It is the spirit of entrepreneurship development that have led the Ben Ayade led administration to partner with the United Kingdom as it regards the establishment cum completion of a giant industry in Cross rivers state.
According to our source, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright, disclosed to the Cross River state government that his country, United Kingdom, would be pleased to partner with the state government towards the successful establishment of what in his words is a 'garment factory in the state'.
The High Commissioner (Paul Arkwright), made the partnership known on Monday at the Governor’s office in Calabar.
Arkwright argued convincingly that the project would pave the way for an enormous employment opportunities and skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development (SAED) in the state.
The UK diplomat who visited the proposed site for the garment factory together with his Excellency,the Governor and other dignitaries were happy with the progress of work done by the contractors.
He (Mr Paul Arkwright) did however promised to bring in British expertise that would help to realize the goals of the project which is 'Skill and Vocational Development' as it would in turn improve business opportunities in Cross River state.
Governor Ayade in appreciation of Arkwright’s commendations and promises expressed gratitude towards the partnership.
He added that the partnership between the two countries would translate into creating thousands of jobs for the unemployed youths in the state.
In respect to when the projected is to be completed and running, the Governor projected the month of April this year for the commissioning.
