After going dark for basically a year, Player1stGames finally came back this week and re-revealed MultiVersus to the gaming world.
On top of that, they also shared what looks to be their new main key art visual for MultiVersus as it approaches the platform fighting game’s official launch.
As can be seen in the image, there’s new renders for most of the game’s roster members who were present in the beta though the MultiVersus logo appears to be the same.
Unfortunately, there’s no new characters here (yet), but they do prominently feature Bugs Bunny, Batman, Shaggy, Arya Stark, Tom & Jerry, Marvin the Martian, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Garnet, Velma, Jake, Reindog, Superman, Iron Giant, Rick, Morty and Gizmo.
Others like Tax, LeBron James, and Black Adam aren’t present in this art though from the new footage, it looks like everyone from the beta is back.
There are some apparent teasers too for upcoming content that’ll be included like Townsville from the Power Puff Girls, Pinky & The Brain, and The Animaniacs — so we’ll have to wait a bit longer and see what that’s going to shape up to be.
In their return video, the developers state that new characters are coming as well as new and improved netcode along with new moves and mechanics for characters and of course more content than was available in the beta.
MultiVersus is now scheduled to launch on May 28, 2024 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Steam as a free to play title.
