovering vulnerabilities across the company’s platforms in 2015.~Time -
Traders – Garri no longer sells due to Lassa fever Outbreak
We all know how the government is trying to curtail the new plague in the country that has digged into 17 States and counting. But the fact that ordinary garri is been put on a lench still cradles trades arms.
Calabar Reporters took it to popular markets including Watt Market in Calabar, Ariaria market in Aba, Gboko market in Benue, Ogbete market in Enugu, Idomata market in Lagos and many others in survey of how the garri business is going. But this is the reply we get;
“from one madam Eno: people no longer buy garri because they are afraid of the so called Lassa fever.
From Mr. Obiora: I’ve been sitting since morning and no customer is even looking at my place.
Why others complains of their garri being refunded due to the hype being put on garri causing Lassa fever.”This ought not be so, there are main factors that causes the lassa fever, you can read more here. For the most Nigerians live with their hearts in hands once news related to health comes up. You can still sip garri but by re-frying it again to help kill the virus.
How will Nigerians survive if garri is now a an enemy to all? Please drop your comments below, thanks.

BOA To Support Cross River In Commercial Banana Production
The Ayade’s administration is really transforming the state into the apex of democracy as more and more good tidings are flourishing the state.
According to reports from CrossRiverWatch.com, the Bank of Agriculture has expressed its readiness to partner and assist the Cross River government in large scale Banana production amongst several others in its bid to deliver on its mandate of financing the agro sector to ensure food security for the nation.
The Managing Director of the Bank, Professor Dan-Bala Danju disclosed this earlier today in an interactive meeting with Cross River’s governor Benedict Ayade where he also disclosed plans were in place to ensure the state benefits from the over 200 billion Naira set aside by the country’s apex bank to be accessed by states for agricultural purposes.
Danju averred that the bank will readily partner the state due to “the enthusiasm and passion you (governor Ayade) have showed towards agricultural development which encouraged me to leave other engagements in Abuja to come here.”
He stressed that the country currently faces an existential problem due to the relative performance of agricultural yield and called for more financing for the sector to ensure the true diversification of the nation’s economy.
Ayade, on his part urged the Bank of Agriculture to see Cross River as a unique state to partner with and called for a rethink in the methods and mechanism used in agro business.
Describing Cross River as a state that is very unique, the governor averred that the state is focusing on a few major crops which are essentially traditional to the state.
These he said, includes banana, maize, rice, corn and cocoa. He also tasked the MD to “give us attention for this four crops and give us a target. Work and identify with us, structure a facility that does not comes to the state in Naira”.
Pointing out that the state is the only one in Nigeria with almost all the geographic belts for various crops to be grown, Ayade queried “how can I sit on a state with such vast resources and say we are poor? It will be sterility of ideas.”
He said Nigeria has lost it due to an attitude problem where everyone focused on oil, stressing the various programs so far failed to address the problem which left the hopes very dim.
“We have an attitude problem where there is so much sophistry because of so much certification in university education without corresponding hands on skills to sustain agriculture at the level that passion and core competence required to get us there.”Ayade further lamented a situation where farmers are allowed to bear the brunt of production which does not encourage high productivity and called for a technologically driven agro sector to increase yield due to the scarce availability of arable land to cultivate.

Naira slightly increase against the US dollar
Recently the equivalency of Naira to dollar has marveled a lot of Nigerians as it’s hit a record high since the creation of the Nigerian Naira.
Few days ago the naira to dollar amount climbed to a record of 7% which has destroyed most businesses and rendered a lot of people absurdity. The naira was about N199.79 official price and N305 market price. This alone will stand on the way of brutalizing the economy. As lots of people keep complaining of loosing sales and partnership.
Yesterday and today, there’s been a stability in the market as the price slightly dropped to N199.1 official price and N290 market price. This price is still high as most Nigerians are awaiting the $1 = N160 thing or even lesser at least.
Dollar to Naira now stands:
Official = N199.1
Market = N290 -

See How people are sleeping outside of MTN offices/outlets because of Sim card verification
Buying a Sim card to browse and make calls then was like ABC, but now you have to document your line/Sim card for you to enjoy communication services and you have to do it with sweat.
When I had a text message from MTN asking me to verify my line by submitting my biometrics with a valid ID card, I thought it was a mere and simple thing. But not withstanding, it was a hell thingy as the crowd in a particular location was beyond accountability.
Seeing able men struggling for space was a normal thing, but seeing old men and women sleeping with mats outside the cold and breezy weather was something not to be celebrated.
This people have had their Sim Cards registered several times before now according to their report, but why the verification is what still baffles me. The worst of all is that most of their outlets were blocked and I noticed that in a town or city only one service center was available. Why they have to suffer the people I don’t know, or is it because of the multiple billion fine being given to them by NCC?
This is crazy and wicked, just take a look at these photos below…
