The highly anticipated Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics compilation from Marvel and Capcom is out tomorrow and fans could not be more thrilled. This new package will be bringing back seven classic titles (six of them fighting games) all on modern consoles with numerous exciting modern fighting game features.
With the official launch just out of arm’s reach, the game’s social media page continues to share new footage and trailers of the upcoming compilation to provide further details about what fans can expect when it finally releases. Yesterday, the Marvel vs. Capcom Twitter page shared a new clip of the MvC Collection that showcases the game selection screen, as well as several of the in-game options you’ll be able to utilize.
The tweet begins by reminding fans that the game is out in two days (from when it was originally posted). Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is set to drop digitally on Thursday, September 12, and physical copies will follow on November 22.
This tweet goes on to recap some of the various features and options the collection is set to come equipped with. The compilation will be packed with online play, rollback netcode, training mode, a high score challenge, filters and borders, and more.
Featured within this collection we have X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, and The Punisher. This new footage shows all of these titles on the game select screen, which like previous Capcom collection titles are organized into a revolving menu that you can scroll through.
The on-screen options list “Game,” “Game Version,” and “Player,” which allow you to select which game you want to play, the version of the title, and which side (P1 or P2) you want to begin on. The Game Version option allows players to choose from standard English to Japanese and alternate versions that can have some different traits to them, which is an nice added touch to have as these classic titles did see changes depending on what platform and version they were.
