Mortal Kombat 1 has seen a ton of change in recent weeks as NetherRealm Studios has updated the game with new characters and new balance properties in the never ending effort to maximize feelings of fairness and fun.
Players have taken issue with how predictable final brackets of major tournaments have been as the likes of Johnny Cage, Homelander, and a few others have taken the lion’s share of attention thanks to overpowered abilities. Things have changed fairly drastically according to True Under Dawg Gaming, who has dared to be one of the first to come out with a fresh tier list that sees some of the best and worst characters switch places.
There have actually been a handful of patches since Johnny and Peacemaker dominated the final brackets at Final Kombat, and indeed there has even been an additional one that’s rolled out after TUDG made this list, which just goes to show how in flux MK1 truly is.
He orders the game’s 29 main roster members across four different tier levels including top 8, A, B, and C. There are eight characters in each tier, save for C, which has only five (including Peacemaker, who has fallen very far since his reign of dominance a few months back).
Characters like Nitara and Scorpion have made massive ascensions while Raiden and Geras have seen falls from grace. A few other characters have made significant moves, and the content creator has come to a solid conclusion about newest DLC character, Takeda, who isn’t faring all that well at the moment.
