New Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay footage shows off combat, open world, more

IGN has revealed 9 minutes of gameplay footage from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The game showcases a lot of combat from the game. Just like the previous title, you can expect some great combat with a lot of enemies and bosses. Dual wielding lightsabres and using special Force abilities were highlights of the newly shown combat. Besides these, the gameplay footage offers a great look at the open world of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor after Cal crash lands on Koboh and is forced to explore the planet to find a way for repairing his ship, The Mantis.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will have some improvements over its predecessor with the addition of fast travel and rideable creatures. While speaking to Play Magazine, game director Stig Asmussen said, “The fast travel is point to point, and the rideable creatures offer a way to quickly negotiate between points and explore what is in between.” Many Fallen Order players had complained about the lack of fast travel, which made backtracking in levels pretty tedious. The developer has addressed this feedback with fast travel and rideable mounts to make traversal easier.
