On Monday, a newly born baby covered in blood was found at a dumpsite located in Etisheshi Primary Health Care on the outskirts of Mokwa in Niger State.
The lifeless baby was found with blood stains was found by a passerby at the dumpsite, according to a source who spoke to THE WHISTLER.
Mohammed Kudu, a community leader, confirmed the news.
“ I was told about it but I never visited the place. And I was told that the baby was also buried immediately “, Kudu said.
Mohammed Abdullahi, Social welfare officer for Mokwa Local Council also confirmed the incident to THE WHISTLER.
“I was called that a newlyborn baby was dumped in a bin at a Primary health centre”, he said.
“The baby was dead when we got there and we buried the baby there immediately”.
He further told THE WHISTLER that his team is yet to find the mother who abandoned the baby in the trash.
